In practical wireless relay communication systems, non-destination nodes are assumed to be idle not receiving signals while the relay sends messages to a particular destination node, which results in reduced bandwidth efficiency. To improve the bandwidth efficiency, we relax the idle assumption of non-destination nodes and assume that non-destination nodes may receive signals from sources. We note that the message relayed to a particular node in such a system gives rise to interference to other nodes. To study such a more general relay system, we consider, in this paper, a relay system in which the relay first listens to the source, then routes the source message to the destination, and finally produces interference to the destination in sending messages for other systems. We obtain capacity upper and lower bounds and study the optimal method to deal with the interference as well as the optimal routing schemes. From analytic results obtained, we find the conditions on which the direct transmission provides higher transmission rate. Next, we find the conditions, by numerical evaluation of the theoretical results, on which it is better for the destination to cancel and decode the interference. Also we find the optimal source power allocation scheme that achieves the lower bound depending on various channel conditions. We believe that the results provided in this paper will provide useful insights to system designers in strategically choosing the optimal routing algorithms depending on the channel conditions.

Ambient-light sensor system, which changes the brightness of a display as ambient light change, was studied to reduce the power consumption of the mobile applications such as note PC, tablet PC and smart phone. The ambient-light sensor system should be integrated on a display panel to improve the complexity and cost of mobile applications, so the ambient-light sensor and readout circuit was integrated on a display panel using low-temperature poly-silicon thin film transistors (LTPS-TFT). We proposed the new compensation method to correct the panel-to-panel variation of the ambient-light sensors, without additional equipment. We designed and investigated the new readout circuit with the proposed compensation method and the analog-to-digital converter for the final digital output of ambient light. The readout circuit has very simple structure and control timing to be integrated with LTPS-TFT, and the input luminance ranges from 10 to 10,000 lux. The readout rate is 100 Hz, and maximum differential non-uniformity with 20 levels of the final output below 0.5 LSB.
The number of applications of small embedded systems such as PDAs, electronic note books, etc. based on Kinux, have increased. Due to the monolithic characteristic of Linux kernel, it is not suitable to satisfy the various kinds of embedded application requirement. To assist the shortcoming of monolithic kernel, we implement uJFFS 113th file system as an application program process which runs in user space. This solution consists of a file system and a flash device driver, and makes Linux kernel smaller by separating the file system from the kernel. uJFFS consists of ujffs_fs that plays a part of file system and ujffs_drv that controls a flash device. Which provides the same user interface as Linux does. A Device driver for the physical device is implemented in user pace, which prevents kernel failures from file system errors. So uJFFS can increase stability of the system.

In this study, it was investigated about optical simulation in high brightness and high uniformity general lighting using glass light guide plate. And we adopt edge-light emission type light plate. Edge-light type lighting has been used LCD application, especially note PC or smart phone backlight unit. Because it had the good properties such as slim shape and light weight. We thought this type was suitable for general lighting application such as wall attached type or ceiling mount type. But many of edge-light type lighting had problems. It called slanted output light rays. That was main key parameter how could control the direction of output light rays. We investigated the solution of this problems, using ray tracing method, we recognized the major fact of the solution relied on the geometric structure of diffusing dot shape. We set the conditions of aspect ratio in diffusing dot shape such as 0.5 to 1. And, at first, we designed diffusing dots shape based on the results of optical simulation and made specimen. as above condition, and acquired good result in confirming dots shape such as the value of the output rays's peak angle was around 75 degrees. And good light distribution characteristics were measured by slated spectro-radiometer. It was shown that the effective ways of designing light distribution characteristics using optical simulation such as ray tracing linear method for making general lighting using glass light guide plate.

