디지털 디바이스를 이용한 이상운동증에서의 운동손상 정량화 방법 (A Digital Device-Based Method for Quantifying Motor Impairment in Movement Disorders)

  • Accurate diagnosis of movement disorders is important for providing right patient care at right time. In general, assessment of motor impairment relies on clinical ratings conducted by experienced clinicians. However, this may introduce subjective opinions into scoring the severity of motor impairment. Digital devices such as table PC and smart band with accelerometer can be used for more accurate and objective assessment and possibly helpful for clinicians to make right decision of patient's states. In this study, we introduce quantification algorithms of motor impairment which uses the digital data acquired during four clinical motor tests (Line drawing, Spiral drawing, Nose to finger and Hand flip tests). The step by step procedure of quantifying metrics (Tremor Frequency, Tremor Magnitude, Error Distance, Time, Velocity, Count and Period) are provided with flowchart. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is presented with the result from simulated data (normal, normal with tremor and slowness, poor with tremor, poor with tremor and slowness).

Novel nomogram-based integrated gonadotropin therapy individualization in in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection: A modeling approach

  • Objective: This study aimed to characterize a validated model for predicting oocyte retrieval in controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) and to construct model-based nomograms for assistance in clinical decision-making regarding the gonadotropin protocol and dose. Methods: This observational, retrospective, cohort study included 636 women with primary unexplained infertility and a normal menstrual cycle who were attempting assisted reproductive therapy for the first time. The enrolled women were split into an index group (n=497) for model building and a validation group (n=139). The primary outcome was absolute oocyte count. The dose-response relationship was tested using modified Poisson, negative binomial, hybrid Poisson-Emax, and linear models. The validation group was similarly analyzed, and its results were compared to that of the index group. Results: The Poisson model with the log-link function demonstrated superior predictive performance and precision (Akaike information criterion, 2,704; λ=8.27; relative standard error (λ)=2.02%). The covariate analysis included women's age (p<0.001), antral follicle count (p<0.001), basal follicle-stimulating hormone level (p<0.001), gonadotropin dose (p=0.042), and protocol type (p=0.002 and p<0.001 for short and antagonist protocols, respectively). The estimates from 500 bootstrap samples were close to those of the original model. The validation group showed model assessment metrics comparable to the index model. Based on the fitted model, a static nomogram was built to improve visualization. In addition, a dynamic electronic tool was created for convenience of use. Conclusion: Based on our validated model, nomograms were constructed to help clinicians individualize the stimulation protocol and gonadotropin doses in COS cycles.

UX-기반 메타버스 윤리적 AI 학습 모델 연구 (A Study on the UX-based Ethical AI-Learning Model for Metaverse)

  • 본 논문은 메타버스 환경에서 대화형 AI가 어떻게 윤리적으로 진화될 수 있을지에 대한 솔루션을 UX(사용자경험) 관점으로 찾아보는 기술 전략 연구이다. 대화형 AI는 사람들과의 직접적인 인터랙션을 통해 사람들의 온·오프라인의 결정요소에 영향을 미치기 때문에 메타버스 AI 윤리가 필수적으로 반영되어야 한다. 대화형 AI의 머신러닝의 과정에는 사용자 개인의 경험데이터와 함께 문화적 코드들이 포함되고 고려되어야 사용자경험의 오류값을 줄일 수 있다. 이를 통해 초 개인화된 메타버스의 서비스가 사회적 가치를 고려하며 윤리적으로 진화할 수 있다. 위와 같은 가설을 기반으로 본 논문의 연구 결과로 메타버스 서비스 환경에서 컨택스트 기반의 대화형 AI를 위한 머신러닝(ML)과정에 사용자의 경험데이터를 추가한 선행적 관점의 개념 모델을 개발, 제안하였다.

  • 코로나바이러스 감염은, 21세기, 아무리 현대 의학이 발전하였지만, 특별한 약이나 치료제가 없는 매우 난감한 상황이다. 그러므로, 세계 여러 나라에서, 코로나바이러스를 일차적으로 간단하게 파악하기 위해서, 유동 인구가 많이 이동하는 기차역, 버스터미널, 공항 터미널에는 발열 측정용 적외선 카메라가 설치하고, 이른 시간에 비접촉식 체온계를 사용해서, 37.5 도 이상의 고열로 분류되면, 코로나바이러스 감염 의심 환자로 1차 판단하고 있다. 그러나, 발열 측정 적외선 체온계는 체온측정 신뢰도가 75- 80% 정도이므로, 신뢰도를 높이는 방안을 간구해야만 된다는 지적이 많이 나오고 있다. 본 논문에서는, 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서, 적외선 체온측정 신뢰도를 향상하게 시키기 위해서, 체온 조건, 기침 조건, 혈압 조건, 당뇨 조건, 산소포화도 조건, 맥진 조건, 설진 조건을 이용해서, 기계학습 기반 및 fuzzy 추론 기반, 코로나바이러스 감염조건 위험도를 예측하는 알고리즘을 제안하고 모의실험 하였다.

