  • We establish two models -'intermediate' role model and 'infra-structural' role model - to confirm what role the concepts of 'long-term orientation' and 'asset specificity' execute in the context of supply chain management practices affect on SCM performances. We confirm the model's statistical significance with empirical investigation about 167 manufacturing companies in all over the country. As a result, we find that real data fits to 'infra-structural' role model with added paths of concepts and variables rather to 'intermediate' role model. We prove these results with empirical method of confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model with AMOS program.

  • An empirical comparison of static fuzzy relational models which are identified with different fuzzy implication operators and inferred by different composition operators is made in case that all the information is represented by the fuzzy discretization. Four performance measures (integral of mean squared error, maximal error, fuzzy equality index and mean lack of sharpness) are adopted to evaluate and compare the quality of the fuzzy relational models both at the numerical level and logical level. As the results, the fuzzy implication operators useful in various fuzzy modeling problems are discussed and it is empirically shown that the selection of data pairs is another important factor for identifying the fuzzy model with high quality.

  • This paper that explain exchange rate determination using Korea's economy data moment investigate whether each theory cause effect that is some on exchange rate showdown analyzing actual proof relation between foreign exchange fluctuation and financing part variance examine wish to. Because korea economic enters in the 1990s and the 2000s and the change is notable, foreign exchange fluctuation by such change is real condition that is changing. In this paper, I wish to enforce actual proof analysis if change such as him is grasped by form that is some about foreign exchange fluctuation. First, the second chapter investigates exchange rate decision theory that is used on actual proof interpretation, and executes actual proof Test in reply in subsequent the third chapter. And finally, the fourth chapter wishes to drive conclusion of this paper.

  • In this paper we would like to provide a help to implementing KMS(Knowledge Management System) in public sector. For this purpose, we set up five contingency environmental factors and three process factors of knowledge management. And then investigates affecting factors effect on the performance of KMS in public sector by empirical study. A field survey of public officers in Korea local government was conducted. Complete data for 333 KMS users was analyzed to determine relationship of the research constructs. The system of evaluation and compensation is the most important factor effects on the process of KM and the performance of KMS. These results provide empirical evidence that supports the necessity of rational motivation systems does lead to effective implementation of KMS in public sector.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the nature of the relationship between several factors representing EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) service quality enumerated in the service marketing literature and the adaptability to the marketing strategy of EDI service firm in Korea. An empirical study was carried out to examine not only the determinants of shipping service quality and satisfaction level but also its implications to the service marketing strategy. The data investigating the determinants of EDI service quality were collected from Korean EDI end-users. Exploratory Factor analysis was carried out to analyze the data.

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically identify the critical success factors of MRO e-marketplace. The research model presented in this study suggests that the success of MRO e-marketplace depends on environment of organization, type of product and service, and system of MRO e-marketplace. The major empirical findings of a survey of 38 firms in Korea are as follows: 1) The managers of firms have a deep concern on the effectiveness of MRO e-marketplace and are satisfied with the time saving provided by the transaction through MRO e-marketplace. 2) The variables affecting the success of MRO e-marketplace are classified into eight factors representing the characteristics of environment of organization, type of product and service, and system of MRO e-marketplace. 3) Among eight factors extracted from factor analysis, three factors are highly associated with the success of MRO e-marketplace. More specifically, the three factors, such as inside environment of company, capability of product supply, and basic function of MRO e-marketplace system, are the most Important factors affecting the success of MRO e-marketplace. The implications of the study are discussed and furlher research directions are proposed.

  • Defense R&D is an essential investment for the national security. Recently our nation has also begun to initiate a number of defense R&D projects. As a lot of fund and resources are allocated to these projects, we need to identify which projects to initiate and then how to manage these projects well. Though there have been a number of studies on R&D projects in commercial sector, there are only a few studies in defense R&D sector. Moreover, these existing defense R&D studies mainly deal with the former issues, which are occurring at the stage of project planing. We are more concerned with project management issues, such as how to manage projects that had already been evaluated to undertake at the planning stage. Specifically our study aims to identify project management factors leading to the success of defense R&D projects. Results of the empirical analysis indicate that management support, user-driven requirements management, and project planning capability are key elements for project performance.

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to find the factors for explaining the relationship between the satisfaction of IT consulting and entrepreneurship based on the corporate performance, financial and economic performance. Design/methodology/approach This study made a design of the research model by integrating the factors of entrepreneurship and satisfaction of IT consulting on the basis of ecosystem. In addition, this study, did empirical analysis of the structural equation model by PLS(Partial Least Squares) in order to find out the moderating effect of satisfaction of IT consulting on entrepreneurship. Findings According to the empirical analysis result, this study confirmed that the moderating effect of satisfaction of IT consulting on entrepreneurship, which increase the influence the effect of entrepreneurship on the corporate performance. However, the second order factor of enterprise ecosystem has no effect on the corporate performance. In addition, this study find out that the important role of IT consulting according to the change of business environment.

  • The notion of technological adoption such as Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) has been examined in various domains such as supply chain management, inventory management and health care. However, there are several unanswered questions surrounding how this technology is adopted in disaster management. This study attempts to explore the potential of RFID in disaster management. The notion of Task-Technology Fit (TTF) is deemed suitable for this purpose and thus used as the theoretical framework that is further validated by employing multiple case studies. The empirical findings indicate that there are six key factors influencing the decision to adopt RFID in disaster management. Some relate to aspects of RFID when it is put into practice, namely cost, compatibility, standardisation, implementation and locatability; while the other key factor relates to privacy and security aspect of information. It is hoped that the findings of this research will inform disaster management organizations to better plan the adoption of RFID for their operations.

  • Starting pressure of a supersonic ejector with a second-throat was investigated. In case of mixing chamber length longer than a critical length, starting pressure is in proportion to length of the mixing chamber. In this study, we assumed that the ejector starts when the primary supersonic flow reaches inlet of the second-throat and the distance of the supersonic flow traveling can be expressed by multiplying an empirical factor to the first diamond shock length of overexpanded flow. To calculate the overexpanded supersonic flow, a mixing model was employed to compute secondary flow pressure and the result was applied to back pressure condition of overexpanded flow calculation. In the result, for three cases of primary nozzle area ratio, we could get accurate model of predicting the starting pressure by selecting a suitable empirical factors around 3.
