  • A inventory management system of the manufacturing industry has a model of different kinds according to the objective and the situation. A inventory management system needs superior system technique in demand forecast, economical efficiency, reliability and application for stable supply of the finished goods, the raw materials and the parts. This paper proposes a demand forecast method based on fuzzy structured neural network, which uses min-operation and trapezoid membership function of fuzzy rules. So we can have an intelligent inventory management system for optimized decision-making of forecasting data with expert's opinion in fuzzy environment. This inventory management system used an intelligence agent and it could be adapted to asystemenvironmentchangeinorder.

The Design and Implementation of an Energy-Smart Home in Korea

  • We present the motivation, design and implementation of a smart home system in Korea. Our system is open, extensible, integrated, intelligent, and usage-centric. We detail the challenges and key design requirements for the smart home system based on our past experiences, and show how convergence system design is a capable methodology for enabling an integrated and multi-faceted home management system that encompasses energy management, home appliance control, environment management, u-health, and living support functionalities under a single unified design. Using energy management as a specific case study, we demonstrate how convergence system design can encapsulate technology heterogeneity and hardware-software disparity without compromising simple yet powerful user interfaces.

수송안전정보시스템 개발 (Development of HAZMAT Information System)

  • Ministry of Environment developed ‘Emergency Response Information System (ERIS)’ in 2001, which is in operation. As a next step, currently National Emergency Response Information System (NERIS) is being developed. The main difference among ERIS and NERIS is to enhance the system in the national level, including transportation of hazardous materials. This paper introduces concepts and methods applied to NERIS, especially HAZMAT, and the information system, operating strategies. Based on GIS and transportation-network data, the best route can be offered using Risk Analysis. Strategies for reporting and first-response information systems are also designed for emergencies in the paper.

교과교실제 운영학교의 홈베이스 공간유형에 관한 연구 (A study on the Space type of Homebase in Schools that Operate Departmentalized Classrooms)

  • Since the introduction of the Departmentalized Classroom System in 2009, schools that operate the system experienced many changes in terms of school management, educational courses, and school environment. In particular, class-based classrooms changed into departmentalized classrooms and staff rooms became teachers' support centers and research rooms to create an environment that is apt for the management of departmentalized classrooms. Students have also come to move from departmentalized classrooms to departmentalized classrooms in which homebases were prepared as a space for students to rest and enjoy a stable school life. As such, homebases as a space for students to enjoy school life are indispensable and are becoming more important for the management of the Departmentalized Classroom System. Thus, it is necessary to investigate in detail the state of the establishment of homebases in schools that operate the system. In line with this, this paper sampled 59 schools that have managed the system as an advanced system for over 2 years and conducted school visits and held interviews to investigate and analyze the placement, function, and scale of homebases as well as to provide basic material on homebases.

  • The medium and small logistic companies that have an outsourcing contract from the large corporation are encountered with a problem to introduce the ERP system to their current business environment due to following risk of change in current business environment, high cost involved in investment, and lack of understanding of business requirement of ERP. Instead of build their own ERP system, the small and medium logistic companies are using the large corporation's ERP system and get the benefit of efficiency in management and control process. Therefore, it is more like the organization hierarchy, not collaboration between the medium and small companies with the large corporation. In this study, the survey method to find out how the medium and small logistic companies understand the importance of ERP system on continuous growth of business by AHP. as result, they are recognized. The benefit of the ERP system as having much effect on business competitiveness.

  • 사교육의 발달과 교육환경의 변화로 인하여 학원홍보와 학생과의 커뮤니티 및 모바일 환경에서 학원관리의 다양한 업무 사항에 대하여 학원관리시스템의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 하지만 학생들의 등하교에 따른 출석관리와 후원자에게 공지사항 전달 및 강사 관리 등, 기존의 학원 업무를 위해 개발된 솔루션들은 대형학원 위주로 특화되고 전문화되어 있어 중소규모의 학원에는 사용이 어렵고, 비용이 고가이기 때문에 대부분의 학원에는 적합하지 못하고 학원들의 다양한 요구사항을 반영할 수 없는 문제점이 존재한다. 따라서, 본 논문은 학원의 일반적인 업무에 대한 요구사항을 추출하고, 추출된 요구사항을 분석 및 정의하여 학사행정 및 매니저관리, 출결관리, 학생관리 등 학원업무 최적화된 기능을 기반으로 신속 정확한 정보처리와 신뢰도 향상 및 업무 처리 비용을 절감할 수 있는 B2M 기반의 학원관리시스템을 설계하였다.

