Multi-Dimensional Keyword Search and Analysis of Hotel Review Data Using Multi-Dimensional Text Cubes (다차원 텍스트 큐브를 이용한 호텔 리뷰 데이터의 다차원 키워드 검색 및 분석)

  • As the advance of WWW, unstructured data including texts are taking users' interests more and more. These unstructured data created by WWW users represent users' subjective opinions thus we can get very useful information such as users' personal tastes or perspectives from them if we analyze appropriately. In this paper, we provide various analysis efficiently for unstructured text documents by taking advantage of OLAP (On-Line Analytical Processing) multidimensional cube technology. OLAP cubes have been widely used for the multidimensional analysis for structured data such as simple alphabetic and numberic data but they didn't have used for unstructured data consisting of long texts. In order to provide multidimensional analysis for unstructured text data, however, Text Cube model has been proposed precently. It incorporates term frequency and inverted index as measurements to search and analyze text databases which play key roles in information retrieval. The primary goal of this paper is to apply this text cube model to a real data set from in an Internet site sharing hotel information and to provide multidimensional analysis for users' reviews on hotels written in texts. To achieve this goal, we first build text cubes for the hotel review data. By using the text cubes, we design and implement the system which provides multidimensional keyword search features to search and to analyze review texts on various dimensions. This system will be able to help users to get valuable guest-subjective summary information easily. Furthermore, this paper evaluats the proposed systems through various experiments and it reveals the effectiveness of the system.

  • The business environment is changing rapidly because of the global crisis. In order to survive and enhance competitiveness in the global market, global manufacturing companies are trying to overcome the crisis through the convergence of production infrastructure and IT technology. The importance of systems to support the integration of manufacturing processes, collaboration in product development, and information integration of providers and producers is therefore increasing. In this paper, research is conducted on the design and implementation of a collaboration system to support a power-boat manufacturing company in this situation of increased demand for collaboration and information integration. The system was designed through product-structure and production-process analysis, support product data management, and enterprise contents management. The company involved in the power-boat development project is expected to show an improvement in productivity through the integrated management of information and collaboration provided by this system.

  • An accurate feedback about customer satisfaction is a very important factor to efficiently manage achievements in the service industry. However, Korea is lack of quantitative and standardized system of customer satisfaction measurement. This paper suggests standardized survey system with more in-depth and various methods of questionnaire survey as well as analysis which is able to efficiently evaluate customer satisfaction. This system is that investigates customer satisfaction of process based services, which uses various methods including simply designed questionnaires, customer satisfaction survey via mobile, and an investigation on follow-up satisfaction rate. In addition, we adopted scoring system to digitize a degree of satisfaction rate, so the suggested system provides an opportunity to improve specific objects those need to be improved by clearly evaluating a degree of satisfaction rate and applying various analysis techniques, such as IPA (Importance Performance Analysis), process analysis, and expectation analysis etc. This study substantiates suggested system through applying it to travel agency which is a representative enterprise of tour service.

  • The purpose of this treatise is to show merits and method of establishing Lotte department store design division Online Documents Communication System through illustration of examples of intranet in which internet environment convenient to use for its openness is applied for establishing Design Online Documents Communication System for fundamentals of organization. In this connection merits and effect attainable from establishing Design Outline Documents Communication System of the enterprise as found were as follows: Firstly, it brought about reduction in workload of staffs through sharing various existing resources. It reduced redundant works and enables speedy handling of works. Secondly, it was possible to exchange viewpoints and share information by pertinent parties. Thirdly, by expediting information exchange and communication among persons in charge it was possible to improve work efficiency. Fourthly, it was possible to build and operate such system at relatively low cost on the basis of web browser. Without using any other significant instrument or equipment but by linking it to business network and using existing computer system operation was possible. Fifthly, by common sharing of work exclusive to design room through on-line it was possible to improve professionalism and convenience in data preservation. Through this treatise and survey and study on process for establishing intranet it was possible to find that there were sharing work, improving work efficiency, reducing workload, saving cost and expediting communication to a significant degree.

