The microbial populations of exportable and domestic white ginseng powders, which have been problems in quality control, were higher than the legally-permissive level of microorganisms as $5{\times}10^{4}$/g in total bacteria and as negative coliforms. Various microorganisms contaminated in the sample were effectively decontaminated by gamma irradiation at below 10 kGy as well as ethylene oxide (EO) fumigation. The radiosens.tivity of microorganisms was the highest in coliforms, followed by molds and aerobic bacteria ($D_{10}$: 1.25 kGy). The good microbiological quality could be retained in white ginseng powders for more than 7 months of storage at $30{\pm}2^{\circ}C$ irrespective of relative humidities if products are prepared with a lower moisture content below 10% and treated by gamma irradiation at 5 to 10 kGy in an airtight packaging.

The addition of a carbanion to ${\yen}{\acute{a}}{\yen}{\hat{a}}$-unsaturated carbonyl compounds is of importance in the C-C bond formation reactions for modern pharmaceuticals and organic synthesis. Recently, heterogeneous asymmetric catalysis became more attractive area of research because of the easy recovery and separation of the catalyst from the reaction system. Most of synthetic methods for heterogeneous catalysts were grafting or immobilization of homogeneous catalyst onto the solid supports. Trans-1,2-Diaminocyclohexane(DACH) and L-proline ligands have been enormously used as chiral ligands in several catalytic transformation under homogenous conditions. Our group prepared l-proline functionalized mesoporous silica was synthesized under acidic condition using a poly(ethylene oxide)-poly(propylene oxide)-poly(ethylene oxide) triblock copolymer template (EO20PO70EO20, Pluronic P-123, BASF). Furthermore, we successfully directly synthesized trans-1,2 diaminocyclohexane functionalized mesoporous silica by using microwave method. The direct functionalization of chiral ligand into the framework of mesoporous materials is expected to be useful for the heterogeneous asymmetric catalysis. So, we adopt the direct synthesis of chiral ligand functionalized mesoporous silica by using thermal and microwave irradiation. Then, chiral ligand functionalized mesoporous silicas were applied to enantioselective asymmetric catalytic reactions.

This study is to investigate the effects of Chinemys reevesii (CR) on allergic inflammation mechanism related chronic dermatitis. To investigate the effects of CR, we study inhibitory effect of CR on the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines released from RAW 264.7 cell stimulated with lipopolysaccaride (LPS), and EoL-1, THP-1, Jutkat cell stimulated with Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (DP), and LPS induced acute inflammatory BALB/c mouse model. CR reduced the levels of IL-$1{\beta}$ released from RAW 264.7 cell stimulated with LPS at 20 ug/ml, 10 ug/ml concentration. CR significantly reduced the levels of MCP-1 released from EoL-1 cell, IL-6 from THP-1 cell, and IL-4, IL-5, TNF-${\alpha}$ from Jutkat cell stimulated with DP at all the concentration. CR significantly reduced the levels of TNF-${\alpha}$, IL-6, IL-$1{\beta}$, in LPS induced inflammatory BALB/c mouse model, in a dose-dependent manner. These results suggested that CR has suppressive effects on pro-inflammatory cytokines in various inflammation related cell lines through the regulation of immune system. CR could be a therapeutic agent for treatment of chronic inflammatory dermatitis in the future.

Five specimens (839 - 1280 mm TL, Total length) of the dusky shark Carcharhinus obscurus, belonging to the family Carcharhinidae, were collected from the waters off Jejudo Island, Sinan, Namhae, Busan and Gangneung, Korea, during 2010-2019. Carcharhinus obscurus was similar to Carcharhinus brachyurus but was distinguished by the interdorsal ridge (present in C. obscurus vs. absent in C. brachyurus) and the shape of upper jaw teeth (broad in C. obscurus vs. narrow in C. brachyurus). In addition, 479 base-pair sequences in the mitochondrial DNA cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) of our two specimens corresponded to those of C. obscurus (genetic distance, 0.000-0.003), but clearly distinguished from those of the Korean C. brachyurus (genetic distance, 0.03). We adopted the Korean name "Heuk-sang-eo" for Carcharhinus obscurus, after Kim and Ryu (2017).

We studied the nematic liquid crystal (NLC) alignment capability by the Ultraviolet (UV) alignment method on a a-C:H thin -film , and investigated electro-optical performances of the UV aligned twisted nematic (TN)- liquid crystal display (LCD) with the UV exposure on a-C:H thin film surface. A good LC alignment by UV irradiation on a a-C:H thin -film surface was achieved. Monodomain alignment of the UV aligned TN-LCD can be observed. The good electro-optical (EO)characteristics of the UV aligned TN-LCD was observed with oblique UV exposure on the a-C:H thin film surface for 1min.

This paper presents a system level architecture evaluation technique that leverages transaction level modeling but also significantly extends it to the realm of system level performance evaluation. A major issue lies with the modeling effort. To reduce the modeling effort the proposed technique develops the concept of worst case scenarios. Since the memory controller is often found to be an important component that critically affects the system performance and thus needs optimization, the paper further addresses how to evaluate and optimize the memory controllers, focusing on the test environment and the methodology. The paper also presents an industrial case study using a real state-of-the-art design. In the case study, it is reported that the proposed technique has helped successfully find the performance bottleneck and provide appropriate feedback on time.

The Zygomatic arch is structurally protruded and is easily fractured. The classic management of zygomatic arch fracture has been mentioned the Keen, Lothrop, Dingman and Ailing and threaded K-wire. All of the above methods have advantages and disadvantages. To minimize the disadvantages, we performed threaded K-wire for the first time using C-arm image intensifier. The subjects were 16 patients with Knight North group II (Zygomatic arch fracture). Among them the C-arm was used in 12 patients and the operator used sensitivity general method in 4 patients and confirmed the operation by mobile X-ray equipment. In conclusion, both groups were satisfied surgically and cosmetically. Using the C-arm, actual image at the time operation was clear and satisfied, the surrounding tissue damage was minimized and at was more accurately completed. The operation time was shortened by 30 to 60 minutes proving it to be an efficient method. We suggest though that further studies be needed to evaluate the radiation effect on these patients.

A parameterized FFT/IFFT core generator (PFFT_CoreGen) is designed, which can be used as an essential IP (Intellectual Property) in various OFDM modem designs. The PFFT_CoreGen generates Verilog-HDL models of FFT cores in the range of 64 ${\sim}$ 2048-point. To optimize the performance of the generated FFT cores, the PFFT_CoreGen can select the word-length of input data, internal data and twiddle factors in the range of 8-b ${\sim}$ 24-b. Some design techniques for low-power design are considered from algorithm level to circuit level.

In this paper, a present condition with gas-in-oil diagnosis which used to condition analysis for oil insulated transformer is investigated and reason why hydrogen used to basic diagnosis for the transformer is described. This paper gives an overview of background knowledge that should to consider as moisture detecting of oil immersed paper and how could we approach to life expectancy of oil insulated transformer through detecting furfural compound.
