  • e-Business 환경이 다양화되고 활성화되면서, 전자적으로 교환되는 문서의 종류와 형태가 다양해지고 있다. 다양한 문서 형태를 지원해야 하는 요구사항이 대두되고 이를 충족하기 위해 하나 이상의 문서 변환 시스템을 도입하여 사용하고 있다. 기존의 문서 변환 시스템은 하나 또는 두 가지의 문서 형태만을 지원함으로 인해, 동시에 다양한 문서 형태를 지원할 수 없는 단점이 존재하였다. 또한 단일 형태의 문서 변환만을 지원하고 있어 문서 형태별 변환 기능을 지원할 수 없고 파싱된 문서 요소와 비즈니스 로직이 혼합되어 순차적으로 처리됨으로써, 처리가 완료되기 전까지 하나의 트랜잭션으로 처리되고 있다. 변환 절차가 하나의 트랜잭션 내에서 처리됨으로 인해 정보의 재사용성이나 효율적으로 시스템 자원을 사용할 수 없었다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 문서 형태별 비즈니스 로직을 포함하는 전자문서변환 시스템을 도메인 모델방식 개념을 기반으로 설계, 구현함으로써 개선 가능한 시스템을 제안하고자 한다. 본 논문은 제안 시스템을 통해 기능별로 모듈화가 가능하게 되고 트랜잭션도 단계별로 분리하여, 처리 복잡성을 해결할 뿐 아니라, SOA(Service Oriented Architecture)기반의 진보된 개념을 쉽게 적용 가능한 확장성을 갖추는데 그 의의가 있다.

  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) has been used for business-to-business communication for almost a quarter of a century. Initial efforts Involved inter-company agreements on how to exchange commercial data, initially as information stored on tape and later as messages sent over dedicated data lines. To avoid having to use different protocols to move data between different companies, various Industry groups identified sets of data that could form the basis of individual agreements. The industry groups also sought to agree the format in which fields in such data sets were interchange so that a company only needed to develop one methodology for decoding information received without resource to human intervention. The XML/EDI specific components are built on top of existing standards for transmitting and processing XML-encoded data. These standards define shared features such as: the standard Internet file storage/naming and data transport mechanisms, file and message transfer formats, the syntax of data coded in XML, the way in which XML files can be validated by an XML parser or document object model generator, the way in which XSL presentation and data evaluation scripts can be associated with parsed objects, the use of rules and data management robots to manage application and repository interfaces.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the materials deposit policies and service policies of overseas collaborative repositories and provide practical data that can be referred to the management of the collaborative repository in Korea. For this purpose, this study tried to analyzed websites of 7 collaborative repositories and related data. Materials deposit policies were focused on duplicate materials, criteria of materials to be accepted, ownership and withdrawal and service policies were focused on on-site services and off-site services including circulation and document delivery service(electronic copy and photocopy). The results of this study can be used as practical data for the establishment of guidelines for collaborative repository in Korea.

  • Information scientists need not to answer whether future libraries will be a digital library or not, but to answer how they are structured and served effectively to users currently. 'The library with walls' or 'the library as place' need to be existed in the future, but 'digital library without the wall' or 'virtual library' will need to be studied continuously. This study has tried to reveal the existing problems of digital libraries and their future environment after considering the ambiguous concepts of various types of electronic libraries and their efforts for library automation, and the changed information retrieval circumstances during the last 30 to 40 years through a qualitative document study. As a result, the major findings and suggestions are prepared. The library of the future will be a part of local and national cooperative systems, be filled with the intelligent use of old and new technologies, and be able to su n.0, pport both a place with extensive collections and convenient, easy, & free access to remote intellectual resources. Also, the information storage and retrieval (ISAR) to the future library system would easily provide users with any types of data retrieval system by anybody rather than by an expert or a specialist, so called 'A&E retrieval' in the coming 21th century. It will be highly possible that the future society changes to the information marketplace whose data may be recognized as an intangible assets.

  • Many Korean financial firms have built knowledge management systems, however, most of the systems have fragmentary ideas or suggestions. This study proposes the model of ontology-based knowledge repository through which one could integrate knowledge for business use in the BPM environments. The knowledge includes implicit and explicit knowledge. library materials, documents, and information for experts as well. In order to get basic ideas for this model, case studies utilized interviews and surveys were conducted targeting at four Korean banks' knowledge managers, librarians and thirty staffs.

