중등학교 환경교과 선택현황에 기초한 환경교육 확산방안 (The Spreading Strategy of Environmental Education Based on the Status of Selecting Rate of Environment Subject in Secondary School)

  • This study aims to explore the ways in spreading and maturing of environmental Education(EE) in secondary school. To deal with this issue, researchers investigate the actual conditions of EE and grope for the ways in spreading and maturing of EE. According to investigation, the selecting rate of environment subject in secondary school is about 3%(compared selecting rate of other subject matters) in 2003. Based on the result, this study suggests followings. First, sequencing strategy of EE curriculum will be expected very efficaciously. Secondly, there is need to empasize daily experiences of EE beyond the formal subject matter. Thirdly and ultimately, thers is need to reform school curriculum centered EE. Moreover, there is need to empasize teacher education for the environment not only pre service but also in-service teacher training.

학교급식에서의 친환경농산물 사용 확대를 위한 지불의사분석 (Willingness-to-Pay on Increase of Usage for Environmental-friendly Agricultural Product in School Food Service)

  • The objective of this study is to analyze the factors increased use of environmentalfriendly agricultural product in school food service. For this, I surveyed the perceptions on environmental-friendly agricultural product and willingness-to-pay for increasing use to 500 parents of elementary, middle and high school. As a result, the perception of environment and safety is the highest, but health and consumption is the lowest. The average of willingness-to-pay is about 12,136 Won per month. But 14.2 percent of the total respondents said that they did not have a willingness-to-pay, and 62.6 percent said that they would pay an additional 10,000 won or less. The factors affecting the willingness-to-pay were gender, income, health and consumption factors. Despite the low level of parents' perception of the health and consumption factors for environmental-friendly agricultural products, health and consumption factors affect statistically significant on the willingness-to-pay compared to others. Most of the promotion and education of environmental-friendly agricultural products has focused on safety, but this study suggests that education on the health and correct consumption of environmental-friendly agricultural products is important.

코로나19 전후 서울·경기지역 산업체 급식 서비스 품질에 대한 이용자의 인식 변화 비교 (Altered Perception of Industrial Food Service Quality before and after COVID-19: Focus on Customers in the Seoul·Gyeonggi area)

  • This study compares and analyzes changes in users' perceptions of industrial catering food service quality before and after COVID-19. The survey enrolled 226 subjects at five industrial catering establishments in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province; a total of 204 customers with complete data were included in the final analysis. Factor analysis was conducted to verify convergence validity and construct reliability; results pertaining to 'service and environmental hygiene' and 'quality of food' were extracted. Among the general variables of food service quality, differences were obtained in the user's perceptions of food service qualities according to gender, education, and marital status. Our results revealed that women, low education, and married people perceived significant differences in all attributes before and after COVID-19. Additionally, varied altered perceptions were determined for service quality according to the occupations of the subjects. However, no differences were obtained for pleasant dining environment in the 'service and environmental hygiene factor' and variety of desserts in the 'food quality factor'.

중학교 학교급식의 식당과 교실 배식의 급식만족도와 위생상태 비교 (Comparing School Lunch Program Served at Dining Room with Program at Classroom for Sanitation and Contentment at One Middle School)

  • School lunch programs at middle schools have increased in quantity. However, the quality of them is in fact not enough to reach the satisfactory standard, especially in the aspect of environment of school meals. It is true that there seems to be little attention to the environment. In this study, degree of satisfaction about school lunch program was surveyed for students in one middle school. Focus of survey was sanitary condition about the dining room and classroom where they have lunch. First, in order to investigate the degree of satisfaction about their dining place, questionnaire was sent out to the students at one middle school in Seoul. Questionnaire was made with reference to previous research. Second, for the study on environmental sanitation, dropping bacteria (general bacteria) is measured in three parts of dining place (entrance, serving table, dining table). Petriplate film was exposed to the responsible places for 15 minutes and then cultivated at the temperature of $32^{\circ}C$ for 48 hours before counting the number of bacteria formed. For the statistical analysis, SPSS 12.0 was used. The results of the study show that students had more satisfaction in dining room service than in classroom service. Important factors for the meal program such as "taste of food", "amount of food per student", "state of keeping warm", "appearance of food", "diversity of menu", and "kindliness of feeding staff" had more points in dining room than in classroom. For the environmental and sanitary aspect, the result of dropping bacteria (general bacteria) in dining room and classroom showed that table (5.00) and fooddistribution corner (8.67) of dining room were cleaner than those of classroom (P < 0.05). Making a good environment for school feeding will have a positive effect on the improvement of satisfaction and sanitation of school feeding. There should be expansion of dining room service for the students.

