  • The goal of this study is to compare entrepreneurial orientation of both countries' students and to compare the effect of individualism on developing entrepreneurial orientation of both countries. In order to achieve this goal, this study will conduct two analysis. Firstly, the comparative study on entrepreneurial orientation of both students will be implemented by conducting F-test and t-test. Secondly, the regression analysis between an independent variable - individualism - and dependent variables - innovativeness, internal locus of control, and entrepreneurial orientation - will be conducted in order to compare the effect of individualism on developing entrepreneurial orientation. Prior to implementation of two analysis, this study has implemented the survey to Korean and Chinese university students to estimate entrepreneurial orientation and a cultural variable to influence entrepreneurial orientation. The question of survey is divided into two parts - individual entrepreneurial orientation including internal locus of control and innovativeness and a cultural variable, individualism. As other precedent comparative studies of Chines and Korean potential entrepreneurship concluded, Chinese students have shown higher entrepreneurial orientation than Korean students. However, on the contrary to prior studies on cultural factors and entrepreneurship, only Chinese students' entrepreneurial orientation is influenced by individualism. Any dependent variables of Korean students were not affected by individualism variable.

  • Employees with a high learning orientation are more likely to identify a multitude of entrepreneurial opportunities created by the Fourth Industrial Revolution and readily develop innovative solutions. Therefore, understanding the structural link between employees' learning orientation and entrepreneurial intention is of great academic interest. Despite its importance, this relationship remains under-researched. This study investigated the mediating effect of entrepreneurship in the relationship between Korean employees' learning orientation and entrepreneurial intention, and verified the moderating effect of entrepreneurial experience in those relationships. The empirical analysis results of our study are as follows. First, employees' learning orientation had a significant positive effect on entrepreneurial intention. Second, there was a full mediating effect of entrepreneurship in the relationship between employees' learning orientation and entrepreneurial intention. This means that employees with a high learning orientation tend to have high entrepreneurship, and this high entrepreneurship can be a decisive factor in increasing their entrepreneurial intention. Third, the moderating effect of entrepreneurial experience was empirically confirmed in the relationship between learning orientation and entrepreneurship. This indicates that employees with higher learning orientation and more entrepreneurial experience generally exhibit higher levels of entrepreneurship. However, it was confirmed that the interaction term between learning orientation and entrepreneurial experience had a significant negative effect on entrepreneurship. Fourth, it was found that there exists a fully mediated moderation effect of entrepreneurial experience through entrepreneurship in the relationship between learning orientation and entrepreneurial intention.

Research results show that the outcomes impact only through three determinants of theory of planned behavior and do not have significant impact to social entrepreneurial intention. It suggests that outcome expectations may be a flexible factor. Individual outcome expectations can shift to motivations when facing favorable conditions such as family support, government support, etc. The findings suggest that the ability to predict social entrepreneurial intention of attitude toward behavior, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control. Creativity, problem solving, marketing and business plan of entrepreneurial competency have a significant effect on entrepreneurial intention, but the effect of communication was non-significant. Second, the degree of self-determination did not moderate the relationship between perceived support, barriers and entrepreneurial intention. This means that the level of self-determination may not have a significant effect on the relationship between entrepreneurial environment and entrepreneurial intention. Third, the degree of self-determination was found to moderate the relationship between creativity, problem solving, communication, marketing and business plan of entrepreneurial competency and entrepreneurial intention. Specifically, as the degree of self-determination increases, the size of the influence of creativity, problem solving, marketing, and business plan on entrepreneurial intention plays a role of strengthening in a positive direction. On the other hand, as the degree of self-determination increases, the degree of self-determination, which weakens the relationship between communication and entrepreneurial intention. Future research will require exploration of other factors that can explain entrepreneurial environment and entrepreneurial capacity, and follow-up studies are needed to analyze the moderated mediating effects through conditional process models that include new mediating and moderating variables.

And, it also indicates that, with respect to the influence of the intolerance of uncertainty on the entrepreneurial intention, the start-up support system perception has the partial medium effect. Following this result of the study, it provides following indications: First the existing studies on the entrepreneurial intention had not covered the intolerance of uncertainty but it is confirmed as the psychological variable with negative influence on the entrepreneurial intention. Second, it is feasible for the preliminary start-up businesses may turn the fear on start-up failure into positive entrepreneurial intention with the start-up support system perception as the leading vehicle. And, third, based on the result, the government should enhance the start-up support system perception even more by seeking ways of efficient publicity to enable more preliminary start-up businesses to participate in diverse start-up support policies. Lastly, it discusses the limitations of this study as well as proposal for ensuing study plans.
