우주비행체 음향-진동 연성시험장치 개발 (Development of Vibro-acoustic Testing System for Space Flight Vehic1e)

  • High intensity vibro-acoustic testing is the appropriate method for flight qualification testing of space flight vehicle which must ensure the acoustic environment of launch. Growing demand for satellites and launch vehicles in korea has resulted in a recent increase in the demand for high intensity vibro-acoustic test facility. The test facility is designed to provide an acoustic environment of 152 ㏈( re 20 ${\mu}$Pa) overall sound pressure level over the band width of 30 Hz to 10,000 Hz in the reverberant chamber. The reverberant chamber has a volume of 1,000 ㎥ with interior dimensions of 8.7m${\times}$l0m${\times}$12m, which can accommodate not only satellites but also launch vehicle payload fairing. Korea Aerospace Research Institute and Korean industries have been carrying out the development of the reverberant chamber and auxiliary devices, such as automatic control system, monitoring/safety device, and jet nozzle, etc. This paper presents the detailed description of High Intensity Acoustic Chamber of KARI, which will be the first and unique testing facility in Korea.

Calibration Chamber System을 이용한 KICT-type LPT 장비의 거동분석 (Evaluation of KICT-type Large Penetration Test using Calibration Chamber System)

  • It is well known that the standard penetration test (SPT) has been used in all over the world to get geotechnical properties of the ground. However, it is difficult to apply the SPT to the dense sand, gravel, weathered rock, etc. For the application of the SPT in these grounds, it is necessary to change in the diameter and the impact energy of the SPT. For the improvement of site investigation technology, Large Penetration Testing device (KICT-type LPT) was developed and applied to the in situ condition. The drop height and weight of the hammer in developed system were decided as 760mm and 150kg, respectively. And the developed sampler has the inner diameter of 63 mm and the length of 500 mm with the adjustment of energy ratio to the SPT of 1.5. In this study, the performance of KICT-type LPT was evaluated by using a calibration chamber system and pile driving analyzer (PDA)

쓰레기 매립지 최종 복토층에서 가스 측정방법과 유출특성 해석 (Analysis of Flow Character and Gas Measurement from Final Cover Soil of sanitary Landfill)

  • 쓰레기매립장에서 복토층을 통하여 대기중에 유출하는 가스를 현장에서 단시간내에 측정이 가능한 밀폐형 chamber법을 제시하였다. 또한, 최종복토층에서의 유출가스 실측치를 모델해석으로 모사하여 다음의 결과를 얻었다. 1) 시간변화에 따른 chamber내(H=10-30 cm)의 농도 변화는 30분이내로, G.C의 분석시간을 고려하여 5분단위로 분석한다. 2)메탄산화 반응의 영향으로 $CH_4$/$CO_2$비가 복토층 표면근처에서 급격히 변화한다. 3)매립지 표면의 flux가 F =$10^{-5}$mol/($m^2$.s)일 경우에는 메탄산화반응에 의해 가스조성에의 영향이 있으나, F =$10^{-6}$moll($\textrm{m}^2$.s)의 경우에는 복토층내의 메탄가스 농도가 상대적으로 적으므로 메탄산화반응에의 영향이 적다.

Nanoparticle Formation from a Commercial Air Freshener at Real-exposure Concentrations of Ozone

  • Occupational nanomaterial exposure is an important issue in the manufacture of such products. People are also exposed to various nanoparticles in their living environments. In this study, we investigated nanoparticle formation during the reaction of ozone and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted from a commercial air freshener, one of many widely used consumer products, in a $1-m^3$ reaction chamber. The air freshener contained various VOCs, particularly terpenes. A petri dish containing 0.5 mL of the air freshener specimen was placed in the bottom of the chamber, and ozone was continuously injected into the center of the chamber at a flow rate of 4 L/min with an ozone concentration of either 50, 100 or 200 ppb. Each test was conducted over a period of about 4 h. The higher ozone concentrations produced larger secondary nanoparticles at a faster rate. The amount of ozone reacted was highly correlated with the amount of aerosol formation. Ratios of reacted ozone concentration and of formed particle mass concentration for the three injected ozone concentrations of 50, 100 and 200 ppb were similar to one other; 4.6 : 1.9 : 1.0 and 4.7 : 2.2 : 1.0 for ozone and aerosol mass, respectively.

우주비행체 음향 환경 시험을 위한 고음압 잔향실 개발

  • 우주비행체 음향 환경 시험을 위한 고음압 잔향실이 한국항공우주연구원에서 개발되었다. 우주비행체는 우주로 발사되는 동안 발사체에서 발생되는 고음압의 음향환경에 노출되므로, 발사 이전에 음향 환경에 대한 신뢰성시험이 수행된다. 한국항공우주연구원에 개발된 음향챔버는 부피 1,228세제곱 미터이며, 152dB의 음압을 잔향실 내부에 재생한다. 재생 주파수 범위는 25Hz~10,000Hz이다. 음향 환경 시험시설은 잔향실을 비롯해서, 질소 공급장치, 음원, 스펙트럼 제어시스템 등으로 구성된다. 본 논문은 시험시설을 구성하는 각 요소를 설계하기 위한 기본 개념을 서술한다. 또한 실제 건설된 음향챔버에서 측정된 결과를 바탕으로 음향챔버의 성능을 검증한다.

