Multiplexing methods of volume holograms using fiber speckle patterns

  • The method of using fiber speckle patterns can be applied to the multiplexing of volume holograms. Fiber speckle patterns enable various multiplexing techniques such as shift, angular, and mode-scrambling methods Hybrid methods involving more than one multiplexing technique are also possible. Some images are stored and retrieved with one or two of multiplexing methods, and the experimental results are discussed.

  • Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) refers to a process and related technologies that enable a person to safely suggest, verify, and record state changes (usually updates) to synchronize ledgers distributed across network nodes. DLTs are becoming increasingly important as data management requirements evolve. Therefore, they need to understand the current state of standards (such as distributed storage and access technologies) to address future requirements. This paper provides ITU-T FG-DLT standard activities, such as standardization ization trends, use cases, reference architectures, platform evaluation criteria and future prospects.

  • Indisputably school is the main institution that socialises migrant children into the culture of their new country. Through school they learn the new language and customs, which will enable them to become cultural brokers between the new cultural world and their families. During this process migrant children often transit a liminal terrain where their roles and identity become at the same time diverse and ambivalent. Despite the challenges involved these children often become experts in juggling different cultures, environments and expectations. This study explores the experiences of Latin American children and their families as they start primary school in Australia.

  • This article describes the hardware design scheme of Hamming MAXNET algorithm which is appropriate for binary pattern classification with minimum HD measurement between stimulus vector and storage vector. Circuit integration is profitable to Hamming MAXNET because the structure of hamming network have a few connection nodes over the similar neuro-algorithms. Designed hardware is the two-layered structure composed of hamming network and MAXNET which enable the characteristics of low power consumption and fast operation with biline volgate sensing scheme. Proposed Hamming MAXNET hardware was designed as quantize-level converter for simulation, resulting in the expected binary pattern convergence property.

  • The drive towards lowering costs and increasing frame rates results in new panel designs and thereby new photomasks designs. One common way to reduce cost is to reduce the number of production steps. For this multi tone photomasks (MTM) are needed. MTMs contain more information and increases photomask placement requirements. Increasing frame rates lead to shrinking geometries. The combination of HTM and shrinking geometries drastically increases the requirements imposed on the pattern generators used to print the photomasks. New methods are therefore needed to enable future photomask manufacturing. This paper introduces three advanced image quality enhancing methods.

  • In this paper, we introduce the concept of web-based simulation and some reviews on the distributed simulation on the World Wide Web (WWW) and classify the features of current web-based simulation under the distributed way. And then we suggest the structure of distributed web-based simulation which can achieve parallel simulation and reduce simulation run time and show how the callback mechanism works to enable the distributions of jobs to clients with push service in Remote Method Invocation (RMI). Finally we present a prototype of distributed web-based simulation.

  • This paper describes procedure to build a generic reliability analysis database structure and failure data during the conceptual design phase. Reliability prediction utilizing such supporting database system enable the designer to quantify the effects of varying design and operational constrains on mechanical component's failure rate. This leads to compare competing alternatives to the reliability improvement efforts.

  • The interests about railway safety have been highly increased. Early railway safety was widely studied in Europe and Japan, and safety standards were established in 1990s. EN 50126 of CENELEC, Railway applications - Specification and demonstration of RAMS, became IEC 62278 in 2002. This standard provides Railway Authorities and railway support industry with a process which will enable the implementation of a consistent approach to the management of RAMS. IEC 62278 will be often referred to in the field of railway system. This paper examined the application of railway RAMS on basis of IEC 62278.

  • In this Paper, it has a proposal of the RFID(RFID : Radio Frequency Identification) system for high-speed recognition between the tag attached a mobile object moving high-speed and the static reader. It used 13.56MHz frequency at ISM band, and designed a reader in order to recognize a mobile object moving high-speed. It will be expected that RFID system enables a smooth railway signal control applying in railway system through the cyclic loop antenna.
