This paper present a generalized observer and its existence condition. The observer can be estimated the states of system even if an external noise is added to the system's output. From a numerical example, we show that the proposed observer does not affected by a step or a sinusoidal noise.

Because of the flat slope of the magnetic characteristic curves at high saturation, the transformer inrush current peakes may assume an extreme magnitude. Even though such is rarely any danger to the transformer itself, the currents can cause serious problems in associated apparatus. This paper has analyzed various limiting factors of excess inrush currents, and then has suggested how to determine the frequency of encountering the inrush current peaks higher than an arbitrarily chosen value by deriving the probability equations of inrush current occurrence.

This paper deals with turning experiments of aluminium alloy using a single crystal diamond with round cutting edge. A face cutting was conducted using a special precision machine to study the characteristic phenomena in heavy cutting of aluminium alloy. In many cases, one of the most important matter on the surface integrity is about a damaged layer remaining just under the surface after machining. A machined surface roughness can be improved at a small geometrical surface roughness under special cutting conditions, even if a steady vibration exists between a tool and a workpiece.

Nowadays, the color of the interior effects people's thought, behavior and even the psychological state and this led to the presence of emotional design. The color is perceived as the main image of the apartment, and if applied from the early state of designing it can create a more rational and emotional interior. The purpose of this study is to understand the emotional factors by color taste characteristic and the application to living space. The living space of apartments will express people's emotion more aggressively and variously in the coming years.

More and more applications or demands for machine parts etc are expected for AISI 440C (hereinafter referred to as "440C") Stainless Steel because of its characteristic features, i.e. high-strength as well as high-corrosion resistance. This research has enabled us to obtain sintered products with good quality even under a wide range of temperature by utilizing the pinning effect of NbC, improving the relevant sintering feature of 440C Stainless Steel in the MIM method.

Some s-triazine herbicides, namely simazine, atrazine, and propazine present as trace components in a complex mixture were analyzed by GC/MS and GC/MS/MS methods. Even though monitoring the molecular ions was the best in terms of sensitivity, adequate analysis could not be done when interfering species were present. When doubly charged ions which appeared at characteristic m/z values were monitored, chromatograms were rather free from interference. More importantly, selected reaction monitoring was found to provide a selective means of detection with general applicability.

The turbo code, an error correction code, needs a long decoding time since the same decoding process must be repeated several times in order to obtain a good BER performance. Thus, parallel processing may be used to reduce the decoding time, in which case there may be a memory contention that requires additional buffers. The QPP interleaving has been proposed to avoid such case, but there is still a possibility of memory contention when a decoder is constructed using the so-called double flow technique. In this paper, we propose an even-odd cross mapping technique to avoid memory conflicts even in decoding using the double-flow technique. This method uses the address generation characteristic of the QPP interleaving and can be used to implement the interleaving circuit between the decoding blocks and the LLR memory blocks. When the decoder implemented by applying the double flow and the proposed methods is compared with the decoder by the conventional MDF techniques, the decoding time is reduced by up to 32% with the total area increase by 8%.
