  • In this paper, XML form generator is designed and implemented on the basis of e-business's DTD (Document Type Definition) document. Rapid evolving for internet services and information infrastructure give many impacts on the e-business, it need to make a new kinds of web-based or electronic-based document formats for e-business transaction trading. In current situations, there are many kinds of document formats on conventional business documents for each companies. And, it has many problems on the aspects of the document reusability and cost to support interoperability between documents for the trading partners. To solve this interoperability of documents, the constructed XML form generator is changing XML form document into HTML (HyperText Markup Language) based web document by XSLT. And it also generates XML business message validating for e-Business DTD by user Inputs.

  • A letter of credit is the best settlement among various means of payments until now. A letter of credit plays very important roles in rational and smooth international trade. Letter of credit is usually used in international trade. But many people have to prepare a lot of transport documents in order to transact with L/C. Therefore, the transactions will be happened to delay in international trade very often. Owing to the EDI, international trade will be materialized with electronic business of E-commerce. If we transact with the electronic documents, it will be reduced the time very much in international trade. Generally speaking, all relating parties transact with L/C complying with UCP, but there are no ruling articles about electronic documents in UCP. If all parties want to transact with electronic documents in global business, UCP has to contain the electronic provisions. So, ICC published eUCP on 2002. The purpose of the study was to analyze original electronic papers and provisions through foreign precedents in UCP and eUCP. If we want to exchange the electronic document, the UCP provisions about electronic documents would be revised as follows: UCP provision 20(b) would be revised, “Unless otherwise stipulated in the credit, banks have to accept as an original documents, a documents produced or appearing to have been produced: (i)by reprographic, automated or computerized systems (ii)as carbon copies,; provided that it is marked as original and, where necessary, appears to be signed. A document may be signed by handwriting, by facsimile signature, by perforated signature by symbol, or by any other mechanical or electronic method of authentication."

  • The purpose of this study aims to analyse the key differences of the sea waybill and electronic B/L in the international transport documents. Sea waybills look remarkably like ordinary bills of lading. Indeed, in two important ways, they are just like bills of lading: the front of the document will near a description of the quantity and apparent condition of the goods; and the back of the document provides evidence of the terms of the contract of carriage. They differ from bills of lading in that, far from indicating that the goods described are deliverable to the order of the shipper or of the consignee, they will make it explicit that the goods are deliverable only to the consignee. Again, different carries will do thai in a variety of ways. For example, the document may call itself non-negotiable, omitting the word order from the consignee box on the front of the document, and stating explicitly that the goods will be deliverable to the consignee or his authorised representative on proper proof of identity and authorisation. The Hague-Visby Rules and Hamburg Rules give no guidance as to any right to instruct the carrier in respect of goods while they are in transit. However, in applying Article 50 of the Rotterdam Rules, in particular when applying it in the context of seawaybills, straight bills of lading or ship's delivery orders, regard would need to be had to preserve the shipper's rights under any of those three documents even after the buyer of goods covered by them has acquired rights of its own. And, the right of control is defined at Article 1.12 of the Rotterdam Rules. The right to give instruction is further limited by the terms of Article 50.1 to three particular types of instruction in respect of the goods, relating broadly to the goods, their delivery en route, and the identity of the consignee. And, the CMI formulated the CMI Uniform Rules for Sea Waybills for voluntary incorporation into any contract of carriage covered by such a document. Recognising that neither the Hague nor the Hague-Visby Rules are applicable to sea waybills, the CMI Rules provide that a contract of carriage covered by a waybill shall be governed by whichever international or national law, if any, would have been compulsorily applicable if the contract had in fact been covered by a bill of lading or similar document of title.

  • In an era of very rapid technological change, standardization organizations have been confronted with the problem that they should develop more new and more complex standards as strategic tools for enforcement of competitive power in shorter time according to the reduction of Life Cycle of products and the increase in the number of standards and their complexity. To cope with this challenge, worldwide Standardization Bodies now implement and operate their own EDH (Electronic Document Handling) system which is electronic means applied to development and delivery of standards based on their standardization workflow. In this paper, we analyze the EDH guidelines and methods of major Standardization Bodies, International bodies such as ITU-T, ISO/IEC JTC1, Regional bodies such as ETSI, Committee T1 of USA and TTA (Telecommunications Technology Association) of Korea. Finally, we discuss future EDH policy and suggest architecture of Advanced Standards Information System.

  • We analyze risks andd present the requirements of digital multisignature in electronic contract systems where several persons contract a digital document electronically. We also apply a few digital multisignature schemes that have been developed so far, to the electronic contract system and propose a new digital multisignature scheme based on the Fiat-Shamir scheme. We investigate how these schemes satisfy with the requirements and evaluate their efficiency in terms of processing speed. communication complexity, and message length Owing to the high processing speed and the high degree of satisfaction to the requirements, the proposed scheme is suitable for electronic contract systems.

  • Locally Likely Arrangement Hashing (LLAH) is a method that describes image features based on the geometry between their neighbors. Thus, it has been preferred to implement augmented reality on poorly-textured objects such as text documents. However, LLAH strongly requires that image features be detected with high repeatability and located at a distance from one another. To fulfill the requirement for text document, this paper proposes a method that facilitates the word detection in infrared (IR) range by adjusting the IR-reflectance of words. Specifically, the words are printed out with two different black inks: one is using the K(carbon black) ink only, the other is mixing the C(cyan), M(magenta), Y(yellow) inks. Since only the words printed out with the K ink is visible in IR range, a part of words are selected in advance to be used as features and printed out the K ink. The selected words can be robustly detected with high repeatability in IR range and this enables to implement augmented reality on text documents with high fidelity. The validity of the proposed method was verified through experiments.

  • There are many kinds of applications or software components to manage files in a local computer, but it is very difficult to organize personal documents in a consistent way and to search expected ones in a precise way. In this paper, we present our development of a document management and retrieval tool, which is named Ontalk. Our system provides a semi-automatic metadata generator and an ontology-based search engine for electronic documents. Ontalk can create and import various ontologies in RDFS or OWL for describing the metadata. Our system that is built upon.NET technology is easily communicated with or flexibly plugged into many different programs.

  • SGML(Standard Generalized Markup Language) and its application to full-text database including a table, a figure and a picture are explained. A structure of SGML based full-text database Is defined by DTD(document type definition) written in SGML, and full-text itself is described with generalized markup depending on DTD. This article explains how to represent a document structure : a hierarchical structure like a chapter, a section, or a paragraph, or non-hierarchical(referencial) structure like a note, a table, a figure or a picture. Merits of SGML, electronic publishing, a retrieval system or hypertext and SGML tools are also described.