Dynamic Generation of SMIL based Multimedia Documents on the Web (웹에서 SMIL 기반 멀티미디어 문서의 동적 생성)

  • In this paper, we suggest a method for dynamic generation of SMIL documents by user profiles on the web. Generated multimedia documents are based on the SMIL (Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language) that are recommended by the W3C. The method generates automatically XSLT documents according to user profiles. SMIL documents are produced on real-time by integration of the XSLT documents and the XML documents that are made already. Most of conventional web-based documents are based on the HTML that is difficult to support reusability of documents are relation among multimedia abject. However, the suggested method is based on the XML, and so it supports reusability of documents and produces efficiently various SMIL-based multimedia documents. Application for the suggested method are as follows; Electronic commerce, tele-lecture, a web-based document editing, etc.

A Digital Multisignature Scheme Suitable for Transmission to Multi-destination by EDI Message (EDI 메시지 동보 전송에 적합한 디지탈 다중 서명 방법)

  • As the EDI message is the commercial electronic document having legal binding forces, it is necessary to use the method of digital signature for the message integrity and identification between trading partners. This research proposes a new digital multisignature scheme suitable for transmission to multi-destination of the EDI message. The proposed scheme is based on Fiat-Shamir signature scheme and can perform the message authentication suitable for the EDI message. It can verify the message forged by a hash function attack from intruder or intruder. It also can perform the digital signature using smaller hash value than that of Fiat-Shamir signature scheme. When the EDI message is transmitted to multi-destination, all designated receivers can perform the digital signature faster and safer.

  • With the rapid development of e-commerce, many customers can now express their opinion on various kinds of product at discussion groups, merchant sites, social networks, etc. Discerning a consensus opinion about a product sold online is difficult due to more and more reviews become available on the internet. Opinion Mining, also known as Sentiment analysis, is the task of automatically detecting and understanding the sentimental expressions about a product from customer textual reviews. Recently, researchers have proposed various approaches for evaluation in sentiment mining by applying several techniques for document, sentence and aspect level. Aspect-based sentiment analysis is getting widely interesting of researchers; however, more complex algorithms are needed to address this issue precisely with larger corpora. This paper introduces an approach of knowledge representation for the task of analyzing product aspect rating. We focus on how to form the nature of sentiment representation from textual opinion by utilizing the representation learning methods which include word embedding and compositional vector models. Our experiment is performed on a dataset of reviews from electronic domain and the obtained result show that the proposed system achieved outstanding methods in previous studies.

CALS Implementation Policy for Information-based Management of Small and Medium Companies (중소기업의 정보화를 위한 CALS 도입 정책 방안)

  • This study aims to suggest CALS implementation strategies and policies for information-based management of small and medium companies in Korea. At the turning point from traditional document-based management to recent digital-based one, it is well known that implementation of CALS concept is crucial for advancing business management of small and medium enterprises In order to attack the aim, this paper critically analyzes the empirical difficulties and obstacles of the current information-based management of small and medium companies in Korea. On the basis of the above analysis, this paper suggests the strategic plans and policies of CALS implementation for small and medium enterprises in Korea as follows. First, government should provide the supporting policies and proper system so that the large enterprise can be linked with small and medium companies for sharing necessary information. Second, similar enterprises should be integrated on the basis of information and automation evaluation. Third, implementation strategies and plans should be advanced on the basis of the informationalized phases with respect to the technology level of small and medium enterprises. For more efficient CALS implementation, this paper also proposes the following subsidiary policies. First, it is substantially important to publicize the nation-wide spreading of CALS mind. Second, it is strongly recommended to educate and train CALS specialist on a consistant basis. Third, government should support the enterprises by providing sufficient fund for CALS implementation. Fourth, the ideal CALS implementation models for small and medium enterprises should be developed. Fifth, the consulting and training program for CALS implementation should be established through ECRC (Electronic Commerce Resource Center). Clinical Information Interchange System using HL7-CDA

  • In highly developed society, information and communication technologies are widely used for better medical services. These information and communication technologies should be more and more acceptable in all hospitals for exchange medical records. EMR becomes more convenient than the previously used paper charts. It will be able to record medical institutions every time and dual treatment. Each is different specifications for each medical institution to use the program or document to exchange it. The personal clinic records still does not exchange well. To solve this gap between medical alienation, this paper describes the concepts of HL7-CDA and proposes types of telemedicine system. To resolve time and space constraints, new form of treatment methods presents in future directions after described about related systems. CDA enables electronic medical records to the each medical center and gradually expanded by exchanging the patient's medical records. This paper is using XML-based CDA documents as a hierarchical for medical information exchange standards compliant HL7-CDA documents. It could be possible currently used structural variety of multimedia data. Thus It is able to send and receive HL7-CDA-based medical information and clinical information to identify the medical institutions of medical information with interchange system design and building standards, and through mutual exchange of clinical information.
