Uniform Pricing하에서의 지역적 완화방안으로서의 Bid Cap (An Assessment of Local Market Power and Bid Cap Under Uniform Pricing Scheme)

  • With the growing competitive pressure from market participants, utilities, consumer and government, analyses of existing competitive electricity market become more important. The presence of congestion in the transmission system can significantly increase the potential of exercising market power. Since the congestion in the network depends on the several factors, the market power cannot be simply analyzed through the existing indices. This paper presents a systematic analysis on local market power under uniform pricing scheme and provides determining approach of the level of price cap as mitigation measure of the strategic market power.

  • In this paper, we quantitatively evaluated the anxiety data from humans in an anxiety state. It has been reported that the electric signals of human can be correlated with their emotional state. We chose heart rate, respiration rate, temperature and skin conductance as the anxiety parameters. For experiment protocol, the subject was given exercising load to induce the anxiety state and the exercise was done using the FITRON Cycle Ergometer. We divided the data into three stages: rest period, exercise period, and recovery period. During evaluation, We counted the heart rate, slope of heart rate, temperature change, and the skin conductance.

  • According to careful study on the COLREGS, 1972, we can easily find out a main point that is to eliminate risk of collision at sea through exercising due regard to all danger of navigation and collision and to any special circumstances including the limitation of the vessels involved, or precaution which may be required by the ordinary practice of seamen. This paper, therefore, aims to clarify legal concept concerning the risk of collision so as to easier assimilate and understand by all mariner before being presented with a situation of danger in realty. After such a forethought and understanding the mariner will be in a position timely to implement the due regard or precaution to avoid collision by himself. For the purpose of good guidance, comprehensive legal practices of collision avoidance are adequately summarized by foreign and domestic cases.

운동부하가 움직임-호흡 결합에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Exercise Load on the Locomotor-Respiratory Coupling)

  • The nature of entrainment between the locomotor and the respiratory rhythm was investigated while normal human subjects were walked or running on a treadmill. The purpose of this study was to analyze the incidence and type of coordination between the locomotor and the respiratory rhythm during running at different work load. The experiments were carried out on 12 untrained volunteers exercising at 3 work loads (2 METs, 3 METs, 4 METs in randomized order). The gait cycle was measured by electromyography (EMG) signal of gastrocnemius firing and the respiratory cycle was measured by a thermometer. We found that the ratio between the locomotor and the respiratory rhythm existed and 2:1 ratio between the locomotor-respiratory coupling was dominant at 2 METs and 3 METs.

  • As above, it described Dr.Tanaka's Spiral Balance Theory and studied the theoretical background and the special meridian circulation system, diagnostics and treatments. Though the considered the rule of the tenseness of the body as muscle movement theory, it corresponds with tradtional meridians theory in oriental medicine. If we study and develop the traditional meridians circulaition system more, we can expect clinical development applying to any theories in the field of oriential medicine such as acupuncture therapy, moxa therapy and chiropractc therapy. etc, as well as tapaing therapy, electronic stimulation therapy and exercising therapy.

농촌 지역 퇴행성 관절염 노인을 대상으로 한 운동수행 의도 증진프로그램의 효과 (Effect of Program Promoting Intention to Exercise Performance Based Theory of Planned Behavior in the Elderly)

  • Purpose: This study is aimed at grasping the benefit/effect of program promoting intention to exercise performance based theory of planned behavior in the elderly who live in the rural areas with degenerative joint diseases (DJDs). Methods: There were 2 groups; 32 people in the experimental group and 24 in the control group, all above the age of 60. Program promoting intention to exercise performance was applied to the experimental group for 12 weeks. Results: Compared to the control group, the experimental group showed a significant the increase of attitude towards exercise, subjective norm, perceived behavior control, exercising intention, and exercise performance. Also, pain as a physical function, joint stiffness, ADLs, body flexibility, parallel, perceived health state as a psychological function, and life satisfaction were significantly improved. Conclusion: We expect that program promoting intention to exercise performance is used in nursing practice for the elderly with DJDs are needed to manage lifestyle.

  • The presence of transmission congestion may reduce the market size and split the bulk power system into smaller systems. Consequently, this can be a key factor to the increase in market price. This paper analyzes the effect of exercising local market power on the market price, and derives a range of indices which quantify the degree and incentive of local market power through statistical analysis in an electricity market with uniform pricing scheme. The applicability and effectiveness of the derived indices on competitive electricity markets are demonstrated on the Korea electricity market.

  • This study uses distributed parameter systems as the spatial discretization technique, modelling in lumped parameter systems, and applies fast WALSH transform and the Picard's iteration method to high order partial differential equations and matrix partial differential equations. This thesis presents a new algorithm which usefully exercises the optimal control in the distributed parameter systems. In exercising optimal control of distributed parameter systems, excellent consequences are found without using the existing decentralized control or hierarchical control method. This study will help apply to linear time-varying systems and non-linear systems. Further research on algorithm will be required to solve the problems of convergence in case of numerous applicable intervals.
