  • In this paper, we initiate the study of zero symmetric and constant parts of near-rings, and then apply these to self map near-rings. Next, we investigate that every near-ring can be embedded into some self map near-ring, and every zero symmetric near-ring can be embedded into some zero symmetric self map near-ring.

  • Conventional smart foam is not applicable to active noise control in a duct having flow. Thus, this paper presents a ring-type smart foam as an alternative. The ring-type smart foam consists of polyurethane acoustic foam of lining shape and PVDF film embedded in the foam. The embedded PVDF element acts as an actuator to reduce noise at lower frequencies and the foam absorbs noise at higher frequencies. A feedforward adaptive filtered-x LMS controller is used to minimize the signal from the error microphone. Experiments are executed to reduce broadband and tonal noise.

  • 본 연구에서는 시멘트풀 및 모르타르의 초기재령 변형률 거동을 측정할 수 있는 경제적인 매입형 링센서를 고안하였고, 이를 활용하여 시멘트 풀 및 모르타르의 응결시간을 편리하게 측정할 수 있는 방법을 제안하고자 하였다. W/C가 0.30, 0.35, 0.40, 0.45인 배합들에 대하여 실험 연구를 수행하였다. 기존의 비카침과 관입저항침에 의해 측정된 응결시간과 제안된 방법에 의한 응결시간을 비교하였다. 실험결과에 따르면 개발된 링센서는 초기의 팽창거동이 수축거동으로 변화하는 수축의 시작시점을 정확하게 측정할 수 있었다. 또한, 수축 시작 시점을 응결에 대한 합리적인 기준으로 간주할 수 있었으며, 이는 기존 방법의 초결시간과 유사한 것으로 평가되었다.

  • Compression ring is a part of LNG storage tank. The main function of the compression ring is connected the roof plate with concrete side wall. End of its one side is embedded in the side concrete wall and the other's connected with the roof plate by welding. It is designed to support stably for all the loads such as self weight of steel roof, inner pressure and concrete weight. We fulfill the FEM analysis to analysis the compression ring behavior during construction. Also we studied the effect of the change of design variables. On the basis of the results, we could introduce a more reasonable design method for compression ring.

링발진기를 이용한 CMOS 온도센서 설계 (Design of CMOS Temperature Sensor Using Ring Oscillator)

  • 링 발진기를 이용한 온도센서를 공급전압 1.5volts를 사용하여 0.18㎛ CMOS 공정으로 설계하였다. 온도센서는 온도가 변화하더라도 일정한 출력주파수를 가지는 링 발진기와 온도가 증가하면 출력주파수가 감소하는 링 발진기를 이용하여 설계하였다. 온도를 디지털 값으로 변환하기 위해 온도에 무관한 링 발진기의 출력 신호는 카운터의 클럭 신호로 사용하였으며, 온도에 따라 변화하는 링 발진기의 출력신호는 카운터의 인에이블 신호로 사용하였다. 설계된 회로의 HPICE 시뮬레이션 결과 회로의 동작온도가 -20℃에서 70℃까지 변화할 때 온도 에러는 -0.7℃에서 1.0℃ 이내였다.

  • In this paper is presented passive-active noise control in a duct using a ring-type smart foam. The ring-type smart foam is comprised of a PVDF film embedded in elastic noise control foam of lining shape. The embeddedPVDF element acts as an actuator to reduce noise at lower frequencies and the foam absorbs noise at higher frequencies. By implementing an adaptive filtered-x LMS algorithm, experiments are performed to reduce both tonal and broadband noise in a duct with one end closed and the other end open.

  • In this paper, it is discussed that active noise control in a circular duct using smart foam. Firstly, it is demonstrated that the potential of the conventional smart foam, proposed by Fuller, for active noise control in a duct. Conventional smart foam is not applicable to active noise control in a duct having flow. Thus, this paper presents a ring-type smart foam as an alternative. The ring-type smart foam consists of polyurethane acoustic foam of lining shape and PVDF film embedded in the foam.   • This paper presents a method for active noise control (ANC) in a duct by using a ring-tyPe smart foam. The ring-type smart foam consists of an elastic porous material of lining shape and a PVDF film embedded In the material. The PVDF element acts as a secondary sound source to reduce the noise. Active noise control using a ring-type smart foam is only effective locally because of the way to excite radially. To enlarge the quiet zone, the duct Is lined with additional acoustic foam between the smart foam and the error microphone. When cancellation path ks optimized by the LMS/RLS algorithm, the computation power is reduced while control performance Is maintained. The filtered-x LMS algorithm is used to minimize the error signal.

Binary Nature Revealed in Circumstellar Spiral-Shell Patterns

  • With the advent of high-resolution high-sensitivity observations, spiral patterns have been revealed around several asymptotic giant branch (AGB) stars. Such patterns can provide possible evidence for the existence of central binary stars embedded in outflowing circumstellar envelopes. It is, however, not generally recognized that the binary induced pattern, vertically extended from the orbital plane, exhibits a ring-like pattern with an inclined viewing angle. I will first review the binary-induced spiral-shell patterns on the AGB circumstellar envelopes with the effect of inclination angle with respect to the orbital plane, of which large inclination cases reveal incomplete ring-like patterns. I will describe a method of extracting such spiral-shell from the gas kinematics of an incomplete ring-like pattern to place constraints on the characteristics of the (unknown) central binary stars. This first success may open the possibility of connecting the ring-like patterns commonly found in the AGB circumstellar envelopes and in the outer parts of (pre-)planetary nebulae and pointing to the conceivable presence of central binary systems, which may give a clue for the onset of asymmetrical planetary nebulae.