논에서 시용 유기물의 메탄 전환율에 미치는 벼 식생 및 물관리의 영향 (Effect of Rice Vegetation and Water Management on Thrnover of Incorporated Organic Materials to Methane in a Korean Paddy Soil)

  • 논에 볏짚과 볏짚퇴비를 시용하고 상시담수와 간단관개로 관리하면서 벼가 심긴 chamber와 벼가 심겨지지 않은 chamber에서 메탄으로 전환되는 정도를 조사하였다. 벼가 심긴 chamber에서는 상시담수에서 메탄 전환율은 시용한 유기물의 신선도에 따라서 증가하였다. 볏짚을 5월에 시용한 처리 (RS5), 볏짚을 2월에 시용한 처리 (RS2), 볏짚퇴비를 5월에 시용한 처리 (RSC)에서 전환율이 각기 14.9%, 9.5%, 4.0%였었다. 범위는 4.0% ~ 14,9 %, 평균은 9.5%였었다. 간단관개에서 전환율도 유사한 경향이었다. 간단관개한 RS5 처리, RS2 처리, RSC 처리에서 메탄으로 전환율을 각기 9.8%, 5.5%, 2.1%였었다. 범위는 2.1% ~ 9.8%, 평균은 5.8%였었다. 벼를 심은 chamber에서 상시담수에서 메탄으로 전환율은 간단관개에서 보다 1.64배 높았다. 벼를 심지 않은 chamber에서 상시담수에서 메탄 전환율은 시용한 유기물의 신선도에 따라서 증가하였다. RS5 처리 RS2 처리 RSC 처리에서 전환율이 각기 8.7%, 3.3%, 3.0%였었다. 범위는 3.0% ~ 8.7%, 평균은 5.0%였었다. 간단관개에서 전환율도 유사한 경향이었다. 간단관개한 RS5 처리, RS2 처리. RSC 처리에서 메탄 전환율을 각기 5.4%, 3.0%, 1.4 %였었다. 범위는 1.4% ~ 5.4%, 평균은 3.3%였었다. 벼를 심은 chamber에서 상시담수에서 메탄 전환율은 간단관개에서 보다 1.52배 높았다.

종방향 전기장 근접 감지 방식 수액 주입 측정 센서 (Intravenous Infusion Monitoring Sensor Based on Longitudinal Electric Field Proximity Sensing Technique)

  • A novel intravenous (IV) infusion monitoring sensor is presented to measure the drop rate in the drip chamber of an IV infusion set. It is based on a capacitive proximity sensor and detects the variation of the longitudinal electric field induced by the drop falling into the drip chamber. Unlike the conventional capacitor sensor with two semi-cylindrical conductor plates, the proximity sensor for IV monitoring is composed of a pair of conductor rings which are mounted on the outer surface of the drip chamber with a specific gap between them. The characteristics of the proximity sensor for IV monitoring were investigated through three dimensional electrostatic simulations. It showed quite superior performances in comparison with the conventional capacitor sensor. Especially, the proposed proximity sensor exhibits consistent sensitivity regardless of its mounting position on the drip chamber, operates normally though the drip chamber is tilted and shows robustness to the changes of the drop size and the drip factor of the IV infusion set. Thus, the proximity sensor for IV monitoring is more suitable for use in actual environment of IV therapy compared with the conventional capacitor sensor.

  • A high intensity acoustic test facility is constructed at Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) by 2003. The reverberant chamber of the facility has a volume of 1,228 cubic meters and shall provide an acoustic environment of 152 dB over the frequency range of 25 Hz to 10,000 Hz. The facility consists of a large scaled reverberant chamber, acoustic power generation systems, gases nitrogen supply systems, and acoustic control systems. This paper describes how the basic parameters of a chamber and power generation systems are controlled to meet the requirement of the test. The volume of a reverberant chamber is controlled by the size of test objects and the reverberant characteristics of a chamber. The capacity of acoustic power generation systems is determined by the energy absorption of a chamber and the efficiency of acoustic modulators. Simple math is employed to calculate the required power of acoustic modulators. Moreover, the paper explains how the distribution of sound pressure level at low frequency is checked by analytical and numerical methods.

복합 건축자재의 물질전달계수를 이용한 실내 오염물질 농도 예측방법 (A prediction of indoor pollutant concentration using method mass transfer coefficient in multi-layered building materials)

  • In order to predict the indoor air pollutant, the VOCs emission rate is used through small chamber in the design process. However, the small chamber method has limitations as the convective mass transfer coefficient, the most important factor when predicting VOCs contamination of indoor air, is different between the small chamber result and the measured data in the actual building. Furthermore, the existing studies which analyzed mass transfer coefficient in the small chamber were directed on the small chambers developed at the time and FLEC(Field and Laboratory Emission Cell), thus, are different from the current small chamber which has been changed with improvements. The purpose of this study is to determine the emission rate of pollutant in multi-layered building materials, and predict the indoor pollutant concentration through the CFD(Computational of Fluid Dynamics) and CRIAQ2 based on the mass transfer coefficient on singled-layered building material by using the current small chamber widely used in Korea. Futhermore, this study used the new convective mass transfer coefficient(hm') which indicates the existing convective mass transfer coefficient(hm) including VOC partition coefficient(k). Also, formaldehyde was selected as target pollutant.

우주환경모사 진공실험 시설에서의 미소추력 측정방법 (Method of Micro-thrust Measurement in Vacuum chamber for Space Applications)

  • 본 논문에서는 진공실험 시설에서의 여러 미소추력 측정방법에 대한 소개와 필요성을 말하고 있다. 이는 실제 마이크로 인공위성에 적용을 위한 마이크로 추력기 개발을 위해 필수적인 요소이다. 우주환경모사를 위해 충남대학교 고진공 설비를 구축하였으며, 이 설비에서 효율적인 미소추력 측정이 이루어질 수 있도록 진공 챔버 내의 미소 추력측정 방법에 대한 연구를 진행하였다.
