With the rapid changes in healthcare system, the impact on healthcare design is significant and constantly changed. Because of emergence of new technology, far-advanced methods of healthcare delivery, and changing social and environmental issues, the healthcare planners and architects have to make sure that future expansion are taken into consideration when they design the hospitals. This thesis aims to investigate the hospital remodeling cases in Korea and USA and find the solutions for the vertical expansion of the hospitals in the metropolitan area where the buildings may be limited to be horizontally expanded. The M Cancer center in Manhattan, NY is selected to be carefully investigated and analyzed. Based on this analysis, the strategy for the vertical expansion of the hospital will be suggested.

세계경제의 블록화가 진행됨에 따라 기업의 글로벌화가 증가하게 되고 이로 인한 기업의 해외시장으로의 진출은 가속화되고 있다. 또한 국제 분업화가 촉진되어 글로벌 물류서비스에 대한 필요성이 증가하고 물류시장이 해마다 성장하고 있다. 특히 기존의 화주기업들은 자사내 물류관리를 물류전문기업인 3PL 업체에 아웃소싱하여 물류관리 효율성 증대, 국제 경쟁력 강화를 도모하고 있다. 실제로 포춘(Fortune)지 선정 500대 기업의 70% 정도가 물류 분야를 아웃소싱하고 있으며, 이러한 추세는 향후에 더욱 증가할 것으로 예상된다. 이러한 물류 환경변화에 대응하기 위해 글로벌 물류기업들은 물류기업간 M&A, 전략적 제휴 등을 통해 글로벌 물류네트워크를 구축하여 제조업체들의 다양한 물류서비스 요구에 대응하고 있다. 그러나 국내 물류기업은 글로벌 물류기업과 비교해 볼 때 규모, 서비스 범위, 네트워크 등 전반적으로 크게 뒤져있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 글로벌 물류기업 가운데 대상기업을 선정하여 물류기업의 현황 및 성장전략을 분석하였다. 또한 국내 물류기업의 효과적인 해외시장 진출을 위해 Imitation Strategy를 이용한 해외시장 진출 전략을 수립하였다. 그 결과로는 첫째, 우리나라가 강점을 보유한 정기선사, 정기 항공사 등의 부문에서 발전 모델을 모방하여 확대 적용하여야 한다. 둘째, 모방기업은 DHL과 Agility이며, 모방대상은 글로벌물류기업 가운데 세계화, 전문화, 독점화, 공공화, 동반화, 현지화에 강점을 지닌 기업의 사례분석을 통해 이 부문의 경쟁력을 강화시켜야 한다. 셋째, 모방시점에 있어서 국내 물류기업은 기존시장에 있어서는 후발주자 전략으로, 신흥시장은 개척자 전략으로 대응해 나가야 한다. 넷째, 국내 물류기업은 기존 물류서비스와 충돌하지 않도록 물류서비스 영역을 확보해 나가야 하고 글로벌 물류기업의 틈새시장을 잘 활용해야 한다.

이 연구는 미디어 산업의 변화가 가져온 글로벌 진출 확대의 필요성이 EBS(한국교육방송공사)에게도 똑같이 적용된다는 점을 인식하고, EBS가 공영방송인 동시에 미디어 기업으로서 정립해야 할 해외진출 전략의 방향성을 모색하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 이 연구는 EBS의 해외진출 전략을 구체적으로 논의하기에 앞서 방향성과 접근방법을 탐색해보는 기초연구의 성격을 띠고 있으며, 이를 위해 글로벌 미디어 기업과 해외 주요 공공 서비스 방송사(PSBs)와 관련된 문헌과 자료들을 종합적으로 분석하는 문헌연구 방법을 사용하였다. 연구결과, 글로벌 미디어 기업들의 해외진출 전략 분석을 통해 도출된 시사점은 EBS 글로벌 전략의 재구조화가 필요하고, 경제적 활동 기회의 확대를 위해 글로벌화를 추진해야 하며, 해외 주요 PSB들은 공적 책무 이행을 위해 개발도상국 지원사업을 실시하고 있고, 글로벌 미디어 기업의 성장 배경에는 국가정책과 지원이 자리하고 있다는 점이었다. 결론적으로 이 연구는 EBS 해외진출의 방향성은 상업적 사업다각화와 공적 책무 이행 등 두 가지 측면 모두에서 접근해야 하며, 특히 한국 교육방송 시스템의 개발도상국 전수사업을 해외진출 확산의 핵심사업으로 발전시켜 나가야 한다는 정책 방향을 제시한다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다. 후속 연구에서는 이 연구에서 도출한 EBS 해외진출 확산 전략의 방향성과 접근방법을 토대로 종합적인 진출 전략을 제시하는 연구가 수행되어야 할 것이다.

