The purpose of this study is to propose measure for the effects of perceived parenting attitudes and emotional problems on life satisfaction among adolescents in single parent families with the parent resource perspective. The study consisted of 230 first grade middle school students from single parent (living with either mother or father only) families in the 4th year panel (2013) of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS), National Youth Policy Institute (NYPI). All statistical data analyses were performed using SPSS version 21.0. The findings of this study are as follows. First, lower levels of depression and aggression were found among adolescents who perceived parenting attitude as more affectionate. On the contrary, higher levels of depression and aggression were detected among adolescents who perceived parenting attitude as more intrusiveness. The more the inconsistent parenting practices perceived by adolescents, the higher the degree of depression. Second, a higher level of life satisfaction was found among adolescent who were more likely to perceive positive parenting attitudes including monitoring, affection and reasoning. However, there was no significant correlation between negative parenting behavior and life satisfaction. Third, a lower level of life satisfaction was observed among adolescent who were more likely to perceive emotional problems such as depression, aggression and social withdrawal. Fourth, according to the analysis on the effects of parenting attitudes and emotional problems on life satisfaction, affection parenting of all positive parenting styles and depression among emotional problems had an impact on life satisfaction. The more affectionate a parent is with his/her children in parenting, the lower the degree of depression in adolescents, and the lower degree of depression in adolescents, the higher degree of life satisfaction was found among adolescents from single parent households.
This study is a descriptive research of investigating the correlation between new nurses' nursing performance, emotional intelligence, self-resiliency and core self-evaluation. The subjects were 114 new nurses working for less than 12 months at two different hospitals with over 800 beds located in Gyeonggi-do. Between July and November, this study collected the data measured by using a structured questionnaire survey for nursing performance, emotional intelligence, self-resiliency and core self-evaluation. As a result, it was found that there was a difference in the degree of nursing performance according to new nurses' education level, job satisfaction, and working position task satisfaction, and that the higher the emotional intelligence, self-resiliency and core self-evaluation were, the better the nursing performance was. As for emotional intelligence, education level, core self-evaluation and job satisfaction, it was found that they were variables to well predict the degree of nursing performance, and explained 33% of variance in nursing performance. Accordingly, it is necessary to provide actual field-adaptive training education including emotional intelligence and core self-evaluation other than nursing performance from new nurses' orientation in consideration of education degree and job satisfaction.
With a theoretical focus on the emotional experiences created via the interface, and the relationship between human beings and space, this study aims to corroborate and clarify the formation and verification of emotional interactions between human beings and space using body movements. It follows the method of Coining "Movement Phrases" through the analysis of body movements in the experimental space, thereby developing them into a complete scenario to produce the story of emotional expression. This study has hereby generated the following outcomes: First, the "pocket-type" exhibition displays a higher frequency of body movements than the "general" exhibition. It has close connections with emotional vocabularies: "Curious," "interesting," "warm," and "fun." The "general" exhibition records a relatively high frequency of emotional vocabularies like "natural," "efficient," and "free." Second, it is possible to analyze the story of space using a scenario, just like drama, based upon attributes and serial relationships. The "exposition" section reveals a high degree of "curiosity" and a large number of body movements, while the "development" section indicates high degree of "surprise" plus slight body movements. The "transition" sections manifest high "interest" and many body movements, and the "climax" section shows a high frequency of "surprise" and many changes in body movements. The "conclusion" section finally invokes images together with body movements.

Emotional analysis is an application of opinion mining that analyzes opinions and tendencies of people appearing in unstructured text. Recently, emotional analysis of social media has attracted attention, but social media contains newly-created words and slang, so it is not easy to analyze with existing emotional analysis. In this study, I design a new emotional analysis system to solve these problems. The proposed system is possible to analyze various emotions as well as positive and negative in social media including newly-created words and slang. First, I collect newly-created words and slang related to emotions that appear in social media. Then, expand the existing emotional model and use it to quantify the degree of sentiment in emotional words. Also, a new sentiment dictionary is constructed by reflecting the degree of sentiment. Finally, I design an emotional analysis system that applies an sentiment dictionary that includes newly-created words and an extended emotional model.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the Nature-friendly program on children's Emotional Intelligence. The subjects of this study were two groups( experimental group and non experimental group). Each group consists of 30(8 years olds) elementary school children in Seoul. Examination of Emotional Intelligence was applied to determine the homogeneity of 2 groups. Experimental group received 10 Nature-friendly programs for 15 weeks from July 2004 to October 2004. After Nature-friendly programs ended, post examination of Emotional Intelligence was applied. The result of this research was as follow. When Nature-friendly programs was applied, there were significant differences in the degree of emotional intelligence in the experimental group. Children who were involved in nature-friendly program increased in emotional intelligence. This study tested the relationship between mothers' beliefs about their children's emotions and the children's emotional regulation, using the mothers' positive and negative emotional expressiveness as mediators. The participants comprised 511 mothers with children whose ages ranged from 3 to 5 years, from 11 early childhood educational institutions located in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The survey data were analyzed using the SPSS 21.0, AMOS 21.0 and Mplus 6.12 programs. The main results were as follows. First, there were significant correlations among the three variables (i.e., mothers' beliefs about their children's emotions, the children's emotional regulation, and the mothers' emotional expressiveness). Second, both the mothers' beliefs about their children's emotions and the mothers' emotional expressiveness predicted in a significant manner the children's degree of emotional regulation. Third, the mediating effects of the mothers' emotional expressiveness were found to be significant. This indicated that the mothers' emotional expressiveness can be one means by which their children's emotional regulation can be increased, and this needs to be taken into account when designing educational and counseling programs.

This study attempts to provide basic data for the development of manpower maintenance programs by checking the degree of job stress and emotional burnout for nurses working in a university hospital and identifying factors affecting emotional burnout. Data were obtained through a structured questionnaire survey conducted on 187 nurses. The average score for job stress of nurses was 2.50 (range 1 to 4) and emotional burnout was 3.29 (range 1 to 5). The factors affecting emotional burnout were occupational climate, job demand, job insecurity, and lack of reward, which accounted for 44% of explanatory power. In order to reduce the emotional burnout of nurses, the management of medical institutions needs administrative and financial support. Further, it is necessary to improve the organizational culture regarding job assignment through job analysis, employment security, and a performance-based reward system.
