전통적 환경과 빅데이터 환경의 데이터 자원 관리 비교 연구 (A Study on Data Resource Management Comparing Big Data Environments with Traditional Environments)

  • 전통적인 환경에서 데이터 생명주기는 데이터-정보-지식-지혜 전환과정으로 요약된다. 반면에 빅데이터 환경에서 데이터 생명주기는 데이터-통찰-실행 전환과정으로 요약된다. 이러한 전환과정의 차이점은 데이터 생명주기를 지원하는 데이터 자원 관리에도 변화를 요구한다. 본 논문에서는 전통적인 데이터 자원 관리와 비교하여 빅데이터 환경을 위한 데이터 자원 관리를 연구한다. 특히 빅데이터 자원관리를 위한 주요 구성요소를 제안한다.

Uniaxial Compressive Strength of Rock under Non-atmospheric Environments

  • In order to investigate the influence of surrounding environment on strength of rock, the uniaxial compression test under non-atmospheric environments was conducted on Kumamoto andesite. The environments used in this study are water vapor, organic vapor environments as methanol, ethanol and acetone and inorganic gas environments as oxygen, nitrogen and argon. From the experimental results, it is clarified that water is the most effective agent which promotes stress corrosion of rock. Furthermore, the strength of rock increases with decreasing water vapor pressure. From the relation between uniaxial compressive strength and water vapor pressure, the stress corrosion index of Kumamoto andesite is estimated 24.

  • Risk analysis is time-consuming and expensive process〔1〕〔6〕. Automated risk analysis tools have been widely used in industry and government to support decision making process and reduce cost. However, difficulties in materializing impact of threats and fast-changing network environments make analysis process more complicated and less trusted since impacts are relative in network environments. HAWK system is developed to improve the accuracy of analysis result in network-oriented environment. It provides user-friendly environments and considers network environments as primary assets.

  • Considerations for user-centric environments are regarded as essential for the successful deployment of convergence services in BcN. Event driven service (EDS) is regarded as a typical convergence service converging different functions of multiple service providers to support user-centric environments. This paper first describes the deployment model and service scenario of EDS, a convergence service for user-centric environments in BcN. The user-centric environments stimulates the unified identifier management, namely unified identification (U-ID), to enable users to be provided convergence services without awareness of multiple providers. Then the designed structure and implementation results are given.

베어링 합금재에 대한 캐비테이션 침식 거동에 미치는 윤활제 환경의 영향 (Influence of Lubricating Oil Environments on Behavior of Cavitation Erosion for Alloy Metals of Bearing)

  • Recently, due to the erosion damage that were generated increasingly at alloy metals of slide bearing by cavity of lubricating oil with tendency of high speed and high output of reciprocating engine, there is a need to study the process on the formation of cavitation erosion, and the characteristic of cavitation erosion at lubricating oil environments under various condition for marine ship. Therefore, the apparatus of cavitation erosion experiment used 20 KHz, $24 \mu m$ piezoelectric vibrator. The main results obtained through this test method are as follows: 1. The max. erosion rate at lubricating oil environments was related to the change of space, oil film thickness, and shown to tendency of gear oil>system oil>turbine oil>mixed oil environments with different viscosity. 2. The pitted hole by cavitation erosion at high viscosity oil environments became small and deep, and in addition to, they appeared to be wide and shallow at low viscosity.

Merging Features and Optical-NIR Color Gradient of Early-type Galaxies

  • It has been suggested that merging plays an important role in the formation and the evolution of early-type galaxies (ETGs). Optical-NIR color gradients of ETGs in high density environments are found to be less steep than those of ETGs in low density environments, hinting frequent merger activities in ETGs in high density environments. In order to examine if the flat color gradients are the result of dry mergers, we studied the relations between merging features, luminosities, environments and color gradients of 196 low redshift ETGs selected from Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) Stripe82. Near Infrared (NIR) images are taken from UKIRT Infrared Deep Sky Survey (UKIDSS) Large Area Survey (LAS). Color (r-K) gradients of ETGs with tidal features are a little flatter than relaxed ETGs, but not significant. We found that massive (> 10^11.3 solar masses) ETGs have -40% less scattered color gradients than less massive ETGs. The less scattered color gradients of massive ETGs could be evidence of dry merger processes in the evolution of massive ETGs. We found no relation between color gradients of ETGs and their environments.

  • Haptics technology allows one to interact with virtual environments, augmented environments, and real environments providing tactual sensory information. Science and technology of haptics can in general be classified into three groups: machine haptics, computer haptics, and human haptics. This paper surveys the state-of-the-art of haptic control technology for virtual environments and teleoperation (real environments) and then proposes possible future research directions in the following areas: haptic stability control, bilateral teleoperation control, and stability enhancement control.

거시환경변화가 호텔매출액에 미치는 영향: 경주지역 특급호텔을 중심으로 (The Influences of Changes in Macro-Environments on Hotel Sales: Cases of Deluxe Hotels in Gyeongju City)

  • Generally, tourism environments are classified as macro or micro environments. Hotel revenues are influenced directly and indirectly by macro and micro environments. This study aims to examine the determinants of the change in macro-environments on hotel revenue. The explanatory variables in this research were wage, exchange rates (ER), consumer price index (CPI) and seasonality. The results of this study were as follows; The CPI and ER significantly affected the hotel food and beverage sales. The seasonality (summer and autumn) and wage significantly affected the hotel room sales. Wage and seasonality (summer and autumn) also significantly affected the total sale on the hotels.

  • 유비쿼터스 환경 하에서 다중 상황 기반 권유 서비스에 대한 요구가 증대하고 있다. 이러한 환경에서는 상황의 수가 증가함에 따라 권유 정보의 양이 크게 증가하게 되어 효과적인 정보 제공이 어려워진다는 문제를 가진다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 환경에서 다중 상황 적응적인 효과적인 권유 기법을 제안한다. 본 제안 기법에서는 상황별로 의미 있는 정보를 제공할 수 있도록 하기 위해 사용자들의 상황별 선호도와 행위를 권유 정보의 양을 결정하는 가중치 요소로서 사용한다. 이를 위해 권유 기법과 시나리오를 제시하고, 본 논문에서 제안하는 기법의 효과성을 실험을 통해 평가한다.

Performance Analysis of Coordinated Random Beamforming Technique in Multi-cell Environments

  • For multi-cell environments, coordinated random beamforming technique in multiuser MIMO(multiple-input multiple-output) broadcast channel is considered. In order to mitigate severe interference at receivers, the multi-cell environments might require complex transmitter and receiver design because the scheduler decision based on full channel state information (CSI) in one cell must be intertwined with decision made by other cells' CSI. With limited CSI, however, this paper considers a scheme of randomizing transmitters' beamforming but being coordinated with other cell transmitters. The transmitters in each cell share random beamforming patterns and schedule data transmission within coherent scheduling period. The corandomized beams allow the users to be selected with the highest SINRs even in multi-cell environments. We analyze the performance of the proposed scheme. And numerical results show that the scheme achieves better performance than the conventional random beamforming when applying to multi-cell environments.