식물원·수목원 기능성 평가를 통한 개선방안 연구 (A Study on Improvement through Functionality Evaluation on Botanic Gardens and Arboreta in Korea)

  • This study evaluated 23 botanic gardens and arboretums under two main categories including professional group and operational group. As for professional group, the main difference between the functions of botanic gardens and arboretums was analyzed. In the case of operational group compared professional group respectively, on categories including importance of function and implementation, seeking to provide fundamental data of botanic gardens and arboretums by enhancing the quality of visitors and examining functional differences. The result of a difference in arboretums' function between professional and operational groups, the study analyzed the importance of botanic gardens and arboretums in terms of detailed categories such as research, education, collection, display, retention, and service for visitors. As a result, professional group showed retention 4.32>education 4.11>research 4.09>service for visitors 4.05, and operational group showed retention 3.70>service 3.52>education 3.41>research 3.37, indicating that both groups had retention as the most selected answer. Looking closely at the functions of the currently implemented detailed categories of botanic gardens and arboretums, such as research, education, collection, display, retention, and service for visitors, the study showed that 91.3% selected rare species and individual multiplication for research function, 78.3% chose education of natural ecosystem for children for education, 73.9% answered space for experiencing nature for display, and 73.9% also replied managon, diof rare species, reproduction, and retention of native plants' species for retention category, and service for visitors showed 95.7% for implementation. The study could not clearly point out the influence between predictors due to absence of an established comprehensive evaluation model. Also, it analyzed and reviewed comparison of functions of professional group and operational group, but in the future, it should conduct study on a systemic and objective classification of botanic gardens and arboretums to clearly examine the difference in views between groups, which also requires, at the same time, study on management policy of botanic gardens and arboretums or suggesting guidelines that suit types of forms, and also study on facilities and program development that can be applied to each class.

생태학적 관점에 입각한 환경 교육과정 개발 연구 - 교사에 대한 환경 교육 실태조사와 요구분석을 중심으로 - (A Study on Development of Environmental Education Curriculum Based on the Standpoint of Ecology - A Survey of Environmental Education Situations and Needs Assessment of School Teachers -)

  • This research aims to collect informations which is necessary to develop a curriculum for the environmental education of elementary and secondary schools. We developed a questionnaire concerning the present situations of environmental education in schools and needs assessment items about environmental education. The questionnaire were distributed to a sample of elementary and secondary school teachers with diverse grades and locations. The results of our reserch are as fellows: 1. The awareness of key concepts related to environment problems. They are not aware of ecological interdependence but just focus on the result of environmental deterioration 2. The awareness of importance of environmental education: Teachers prefer campaigns or legislations to environmental education. They want to take an Immediate action rather than a fundmental method like education in order to solve environmental problems 3. The awareness of relationships between environmental problems and natural or man-made circumstances: Most teachers emphasize recycle and reuse of the materials such as batteries, papers, plastics, cans. and bottles. but do not teach the importance of ecology. Only science and environment teachers do. 4. Environmentalism or ecology? Ideally teachers accept the importance of ecology, but in reality they cohoose environmentalism. 5. On the content and method of environmental education: Teachers insist that both environmental instruction and practical, first-hand experience should be given to not only elementary but secondary students, and that most of subject matters should deal with environmental issues. 6. On the situations and tasks of environmental education: School teachers indicate that they could not instill positive patterns of conduct toward environment in students. They think that both insufficient in-service training about environment and cooperation among teachers themselves are partially responsible for it.

문화예술교육 서비스 품질을 통한 무용교육의 가치에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Value of Dance Education through the Quality of Culture and Arts Education Service)