This study suggests a set of Causal Loop Diagram (CLD) of Causality Mechanism which integrates the matter of characteristics of emerging market and its expansion strategies. In order to make CLD more objective, all causalities are articulated from recent 55 studies (2000~2012) of SSCI Top Journals. This approach is valuable in that it is a first try to draw all the causalities from rigorous literature review regarding emerging market strategy. The 5 CLDs will show and clarify the strategies of how to expand into emerging market for MNCs. In sum, political activity and institutional void is a critical factor related to characteristics of emerging market, and CSV and cultural distance should be considered as a leverage point. For all this study's contribution to clarify the causality of emerging market strategies with abundant literature review, the study has its limits in integrating and testing CLD.

Construction projects that should be under the construction supervision regulation were decreased in 2008 and new supervision projects in 2010 were significantly reduced by 60% comparing to the ones as of 2009. On the contrast, the volume of world construction projects including Middle·South Asia and Africa is forecasting to be increased by 46% in 2018. However, although the needs of oversea expansion of domestic construction supervision firms are appeared more and more, their preparations to the strategically important areas in the world are insufficient. Thus, this paper aims to suggest directions of strategics and plans for domestic construction supervision industry to expand the market to the world through questionnaire surveys and expert investigation.

This paper proposes a novel probabilistic load flow model for power systems integrated with large-scale wind power, which considers the multi-time scale dispatching features. The ramp limitations of the units and the steady-state security constraints of the network have been comprehensively considered for the entire duration of the study period; thus, the coupling of the system operation states at different time sections has been taken into account. For each time section, the automatic generation control (AGC) strategy is considered, and all variations associated with the wind power and loads are compensated by all AGC units. Cumulants and the Gram-Charlier expansion are used to solve the proposed model. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated using the modified IEEE RTS 24-bus system and the modified IEEE 118-bus system.

This paper proposes a method for choosing the best composite power system expansion plan considering a contingency security criterion. The proposed method minimizes the investment budget fer constructing new transmission lines subject to contingency criterion. it models the power system expansion problem as an integer programming one. The method solves for the optimal strategy using a branch and bound method that utilizes a network flow approach and the maximum flow-minimum cut set theorem. Although the proposed method is applied to a simple sample study, the test results demonstrate that the proposed method is suitable for solving the power system expansion-planning problem subject to practical future uncertainties.

This paper presents an adaptive strategy of GENCOs for reducing the greenhouse gas by fuel mix change. Fuel mix stands for generation capacity portfolio composed of different fuel resources. Currently, the generation sector of power industry in Korea is heavily dependent on fossil fuels, therefore it is required to change the fuel mix gradually into more eco-friendly way based on renewable energies. The generation costs of renewable energies are still expensive compared to fossil fueled resources. This is why the adaptive change is more preferred at current stage and this paper proposes an optimal strategy for capacity planning based on multiple environmental scenarios on the time horizon. This study used the computer program tool named GATE-PRO (Generation And Transmission Expansion PROgram), which is a mixed-integer non-linear program developed by Hongik university and Korea Energy Economics Institute. The simulations have been carried out with the priority allocation method in the program to determine the optimal mix of NRE(New Renewable Energy). Through this process, the result proposes an economic fuel mix under emission constraints compatible with the greenhouse gas mitigation policy of the United Nations.

This study was to consider the development strategy of Jeju Marine leisure equipment industry for facilitating marine leisure tourism industry. For achieving this goal, the case studies related to domestic & foreign marine leisure equipment industry, interviews of marine leisure equipment company, the contents of specialist consultation meeting were used in this study. The strategies for promoting were suggested in progress that step 1 was the expansion of maintenance infrastructure as of a port of call, step 2 was the establishing of marie leisure tourism image, step 3 was the integration of marine leisure equipment industry. More specific suggestions were followed. As an aspect of infrastructure, the expansion of management of marine leisure equipment such as yacht, development of marina having similar image of Jeju were suggested. As an aspect of law/institution, the development of financial support system on the marine leisure equipment, promotion of establishment of professional education institutions were suggested. As an aspect of contents/programs, the hosting the exhibition of marine leisure used equipment of international trade, the development of environmental-friendly program associated with cruise were suggested, Finally, as an aspect of promotion/marketing, the promotions linked with drama & movie industry, the strategy of improvement of negative image to the yacht industry were suggested.