For this purpose it is advisable the parties to insert following provisions in their contract. "This contract shall be governed by the CISG, supplemented when necessary by the UNIDROIT Principles 2004" Thus success in practice of the UNIDROIT Principles over the last then years has surpassed the most optimistic expectations. It is hoped that the 2004 Edition of the UNIDROIT Principles will be just as favorably received by legislators, business persons, lawyers, arbitrators and judges and become even better known and more widely used throughout the World.
The purpose of this study aims to analyse the implications of volume contract clause with Rotterdam Rules. The Hague-Visby Rules have been in force this jurisdiction for over 30 years. In those three decades they have performed valiant service, both for the development of maritime law in this country and for the countless parties from around the world who have chosen courts and arbitral tribunals in London for the resolution of disputes arising under bills of lading or under charterparties incorporating the Hague-Visby Rules. While the Hague-Visby Rules apply only to bills of lading or any other similar documents of title and hence all other contracts of carriage are not subject to the current regime, this is not the case for the Rotterdam Rules which, broadly speaking, apply to contracts of carriage whether or not a shipping document or electronic transport record is issued. To preserve freedom of contract where necessary, however, a number of significant concessions were made and Article 80 represents one of the most controversial: that of volume contracts. However, the provision lends itself to abuse under each one of the elements as there is no minimum quantity, period of time or frequency and the minimum number of shipments is clearly just two. This means that important contracts of affreighment concluded pursuant to, for example, oil supply agreements have the same right to be excluded from the scope of application of the Rotterdam Rules. The fact that a volume contract may incorporate by reference the carrier's public schedule of services and the transport document or other similar documents as terms of the contract would make a carefully drafted booking note for consecutive shipments a potential volume contract as well.
The final aim of the present study is to build a system of converting a color image into musical elements based on a synesthetic perception, emulating human synesthetic skills, which make it possible to associate a color image with a specific sound. This can be done on the basis of the similarities between physical frequency information of both light and sound. As a first step, an input true color image is converted into hue, saturation, and intensity domains based on a color model conversion theory. In the next step, musical elements including note, octave, loudness, and duration are extracted from each domain of the HSI color model. A fundamental frequency (F0) is then extracted from both hue and intensity histograms. The loudness and duration are extracted from both intensity and saturation histograms, respectively. In experiments, the proposed system on the conversion of a color image into musical elements was implemented using standard C and Microsoft Visual C++(ver. 6.0). Through the proposed system, the extracted musical elements were synthesized to finally generate a sound source in a WAV file format. The simulation results revealed that the musical elements, which were extracted from an input RGB color image, reflected in its output sound signals.

In this paper, we focus on the potential of dual polarized antennas in mobile system. thus, this paper designs exact dual polarized channel with Spatial Channel Model (SCM) and investigates the performance for certain environment. Using proposed the channel model; we know estimates of the channel capacity as a function of cross polarization discrimination (XPD) and spatial fading correlation. It is important that the MIMO channel matrix consists of Kronecker product dividable spatial and polarized channel. Through the channel characteristics, we propose an algorithm for the adaptation of transmit antenna configuration to time varying propagation environments. The optimal active transmit antenna subset is determined with equal power allocated to the active transmit antennas, assuming no feedback information on types of the selected antennas. We first consider a heuristic decision strategy in which the optimal active transmit antenna subset and its system capacity are determined such that the transmission data rate is maximized among all possible types. This paper then proposes singular values decision procedure consisting of Kronecker product with spatial and polarize channel. This method of singular value decision, which the first channel environments is determined using singular values of spatial channel part which is made of environment parameters and distance between antennas. level of correlation. Then we will select antenna which have various polarization type. After spatial channel structure is decided, we contact polarization types which have considerable cases It is note that the proposed algorithms and analysis of dual polarized channel using SCM (Spatial Channel Model) optimize channel capacity and reduce the number of transmit antenna selection compare to heuristic method which has considerable 100 cases.

We investigated the atomic and electronic properties of graphene grown by Pd silicidation and intercalation using LEED, STM, and ARPES. Pd was deposited on the 6H-SiC(0001) surface at RT. The formation of Pd silicide gives rise to breaking of Si-C bonds of the SiC crystal, which enables to release C atoms at low temperature. The C atoms are transformed into graphene from $860^{\circ}C$ according to the LEED patterns as a function of annealing temperature. Even though the graphene spots were observed in the LEED pattern and the Fourier transformed STM images after annealing at $870^{\circ}C$, the topography images showed various superstructures so that graphene is covered with Pd silicide residue. After annealing at $950^{\circ}C$, monolayer graphene was revealed at the surface. The growth of graphene is not limited by surface obstacles such as steps and defects. In addition, we observed that six protrusions consisting of the honeycomb network of graphene has same intensity meaning non-broken AB-symmetry of graphene. The ARPES results in the vicinity of K point showed the non-doped linear ${\pi}$ band structure indicating monolayer graphene decoupled from the SiC substrate electronically. Note that the charge neutrality of graphene grown by Pd silicidation and intercalation was sustained regardless of annealing temperature in contrast with quasi-free- standing graphene induced by H and Au intercalation. Further annealing above $1,000^{\circ}C$ accelerates sublimation of the Pd silicide layer underneath graphene. This results in appearance of the $(6r3x6r3)R30^{\circ}$ structure and dissolution of the ${\pi}$ bands for quasi-free-standing graphene.
