치과위생사의 감정노동이 직무스트레스와 불안, 수면에 미치는 영향 (The effects of emotional labor of dental hygienist on the job stress, anxiety and sleep)

  • Objectives: The objective of this study was to identify the relationship between emotional labor and occupational stress of the dental hygienists, and the effects of emotional labor on their occupational stress and health problems including depression, anxiety and sleep. Methods: The survey was conducted using the questionnaires about dental hygienists' working in medical institutions in Busan, Gyeongsangnam-do from August 19th and October 7th, 2016. Total of 225 participants were selected for data analyses. Frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient analysis, and regression analysis were conducted using SPSS Windows ver. 21.0 program(SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL. USA). Results: The analysis of the factors affecting emotional labor, occupational stress, anxiety, and sleep by participants' characteristics showed that those with higher education level, work position and annual salary had higher emotional labor. In addition, participants who worked 5 days every other week and were responsible for patient consultation had higher emotional labor. The analysis of correlations among emotional labor occupational stress, anxiety, and sleep showed positive correlations between emotional experience and emotional expression, occupational stress and emotional expression, and anxiety and emotional expression. On the other hand, negative correlation was found between anxiety and emotional experience. Regression analysis was conducted to examine the effect of emotional labor on job stress. Emotional labor was a factor affecting job stress and anxiety. Conclusions: In order to improve emotional control and vulnerability to stress among dental hygienists, intra-organizational training opportunities and mental health care strategies are needed. Additional broad-based studies are required to identify the factors affecting the occupational stress and emotional labor and to develop relevant intervention measures.

텍스트마이닝을 활용한 감정노동 연구 동향 분석 (Research Trends on Emotional Labor in Korea using text mining)

  • 텍스트마이닝을 이용하여 연구동향을 파악하는 연구가 많은 분야에서 이루어지고 있으나 감정노동 분야에서는 텍스트마이닝을 사용하여 연구 동향을 파악한 연구는 없는 실정이다. 본 연구는 텍스트마이닝을 이용하여 2004년부터 2019년까지 한국연구재단의 한국학술지인용색인(KCI)에서 '감정 노동'이라는 주제어가 포함된 1,465건의 검색된 논문을 심층적으로 분석하여 감정노동 연구 동향을 파악하고자 한다. LDA분석으로 주제들을 추출하고, 토픽의 비중과 유사도를 확인하기 위해 IDM분석을 실시하였다. 이를 통해 유사도가 높은 토픽들의 의미유용성을 고려하여 토픽의 통합분석을 실시하였다. 연구토픽은 11개로 구분되며, 감정노동의 스트레스(12.2%), 감정노동과 사회적 지지(12.0%), 고객서비스 종사자의 감정노동(10.9%), 감정노동과 회복탄력성(10.2%), 감정노동전략(9.2%), 콜센터상담사의 감정노동(9.1%), 감정노동의 결과(9.0%), 감정노동과 직무소진(7.9%), 감성지능(7.1%), 예비돌봄서비스 종사자의 감정노동(6.6%), 감정노동과 조직문화(5.9%) 순의 비중으로 나타났다. 토픽모델링과 트렌드분석을 통하여 감정노동의 연구동향과 학문적 추이를 분석함으로써 감정노동 연구의 나아갈 방향을 제시하고자 하며 감정노동에 관한 실무적인 전략을 수립할 수 있기를 기대한다.

학교급식 직영 영양사의 감정노동이 감정고갈에 미치는 영향 : 자기효능감 수준에 따른 군집별 분석 (The Effects of Emotional Labor on Emotional Exhaustion of School Dietitians : Comparison on Level of Self-efficacy)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of emotional labor on emotional exhaustion among school dietitians according to the level of their self-efficacy. A survey was administered on 300 school dietitians during September 2012 and a total of 277 usable questionnaires were received. The data were analyzed by using the SPSS 18.0 package program. As a result of principal factor analysis for validity test, 26 variables were classified into one factor for self-efficacy, three factors for emotional labor and one factor for emotional exhaustion with a total variance percentage of 67.371%. Internal consistency was estimated by Cronbach's alpha, which yielded reliability coefficients of 0.922 (self-efficacy), 0.916 (emotional display), 0.806 (surface acting), 0.808 (deep acting) and 0.850 (emotional exhaustion). Subjects were segmented into 2 groups of 'high self-efficacy' (n = 159) and 'low self-efficacy' (n = 118) according to the cluster analysis for self-efficacy variables. The 'high self-efficacy' group exhibited higher education(p < 0.01) and served less lunch meals than other groups (p < 0.05). According to multiple regression analysis, the emotional display proved to be significantly and positively related to emotional exhaustion (${\beta}$=0.319, p<0.001) in high self-efficacy group. However both emotional display (${\beta}$=0.233, p<0.05) and surface acting (${\beta}$=0.262, p<0.01) were positively related to emotional exhaustion in the low self-efficacy group. These results suggest that school dietitians should be more aware of their self-efficacy to relieve the effects of the emotional labor on emotional exhaustion.