  • 본 연구는 문화예술교육이 제공하고 있는 서비스 품질이 무용교육의 서비스 가치와 어떠한 영향이 있는지를 검증하고, 이러한 관계에서 문화예술교육 참여자의 재이용의도가 어떠한 역할을 하는지를 검증하고자 하였다. 설문조사는 2019년 10월 1일부터 2019년 12월 30일까지로 문화예술교육에 참여하는 일반인을 대상으로 층화표본추출방법을 이용하여 표본을 선정하여 총 350부를 회수하여 연구에 사용하였다. 독립변수와 종속변수와의 영향관계를 검증하기 위하여 다중회귀분석을 실시하였고, 3단계의 매개 회귀분석을 이용하여 독립변수와 종속변수와의 관계에서 매개변수의 역할을 검증하고자 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 서비스 품질의 하위요인과 감정적 가치의 영향관계를 분석한 결과는 시설 및 환경서비스가 제일 영향이 크게 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 서비스 품질의 하위요인과 기능적 가치의 영향관계를 분석한 결과는 시설 및 환경서비스가 제일 영향이 크게 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 서비스 품질의 하위요인과 사회적 가치의 영향관계를 분석한 결과는 시설 및 환경서비스가 제일 영향이 크게 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 서비스 품질과 서비스 가치의 관계에서 재이용의도의 역할을 분석한 결과에서 내용 및 강사서비스와 서비스가치의 관계에서 재이용의도는 완전매개 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 시설 및 환경서비스와 서비스 가치의 관계에서 재이용의도는 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구를 통하여 문화예술교육의 서비스 품질을 기반으로 무용교육이 지역과 함께 할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 또한 문화예술교육에 유아교육, 청소년 교육, 사회복지, 특수교육 분야에 대한 문화예술교육 방법론 제공도 적극적으로 모색하여 학교문화예술교육, 사회문화예술교육, 평생교육 등에 활용 가능하도록 문화정책에서의 문화예술교육, 교육정책에서의 문화예술교육이 서로 연계성을 가지는 지원정책이 제공되기를 기대한다.

초.중등학교에서 진행되는 환경 관련 수업의 현황 분석 (Analyzing the Status of Environment-related Teaching in Elementary and Secondary Schools)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the status of environment-related teaching in elementary and secondary schools. A questionnaire survey was conducted for the study. Items in the questionnaire were developed based on the theory of environmental education and integrated education. The questionnaire was responded to 501 elementary school teachers, 273 middle school teachers, and 210 high school teachers in the city of Seoul and Kyunggi Province. The survey analysis revealed that elementary and secondary school teachers recognized 'environmental action skills' as the most important objective for school environmental education. Contrary to the teachers' expectations, it was found that there is insufficient teaching and learning materials for teaching in the domain of 'environmental action skills' and they could not confidently teach the skills in environment-related classes. For professional development of teachers in integrated environmental education, pre- and in-service programs will be developed systematically in a workshop to give teachers an opportunity to analyze teaching materials, design instruction plan, perform class trial, and evaluate the class situation for feedback. The results of this study can serve as a basic reference for improvement of environment-related subject education.

교원 재교육 프로그램에 대한 한국어 교원의 요구와 관련 변인 연구 -국내 대학 부설 한국어교육기관을 중심으로- (A Study of Korean Teachers' Needs in In-Service Teacher Training and Variables Related to Their Needs: A Case of University Korean Language Education Centers in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine Korean teachers' needs in in-service teacher training and variables related to their needs. This study was conducted with teachers from Korean language centers in Korean universities. The following three research questions were investigated: (1) What are the teachers' experiences of Korean language teaching and in-service teacher training? (2) What are the teachers' needs and expectations for the content and components of in-service education programs? Are there any disparity between teachers' needs and institutional needs? (3) What are the variables to be considered in designing an effective in-service teacher education program? In order to answer the research questions, a survey was developed and distributed to university Korean language institutions and Korean language teachers. The results indicated that both institutions and teachers are highly aware of the importance of the need for in-service teacher training. The results also suggested that a more teacher-centered, bottom-up approach should be implemented for successful outcomes of teacher education programs. Based on the results, this study offers a summary of the need for in-service teacher training and variables (both individual teacher variables and environmental variables) to be considered in designing the content and components of a teacher education program.

대중매체의 환경교육적 활용 가능성에 관한 고찰 (A Survey on the Application Possibility of Mass Media for Environmental Education)

  • The purpose of this study was to survey on the awareness of teachers and students to mass media as a source for school environmental education. This study was performed with the questionnaire to 179 teachers who participated in certificate in-service training for $\ulcorner$Environment$\lrcorner$subject and to 635 students(primary: 177, middle: 179, high school students: 279). The results derived from this study were as follows: First, most teachers(86.6%) evaluated that mass media's effects on students were high and positive in terms of school environmental education, thus they thought that the application necessity and possibility of mass media for environmental education were so too. Second, many teachers evaluated that more program related with environment had to be produced(57.0%) and disseminated, and information on them had to be apprised teachers to activate school environmental education(44.1%). Third, both teachers(87.1%) and students(70.4%) evaluated that audio-visual media such as television, video, movie was better than others for environmental education because audio-visual media could be more realistic and dynamic(T: 48.0%, S: 41.7%). Fourth, we found that as the result of statistical analysis, students's friendliness. credibility and preference on media were different to school classes. But we could not analize the relationship between factors for the limit of sample.