  • Recently, the main concerns of enterprise management activities is how to strengthen the competitiveness to quickly respond to changes and sustain the growth in business environment. As IT(Information Technology) has become to be viewed as a key driver for the business competitiveness, new paradigms, such as business and IT alignment, IT-driven product/service innovation and so on, are regarded as the hot topic in many industries. However, previous studies related to IT evaluation, which is more critical than any other IT activities, have focused on quantitative IT deployment, utilization and its economical effects. Therefore, this study presents the newly-developed evaluation domains and items based on four pairs of relative concepts in industrial informatization, and their multi-dimensional analysis methodology which explains various types of IT characteristics of enterprises. And finally, pilot tests at 2 companies in financial service sector will be performed in order to verify the practicality of the evaluation system.

  • In this paper, we introduce PMS's main function and main effect which implemented medium and large scale software development project site, and we propose importance and improvement nacessity of PMS implementation. PMS's main functions are developed based on best practices which CMMI model and PMBOK. Also, each PMS has specialized unique function according to it's target industry area or related I.T solutions which has infra dependency. The effectiveness of PMS implementation on project site is seperated two types, one is qualitative effect, the other quantitative effect. Representative qualitative effects are improvement of enterprise's image and competency. Also representative quantitative effect is reduction of project management cost as a financial effect. As far as project size is increase, PMS's needs and necessariness will be increase, so we need to improve PMS;s function according to project management's global trend and software customer's requisition.

  • In an extended enterprise, there is a shift to shared services, cosourcing and outsourcing, and extending out to partners, suppliers, and customers to accomplish business objectives more effectively. Along with this critical need, executives should be aware of the need to focus on optimizing the value of their information technology and reducing the related risks. So IT governance is critical, and many companies including spin-off venture are providing IT governance solution, but very little is known about brand management and marketing strategy of IT governance solution provider. The purpose of this study is to investigate brand positioning of IT governance solution company focusing on spin-off venture. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, brand management is needed in the spin-off venture. second, IT governance solution companies including spin-off venture must provide something more than functional value. That is, they actively seek to emotional or symbolic value for their customers.

  • The 4th Industrial Revolution has been rapidly changing the environment of all industries and the new technologies as included in the 4th Industrial Revolution has taken the lead in this change. Domestic SME need to change according to the 4th Industrial Revolution. Specially, it is necessary to introduce smart factories to the SME. Thus, this study suggests strategies for successful introduction of smart factories to SME through SWOT analysis about the situation of the SME. As strategies for utilizing its strengths, first, it is an activation through superior competitiveness. Second, the utilization of excellent technology and information is considered. Third, it is suggested to utilize global network-based environment. The strategies for making up for weakness are provided as follows. First, it is suggested to raise awareness of information security. Second, it is considered to establish technical standardization for the construction of evaluation system. Third, the promotion of manpower to secure professional manpower is suggested. The implication of this study is that it suggests the necessity of smart factory to understand and prepare for effective strategies for SME and various external strategies for the fourth industrial revolution.

  • Constraint directed scheduling techniques, representing problem constraints explicitly and constructing schedules by constrained heuristic search, have been successfully applied to real world scheduling problems that require satisfying a wide variety of constraints. However, there has been little basic research on the representation and optimization of the objective value of a schedule in the constraint directed scheduling literature. In particular, the cost objective is very crucial for enterprise decision making to analyze the effects of alternative business plans not only from operational shop floor scheduling but also through strategic resource planning. This paper aims to explicitly represent and optimize the total cost of a schedule including the tardiness and inventory costs while satisfying non-relaxable constraints such as resource capacity and temporal constraints. Within the cost based scheduling framework, a cost propagation algorithm is presented to update cost information throughout temporal constraints within the same job.

  • Connecting with cost, schedule, and quality in a construction project, resource management is one of the essential management elements. However, the material requirement planning is built at the beginning stage of construction and needs various concerned factors, it is limited to build the resource management planning on enterprise level. The disconnected communication among managements makes impossible to control historical data. In the construction project control system, the core of management elements is to manage cost and schedule information, therefore material requirement planning should be established based on historical data about EVM which is intergating schedule and cost. In this study, a resource management system concerning material requirement planning and attribute of procurement is suggested by connecting the historical data of EVM and the material requirement planning.