간호사의 감정노동과 관련된 변인의 메타분석 (A Meta-analysis of the Variables related to the Emotional Labor of Nurses)

  • Purpose: The study was done to verify the effect size of the variables related to the emotional labor of nurses. Methods: A total of 47 article on variables related to the emotional labor of nurses and published from 2006 to 2014 were used for the meta-analysis. Results: Variables with the largest effect size related to emotional labor were identified as the variables of work task, organization and individual characteristics in descending order of effect size. The sub-factors with the greatest effect size in the work task variable were exhaustion and work commitment, while for organization variables, intention to change jobs had the largest effect size. For individual characteristics, physical symptoms had the largest effect size. Conclusion: The results of this study are meaningful as the first study to integrate research results on variables related to the emotional labor of Korean nurses, providing practical data for the management of emotional labor.

아동의 정서지능과 관련변인들에 관한 연구 (A Study on Children's Emotional Intelligence and Related Variables)

  • This study investigated causality in children's emotional intelligence and sociodemographic variables, including family structure, number of siblings, home environment and peer group variables. Subjects were 301 elementary and junior high 11-and 13-year-olds and their mothers. Instruments were questionnaires from the Children's Emotional Intelligence Scale. Data analysis was by Pearson's r, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, multiple regression and path analysis. Results showed that the variables that affected emotional recognition directly were age, sex, mother's education, economic status of the home, number of siblings, and emotional support of peers. Variables that affected emotion regulation directly were sex, economic status of the home, emotional support of peers, and common activity. Variables that affected emotional facilitation of thinking directly were age, sex, emotional support of peers, and common activity.

Emotional analysis system for social media using sentiment dictionary with newly-created words

  • 감성분석은 비정형 텍스트에 나타나는 사람들의 의견이나 성향 등을 분석하는 오피니언 마이닝의 응용 분야이다. 최근에는 소셜미디어에 대한 감성분석이 주목받고 있으나 소셜미디어에는 신조어, 속어 등이 포함되어있어 기존 감성분석으로는 분석이 쉽지 않다. 본 연구에서는, 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해, 새로운 감성분석 시스템을 설계한다. 제안 시스템은 신조어, 속어 등이 포함된 소셜미디어에서도 긍/부정 뿐만아니라 다양한 감성분석이 가능하다. 먼저, 현재 소셜미디어에서 많이 나타나는 감성관련 신조어와 속어 등을 수집한다. 그리고 나서, 기존의 감성모델을 확장하고 이를 활용하여 감성단어에 감성정도를 수치화 한다. 또한 감성정도를 반영하여 새로운 감성단어 사전을 구축한다. 최종적으로, 신조어가 포함된 감성사전과 확장된 감성모델을 적용한 감성분석시스템을 설계한다.

패션 제품 판매원의 감정 노동과 자기효능감 및 탈진감이 고객지향적 판매 행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Fashion Product Salesperson's Emotional Labor, Self-Efficacy and Burnout on Customer-Oriented Selling Behavior)