친환경적인 물류 활동을 통한 기업 물류비 절감에 관한 탐색적 연구 (A Study on Reduction of Business Logistics Cost through Environmentally-Conscious Logistics Activity)

  • As the industry develops, the amount of wastes is increasing in the economic system with various needs. As a result, the environmental problems are emerging as serious social issues and all the parties are required to make their best efforts. Among the issues proposed as the environmental issues, the logistics-related issues are exhaustion of the resources, global warming, environmental pollution, and acidification and so on. In order to respond to the environmental issues of the earth, the advanced countries are setting retrenched goals, reduction of the new greenhouse gases and accomplishment of retrenched goals by cooperation between the nations. Economic activities inevitably bring environmental problems and logistics is implementing those activities. The companies should perform the roles to resolve the environmental problems as the main cause of environmental pollution. Therefore, along with spreading recognition of social demand, the companies are required to establish policies regarding the environment and they should approach the issues from the perspective of resource circulation. These environment-friendly activities are emerging as the new source of competitiveness in the logistics field. Therefore, this study analyzes the effects of environment-friendly logistics activities on the reduction of logistics cost to reduce and resolve the environmental issues such as environment preservation, recycling and so on.

인산질비료 장기연용 논토양에서 유효인산 변동 (Change in Available Phosphate by Application of Phosphate Fertilizer in Long-term Fertilization Experiment for Paddy Soil)

  • BACKGROUND: Phosphorus(P) is a vital factor for rice but excess input of phosphorus fertilizer can cause environmental risk and waste of fertilizer resources. We studied to assess the change of available phosphate, P balance, critical concentration of available phosphate under a rice single system. METHODS AND RESULTS: The changes of available phosphate of paddy soil were examined from long-term fertilization experiment which was started in 1954 at the National Academy of Agricultural Science. The treatments were no phosphate fertilization(No fert., and N), phosphate fertilization(NPK, NPKC, and NPKCLS). The available phosphorus concentrations in treatments without phosphate fertilizer (No fert. and N) were decreased continuously. But, after 47 years, available phosphate content in phosphate fertilizer treatment (NPK, NPKC, and NPKCLS) reached at the highest ($245{\sim}331mg\;kg^{-1}$), showing a tendency to decrease afterward. The mean annual P field balance in these treatments (NPK, NPKC, and NPKCLS) had positive values that varied from 16.6 to $17.5kg\;ha^{-1}year^{-1}$, and ratio of residual P were increased. These showed that phosphate fertilizer in soil were converted into the form of residual phosphorus which was not easily extracted by available phosphate extractant. Also, It was estimated that the critical value of available phosphate for rice cultivation was $120mg\;kg^{-1}$ using Cate-Nelson equation. CONCLUSION: We concluded that no more phosphate fertilizer should be applied in rice single system if soil available phosphate is higher than the critical P value.

Assessment of Agricultural Environment Using Remote Sensing and GIS

  • Remote sensing(RS)- and geographic information system(GIS)-based information management to measure and assess agri-environment schemes, and to quantify and map environment indicators for nature and land use, climate change, air, water and energy balance, waste and material flow is in high demand because it is very helpful in assisting decision making activities of farmers, government, researchers, and consumers. The versatility and ability of RS and GIS containing huge soil database to assess agricultural environment spatially and temporally at various spatial scales were investigated. Spectral and microwave observations were carried out to characterize crop variables and soil properties. Multiple sources RS data from ground sensors, airborne sensors, and also satellite sensors were collected and analyzed to extract features and land cover/use for soils, crops, and vegetation for support precision agriculture, soil/land suitability, soil property estimation, crop growth estimation, runoff potential estimation, irrigated and the estimation of flooded areas in paddy rice fields. RS and GIS play essential roles in a management and monitoring information system. Biosphere-atmosphere interection should also be further studied to improve synergistic modeling for environment and sustainability in agri-environment schemes.