Machine Learning Methods to Predict Vehicle Fuel Consumption

  • 본 연구에서는 주행 차량의 실시간 연료소모량을 예측할 수 있는 머신러닝 기법을 제안하고 그 특성을 분석하였다. 머신러닝 학습을 위해 실도로 주행을 실시하여 주행 속도, 가속도, 도로 구배와 함께 연료소모량을 측정하였다. 특성 데이터로 속도, 가속도, 도로구배를, 타깃으로 연료소모량을 지정하여 다양한 머신러닝 모델을 학습시켰다. 회귀법에 해당하는 K-최근접이웃회귀 및 선형회귀와 함께, 분류법에 해당하는 K-최근접이웃분류, 로지스틱회귀, 결정트리, 랜덤포레스트, 그래디언부스팅을 사용하였다. 실시간 연료소모량에 대한 예측 정확도는 0.5 ~ 0.6 수준으로 전반적으로 낮았고, 회귀법의 경우 분류법보다 정확도가 떨어졌다. 총연료소모량에 대한 예측 오차는 0.2 ~ 2.0% 수준으로 상당히 정확했고, 분류법보다 회귀법의 오차가 더 낮았다. 이는 예측 정확도의 기준으로 결정계수(R2)를 사용했기 때문인데, 이 값이 작을수록 타깃의 평균 부근에 예측치가 좁게 분포하기 때문이다. 따라서 실시간 연료소모량 예측에는 분류법이, 총연료소모량 예측에는 회귀법이 적합하다고 할 수 있다.

High Noise Density Median Filter Method for Denoising Cancer Images Using Image Processing Techniques

  • Noise is a serious issue. While sending images via electronic communication, Impulse noise, which is created by unsteady voltage, is one of the most common noises in digital communication. During the acquisition process, pictures were collected. It is possible to obtain accurate diagnosis images by removing these noises without affecting the edges and tiny features. The New Average High Noise Density Median Filter. (HNDMF) was proposed in this paper, and it operates in two steps for each pixel. Filter can decide whether the test pixels is degraded by SPN. In the first stage, a detector identifies corrupted pixels, in the second stage, an algorithm replaced by noise free processed pixel, the New average suggested Filter produced for this window. The paper examines the performance of Gaussian Filter (GF), Adaptive Median Filter (AMF), and PHDNF. In this paper the comparison of known image denoising is discussed and a new decision based weighted median filter used to remove impulse noise. Using Mean Square Error (MSE), Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR), and Structure Similarity Index Method (SSIM) metrics, the paper examines the performance of Gaussian Filter (GF), Adaptive Median Filter (AMF), and PHDNF. A detailed simulation process is performed to ensure the betterment of the presented model on the Mini-MIAS dataset. The obtained experimental values stated that the HNDMF model has reached to a better performance with the maximum picture quality. images affected by various amounts of pretend salt and paper noise, as well as speckle noise, are calculated and provided as experimental results. According to quality metrics, the HNDMF Method produces a superior result than the existing filter method. Accurately detect and replace salt and pepper noise pixel values with mean and median value in images. The proposed method is to improve the median filter with a significant change.

간스캔의 ROC분석에 의한 진단적 평가 (ROC Analysis of Diagnostie Performance in Liver Scan)

  • To evaluate diagnostic accuracy of liver scintigraphy we analysed liver scans of 143 normal and 258 patients with various liver diseases. Three ROC curves for SOL, liver cirrhosis and diffuse liver disease were fitted using rating methods and areas under the ROC curves and their standard errors were calculated by the trapezoidal rule and the variance of the Wilcoxon statistic suggested by McNeil. We compared these results with that of National Institute of Radiological Science in Japan. 1) The sensitivity of liver scintigraphy was 74.2% in SOL, 71.8% in liver cirrhosis and 34.0% in diffuse liver disease. The specificity was 96.0% in SOL, 94.2% in liver cirrhosis and 87.6% in diffuse liver diasease. 2) ROC curves of SOL and liver cirrhosis approached the upper left-hand corner closer than that of diffuse liver disease. Area (${\pm}$ standard error). under the ROC curve was $0.868{\pm}0.024$ in SOL and $0.867{\pm}0.028$ in liver cirrhosis. These were significantly higher than $0.658{\pm}0.043$ in diffuse liver disease. 3) There was no interobserver difference in terms of ROC curves. But low sensitivty and high specificity of authors' SOL diagnosis suggested we used more strict decision threshold.

