Research on the Practice of Coming-of-Age Ceremonies as a Family Event (가족행사로서의 성년례 정착을 위한 방안연구 - 어머니들의 성년례에 대한 인식과 실천사례를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide fundamental information of the practice of coming-of-age ceremonies as a family event. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, research questionnaires were developed, and 321 mothers residing in Seoul, South Korea were selected as the research subjects. The study was conducted from April 15th, 2010 to June 25th, 2010. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS17 computer programs. The conclusions are as follows. 1. In the future, coming-of-age ceremonies will be necessary in family event. 2. Education for mothers (specifically for mothers under the age of 30) opposed to coming-of-age ceremonies is necessary. 3. The contents for the education of coming-of-age ceremonies must include ceremony processes, alcohol consumption etiquette, and sex education. 4. Coming-of-age ceremonies, as family events, will be desirable to have on the 19th birthday. 5. Education of coming-of age ceremonies must be done in schools or social educational institutions. The Healthy Family Support Center will especially be able to play a central role. 6. Education of coming-of-age ceremonies is necessary even from the popular media.

A Study of Consumer Behavior on Online Shopping Discount Event - Cyber hot Days - in Korea (국내 온라인 쇼핑 할인 행사 '사이버 핫데이즈' 에서의 소비자 행동 연구)

  • US Retailers consider two major holiday shopping days as their most profitable-the Friday after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and the Monday after Thanksgiving, CyberMonday. Online shopping discount events have boosted up the shopping markets resulting in pumping up National economy. For such reasons, Korea also has launched online shopping discount event, which is called 'Cyber hot days'. The primary purpose of this paper is to understand consumer behavior on Cyber hot days and suggest how retailers can harness those consumer behaviors and how government agency can support both retailers and consumers to boost up shopping markets. The results of empirical test shows that economic value, emotional value, and product variety were found to be significantly related to consumers' attitude on Cyber hot days, but convenience value, social value, and product uniqueness were not. Consumers' attitude was also found to be significantly related to the repurchase intention. It implicates that price, enjoyment, and product variety are important aspects to Korean consumers when they purchase during online shopping discount event.

  • Despite the innovative technological advances in the aviation industry, hard landing events that occur during aircraft landing account for 13% of all accidents. Hard landing when landing an aircraft affects normal operation by generating a large load on the landing gear and the fuselage. In order to identify these risk factors, the airline monitors the high vertical acceleration event, a precursor to hard landing, through QAR (Quick Access Recorder) flight data analysis, and prepares and implements mitigation measures. In this study, it is intended to contribute to safety management based on flight data analysis that identifies the characteristics of high vertical acceleration G event data that can cause such hard landing and detailed parameters of precursor signs, and to identify the causal relationship of the occurrence of the event by applying statistical analysis methods such as variance analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis models to identify the characteristics of the event occurrence and eliminate the cause in advance.

  • GDMO Agent platform based on TMN modeling operating status of network elements and resources to Managed Object as GDMO standard and controled by telecommunication management function requests of manager supporting status of resources. To supporting basic function of these GDMO agent, 13 kinds of system management function has to be implemented. Event-Report-Management function related to all system management functions. The reason that rapidly reporting has been performed as status of resources to manager by continuously communication with real resources. In this paper, a number of approach has been analyzed to communication with real resources for effective event-report management function and we proposed new real resource monitoring schemes of RRMC(Real Resource Message Coordinator) architecture for improving these resulted problem.

  • The OSI fault management is composed of specific management functions such as the Alarm Reporting Function, Event Report Management Function, and Log Control Function. The fault management is to notify and manage the events and the alarm data which are transfered as the information of the fault management may be managed effectively. And it is necessary to design the model of the fault management properly by using these functions for the study of network management activities. Therefore, in this paper, the integrated management model of the Event Report Management and Log Control Function based on Alarm Reporting Function is investigated. Also, the system component of alarm collector which is added in the manager system for the effective fault management is studied and proposed.

  • The automated material handling systems today are playing ever more important roles in semiconductor/LCD fabrication facilities. Recently they became more flexible, intelligent, and speedy than in the past. The facilities have been fully automated because the size and weight of the unit loads used in the facilities were being increased beyond the limits that a human operator can handle. This research develops an efficient procedure to streamline the delivery of unit loads by the automated material handling system (AMHS). For this task, the research employs the event scheduling theory that has been successfully used in the both academia and industry. The developed procedure was applied to an actual LCD fabrication facility and improved the performance of an existing material handling system.

A Study of Improving Safety Management in Taekwondo Events (태권도 이벤트의 안전관리 개선 방안)

  • Taekwondo has developed into a global sport that sports 80 million people from 208 countries around the world. Korea is the mother country of Taekwondo, and there are many international Taekwondo events in Korea. As important as the image of Taekwondo contents, it will be operation plan and management for event facilities. In particular, safety management for participants is more important than anything else. In case of Taekwondo where there are many national events, there are many foreign visitors, so safety management in facilities and running programs needs to be important. In this study, we conducted in - depth interviews with experts with a career in Taekwondo events. Based on the in - depth interviews, we analyzed the safety management problems of the international Taekwondo events and suggested improvement directions to overcome them. Based on the results of these researches, the improvement direction of Taekwondo event safety management proposed in the first category is a demand for improving safety and injury related system construction. The second category, the safety improvement of visitors, is to secure professional manpower and secure budgets. Also, what is important in the third category, facility safety area, is the proposal to introduce facility safety certification system.

  • According to the occurrence of many security incidents, the SOC(Security Operation Center) and SIEM(Security Information & Event Management) are concentrated recently. The various studies and commercial products of the information security industry are being released. As reflected in this situation, NIST in the US is publishing and revising the document about the Cybersecurity Framework. In this study, we investigated the NIST's Cyberseurity Framework, trends in SOC and SIEM security technologies and solutions, and also introduce the open source Apache Metron of a real-time Bigdata security tool.

SEVERE ACCIDENT ISSUES RAISED BY THE FUKUSHIMA ACCIDENT AND IMPROVEMENTS SUGGESTED

  • This paper revisits the Fukushima accident to draw lessons in the aspect of nuclear safety considering the fact that the Fukushima accident resulted in core damage for three nuclear power plants simultaneously and that there is a high possibility of a failure of the integrity of reactor vessel and primary containment vessel. A brief review on the accident progression at Fukushima nuclear power plants is discussed to highlight the nature and characteristic of the event. As the severe accident management measures at the Fukushima Daiich nuclear power plants seem to be not fully effective, limitations of current severe accident management strategy are discussed to identify the areas for the potential improvements including core cooling strategy, containment venting, hydrogen control, depressurization of primary system, and proper indication of event progression. The gap between the Fukushima accident event progression and current understanding of severe accident phenomenology including the core damage, reactor vessel failure, containment failure, and hydrogen explosion are discussed. Adequacy of current safety goals are also discussed in view of the socio-economic impact of the Fukushima accident. As a conclusion, it is suggested that an investigation on a coherent integrated safety principle for the severe accident and development of innovative mitigation features is necessary for robust and resilient nuclear power system.

Development of esXML for Energy Information Exchange (에너지 정보 교환을 위한 esXML(energy system eXtensible Markup Language) 개발)

  • In future digital environment, energy management system will meet the real-time capability to process the emergency events, unexpected blackouts or over-load, and the high speed to provide the consumer service events such as remote meter reading. According to, energy management system needs the simple and independent information exchange model which can transmit various energy event information in real-time. In this paper, we developed an esXML that was divided into two modelings, device modeling and event modeling, based on XML using object-oriented modeling. As a result of experiments, the system was able to exchange information independently and efficiently.
