  • Since the 1990s, the domestic fashion industry has been changing rapidly and has become more competitive. Due to these circumstances, the roles of Shop masters were intensified and a training course to acquire a certificate of qualification as a Shop master was in great demand. The 1st Shop master certification exam took place in the year 2001. The purpose of this study was to research the formality of Shop master certificate training courses via e-learning, which is a hot topic in 21st century education, and to provide a development example. First, an analysis was made of the definition and basic characteristics needed of a Shop-master. Next, we noted the problems of former Shop master training facilities and their training process. Thirdly, we did a research on the definition of e-learning and the elements to embody the system. Based on the information obtained through this research, we provided a development example on Shop-master certificate training courses via e-learning that overcame the problems of courses that are currently provided.

  • Deep learning models show excellent performance in tasks such as image classification and object detection in the field of computer vision, and are used in various ways in actual industrial sites. Recently, research on improving robustness has been actively conducted, along with pointing out that this deep learning model is vulnerable to hostile examples. A hostile example is an image in which small noise is added to induce misclassification, and can pose a significant threat when applying a deep learning model to a real environment. In this paper, we tried to confirm the robustness of the edge-learning classification model and the performance of the adversarial example detection model using it for adversarial examples of various algorithms. As a result of robustness experiments, the basic classification model showed about 17% accuracy for the FGSM algorithm, while the edge-learning models maintained accuracy in the 60-70% range, and the basic classification model showed accuracy in the 0-1% range for the PGD/DeepFool/CW algorithm, while the edge-learning models maintained accuracy in 80-90%. As a result of the adversarial example detection experiment, a high detection rate of 91-95% was confirmed for all algorithms of FGSM/PGD/DeepFool/CW. By presenting the possibility of defending against various hostile algorithms through this study, it is expected to improve the safety and reliability of deep learning models in various industries using computer vision.

  • In this paper, we present a simple and fast supervised learning framework based on model predictive control so as to learn motion controllers for a physic-based character to track given example motions. The proposed framework is composed of two components: training data generation and offline learning. Given an example motion, the former component stochastically controls the character motion with an optimal controller while repeatedly updating the controller for tracking the example motion through model predictive control over a time window from the current state of the character to a near future state. The repeated update of the optimal controller and the stochastic control make it possible to effectively explore various states that the character may have while mimicking the example motion and collect useful training data for supervised learning. Once all the training data is generated, the latter component normalizes the data to remove the disparity for magnitude and units inherent in the data and trains an artificial neural network with a simple architecture for a controller. The experimental results for walking and running motions demonstrate how effectively and fast the proposed framework produces physics-based motion controllers.

  • Learning by examples has proven to be an efficient method in mastering various subjects including programming languages. This study hypothesizes that the number of examples and the type of examples are two significant dimensions that influence the performance of learning programming languages by examples. A set of experiments was conducted to investigate the impacts of the two dimensions in the domain of JAVA programming. The results showed that providing two examples is more effective than providing only one example even though significantly more explanations are attached to the single example. Among the 'two-example' groups, the group that was given functionally similar examples performed better than those with functionally dissimilar examples. Explanations for these results are provided in this paper based on the behavioral patterns of individual subjects in terms of time and frequency. This paper concludes with the implications of the study results for the development of effective tutoring systems for programming languages.

  • We have been designing human interactions for some learning support system or education system. The design is based on a symbol grounding model. The model is applicable to many learning domains using virtual reality technology. The design policy is simple and compact. In order to realize the policy we use/reuse some devices from the viewpoint of virtual reality. This paper introduces basic ideas and explains several example cases based on the idea.

  • A total of 2,325 schools including all of the middle and high school have operated variation type since government announced the "Variation Type classroom System Promotion Plan" in May 2009. New education policy, free learning semester of middle school, was introduced after current government took office, followed by extended application of educational policy. Korean students have a low level of happiness and interest in the school due to admissions intensive competition and the investment memorize education and cramming education. Therefore, in consideration of youth development stage, free learning semester system introduction commitment was announced in November 2012, and free learning semester was operated by way of showing an example in 2013, and then expansion implementation plan of 2015 was established, because free learning semester introduction in middle school stage is increasing. This study considers concept and operation method to free learning semester of middle school which are newly introduced, based on the policy documents of Ministry of Education. Also, through the example of Japanese schools, this analyses creativity, personality, social skills, and healthy corresponding to a free learning semester curriculum of middle school, and present method to apply for Korea.

  • A mid-story isolation system was proposed for seismic response reduction of high-rise buildings and presented good control performance. Control performance of a mid-story isolation system was enhanced by introducing semi-active control devices into isolation systems. Seismic response reduction capacity of a semi-active mid-story isolation system mainly depends on effect of control algorithm. AI(Artificial Intelligence)-based control algorithm was developed for control of a semi-active mid-story isolation system in this study. For this research, an practical structure of Shiodome Sumitomo building in Japan which has a mid-story isolation system was used as an example structure. An MR (magnetorheological) damper was used to make a semi-active mid-story isolation system in example model. In numerical simulation, seismic response prediction model was generated by one of supervised learning model, i.e. an RNN (Recurrent Neural Network). Deep Q-network (DQN) out of reinforcement learning algorithms was employed to develop control algorithm The numerical simulation results presented that the DQN algorithm can effectively control a semi-active mid-story isolation system resulting in successful reduction of seismic responses.

  • Artificial intelligence (AI), which includes machine learning and deep learning has been introduced to nursing care in recent years. The present study reviews the following topics: the concepts of AI, machine learning, and deep learning; examples of AI-based nursing research; the necessity of education on AI in nursing schools; and the areas of nursing care where AI is useful. AI refers to an intelligent system consisting not of a human, but a machine. Machine learning refers to computers' ability to learn without being explicitly programmed. Deep learning is a subset of machine learning that uses artificial neural networks consisting of multiple hidden layers. It is suggested that the educational curriculum should include big data, the concept of AI, algorithms and models of machine learning, the model of deep learning, and coding practice. The standard curriculum should be organized by the nursing society. An example of an area of nursing care where AI is useful is prenatal nursing interventions based on pregnant women's nursing records and AI-based prediction of the risk of delivery according to pregnant women's age. Nurses should be able to cope with the rapidly developing environment of nursing care influenced by AI and should understand how to apply AI in their field. It is time for Korean nurses to take steps to become familiar with AI in their research, education, and practice.