A Novel Grasshopper Optimization-based Particle Swarm Algorithm for Effective Spectrum Sensing in Cognitive Radio Networks

  • In CRNs, SS is of utmost significance. Every CR user generates a sensing report during the training phase beneath various circumstances, and depending on a collective process, either communicates or remains silent. In the training stage, the fusion centre combines the local judgments made by CR users by a majority vote, and then returns a final conclusion to every CR user. Enough data regarding the environment, including the activity of PU and every CR's response to that activity, is acquired and sensing classes are created during the training stage. Every CR user compares their most recent sensing report to the previous sensing classes during the classification stage, and distance vectors are generated. The posterior probability of every sensing class is derived on the basis of quantitative data, and the sensing report is then classified as either signifying the presence or absence of PU. The ISVM technique is utilized to compute the quantitative variables necessary to compute the posterior probability. Here, the iterations of SVM are tuned by novel GO-PSA by combining GOA and PSO. Novel GO-PSA is developed since it overcomes the problem of computational complexity, returns minimum error, and also saves time when compared with various state-of-the-art algorithms. The dependability of every CR user is taken into consideration as these local choices are then integrated at the fusion centre utilizing an innovative decision combination technique. Depending on the collective choice, the CR users will then communicate or remain silent.

도시개발 영역 고정밀 공간지반모델의 지진 시 액상화 재해 및 지반 취약성 평가 활용 (Application into Assessment of Liquefaction Hazard and Geotechnical Vulnerability During Earthquake with High-Precision Spatial-Ground Model for a City Development Area)

  • This study proposes a methodology for assessing seismic liquefaction hazard by implementing high-resolution three-dimensional (3D) ground models with high-density/high-precision site investigation data acquired in an area of interest, which would be linked to geotechnical numerical analysis tools. It is possible to estimate the vulnerability of earthquake-induced geotechnical phenomena (ground motion amplification, liquefaction, landslide, etc.) and their triggering complex disasters across an area for urban development with several stages of high-density datasets. In this study, the spatial-ground models for city development were built with a 3D high-precision grid of 5 m × 5 m × 1 m by applying geostatistic methods. Finally, after comparing each prediction error, the geotechnical model from the Gaussian sequential simulation is selected to assess earthquake-induced geotechnical hazards. In particular, with seven independent input earthquake motions, liquefaction analysis with finite element analyses and hazard mappings with LPI and LSN are performed reliably based on the spatial geotechnical models in the study area. Furthermore, various phenomena and parameters, including settlement in the city planning area, are assessed in terms of geotechnical vulnerability also based on the high-resolution spatial-ground modeling. This case study on the high-precision 3D ground model-based zonations in the area of interest verifies the usefulness in assessing spatially earthquake-induced hazards and geotechnical vulnerability and their decision-making support.

MANET에서의 네트워크 수명을 연장시키는 위치기반 라우팅 기법 (A Geographic Routing Algorithm to Prolong the Lifetime of MANET)

  • 동적으로 연결되어 자치적인 네트워크 망을 형성하는 에드 혹 네트워크에서는 이동 단말들이 협업하여 기지국의 도움 없이 망을 형성하며 제한된 에너지 자원을 가지고 있다. 네트워크를 구성하는 단말기들은 라우터 역할을 수행하므로 잦은 데이터 전송 등에 의해 에너지가 고갈되면 라우터 수가 감소하게 되어, 전체 네트워크는 통신 장애를 초래하게 되며 네트워크 수명이 단축될 수 있다. 그러므로, 네트워크 수명을 최대화 하기위해 이동 호스트들의 균형있는 에너지의 소모에 관한 문제는 라우팅에 있어서 중요한 문제가 된다. 본 논문에서는 지역 정보를 이용하여 라우팅 경로를 형성하고 경로 탐색에 대한 오버헤드를 줄일 수 있는 위치 기반 지역적 라우팅 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 전송 에너지, 링크 에러율, 각 노드의 잔여 에너지 등을 고려하여 다음 이웃 노드를 선택하여 경로를 형성하므로 노드들 간의 균형된 에너지 소비를 가능하게 하여 네트워크 수명을 연장시킬 수 있는 방법이다.