  • The purposes of this study were to extract the effects of emotional labor, self-efficacy and burnout on customer-oriented selling behavior of salesperson by literature review and to examine the effect variables on customer-oriented selling behavior empirically. The questionnaire was administered to 400 salespersons who were selling clothes, cosmetics, shoes, leather products and accessories in department stores located in Kwang-ju city during August 18-24, 2006. Data collected from 307 salespersons were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan-test, correlation, regression analysis and path analysis. The results were as follows: First, Salesperson's emotional labor was composed of two factors; emotional labor toward the customer and emotional labor toward the organization. Second, Salesperson's emotional labor had negative significant influence on customer-oriented selling behavior. Specifically, the emotional labor toward the organization negatively influenced on customer-oriented selling behavior, but the emotional labor toward the customer positively influenced on customer-oriented selling behavior. Third, Salesperson's emotional labor positively influenced on burnout. Specifically, emotional labor toward organization significantly influenced on burnout, but emotional labor toward customer did not influenced on burnout. Fourth, Salesperson's self-efficacy positively influenced on customer-oriented selling behavior. Fifth. Salesperson's self-efficacy negatively influenced on burnout. Finally, Salesperson's burnout negatively influenced on comer-oriented selling behavior. The direct effect of salesperson's self-efficacy on customer-oriented selling behavior was large than the indirect effect of salesperson's self-efficacy mediate burnout. But the indirect effect of salesperson's emotional labor mediate burnout was large than the direct effect of salesperson's emotional labor on customer- oriented selling behavior.

TV 제품의 웹사이트에서 동영상의 감성요소가 브랜드 선호도에 미치는 영향력에 관한 실증적 연구 (An objective study on the impact of emotional elements of motion graphics on the brand preference in websites of TV products)

  • The goal of this study was to contemplate the impact of emotional elements of motion graphics on the brand preference in websites of TV products. To attain the goal, the emotional elements of motion graphics in websites of TV products, i.e., color, graphic image, typography, and layout, were set as independent variables and the brand preference as a dependent variable. The variables were analyzed objectively. Samples were collected from selected design students attending technical colleges. Among 282 samples collected, 15 were discarded as unfeasible and the remaining 267 were used in the analysis. Statistical analysis techniques used in the study included factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis; and 'SPSS Win. 11.5' was used to perform the statistical analysis. From the analysis, the following two results were obtained. First, it appeared that emotional elements of motion graphics appeared in websites of TV products exerted statistically significant impacts on the brand preference. Second, the element exerting the most significant impact on the brand preference among the emotional elements were appeared as 'graphic image' and 'color'. Thus, it was concluded that it is necessary to give priority in 'graphic image' and 'color' to enhance the brand preference.

  • Various studies have been conducted from the past to the present because stock price forecasts provide stability in the national economy and huge profits to investors. Recently, there have been many studies that suggest stock price prediction models using various input data such as macroeconomic indicators and emotional analysis. However, since each study was conducted individually, it is difficult to objectively compare each method, and studies on their impact on stock price prediction are still insufficient. In this paper, the effect of input data currently mainly used on the stock price is evaluated through the predicted value of the deep learning model and the error rate of the actual stock price. In addition, unlike most papers in emotional analysis, emotional analysis using the news body was conducted, and a method of supplementing the results of each emotional analysis is proposed through three emotional analysis models. Through experiments predicting Microsoft's revised closing price, the results of emotional analysis were found to be the most important factor in stock price prediction. Especially, when all of input data is used, error rate of ensembled sentiment analysis model is reduced by 58% compared to the baseline.

급식업체 조리종사자의 감성지능과 개인의 직무태도, 조직성과와의 관계분석 (Understanding Relationship among Emotional Intelligence, Job Attitude, and Organizational Performance in Kitchen Staff)

  • The objective of this study was analyze the relationship among emotional intelligence, job attitude (job satisfaction, organizational commitment, turnover intention), and organizational performance in kitchen staff. A survey collected data from foodservice employees (N=611). Statistical analyses were completed using SPSS Win (17.0) for descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, t-test, correlation analysis, and AMOS (7.0) for confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. The main results of this study were as follows. The four EI (Emotional Intelligence) dimensions significantly correlated with age. The mean of the job satisfaction score was 3.24. The organizational commitment score was 3.54. The organizational commitment score was higher for 'loyalty' factor than for 'sense of belongs' factor. The mean of organizational performance score was 3.61. The four EI(Emotional Intelligence) factors were significantly correlated with job satisfaction (organizational commitment, organizational performance, and turnover intension). Structural equation modeling found that emotional intelligence had positive effects on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and organizational performance, whereas job satisfaction and organizational performance had positive effects on organizational performance. Therefore, this study found that emotional intelligence had direct and indirect effects on organizational performance.
