An Experimental Study on the Effects of Operating Variables on the Cooling and Heating Performance of Geothermal Heat Pump (지열 히트펌프에서 운전변수가 냉난방 성능에 미치는 영향에 대한 실험연구)

  • In this research, an experimental study is performed to investigate the effects of system operating variables on the cooling and heating characteristics of heat pump system using geothermal heat source and carbon dioxide as a refrigerant. System variables analyzed include compressor frequency, electronic expansion valve opening, refrigerant charge, secondary fluid temperature and flow rate. Results show that optimum refrigerant charge and electronic expansion valve opening position exist at the maximum point of COP curve, and both cooling and heating capacity increase but COPs decrease with the increase of compressor frequency. The change of a secondary fluid temperature leads to variation of overheat area and enthalpy difference in the evaporator and gas cooler. which again results in considerable variations of cooling and heating capacity and COP. In the case of effects of secondary water fluid flow rate, both cooling capacity and COP increase with the increase of secondary flow in evaporator or gas cooler, whereas heating capacity and COP decrease with the increase of flow rate in gas cooler.

Design of Heating Supply System for Facility House using Industrial Chimney Waste Heat (산업용 굴뚝 폐열을 활용한 시설하우스 난방 공급 시스템 설계)

  • A large amount of fuel is required for heating the agricultural facility house, and many farmhouses are experiencing the burden of heating costs due to the recent increase in fuel prices. This paper proposes a supply system that supports heating of agricultural facility houses located nearby by utilizing industrial chimney waste heat, and analyzes the application and effect of a heating cost reduction model. The system was designed based on the chimney waste heat system, and the facility house heating cost reduction model was applied and effect analysis was performed based on the proposed model. It was confirmed that the high-temperature waste heat from the chimney can be used to supply heating to facility houses in nearby farms. If heating is supplied to large-scale facility houses near industrial complexes, it is expected to contribute to improve productivity and competitiveness of domestic farms.

  • This machine is a high-vacuum exhaust sealing device which makes the inside of PDP element in high vacuum state, blows inactive gases into it and finally seals it. This machine consists of vacuuming parts, heating parts and exhausting parts. Applying the energy saving technology, this machine improves the temperature uniformity of vacuuming and heating parts.

  • A single-switch parallel resonant converter for induction heating is implemented. The circuit consists of an input LC-filter, a bridge rectifier, and a controlled power switch. The switch operates in soft commutation mode and serves as a high frequency generator. The output power is controlled via the switching frequency. A steady state analysis of the converter operation is presented. A closed-loop circuit model is also presented, and the experimental results are compared with the simulation results.

  • A soldering process with longitudinal ultrasonic is conducted in this work using the Au bump and substrate. Localized heating of the solder is achieved and the stirring action due to the ultrasonic is found to influence the bond strength and microstructure of the eutectic solder The acceptable bonding condition is determined from the tensile strength. Since the multiple bonds can be formed simultaneously with localized heating, the proposed ultrasonic soldering method appears to be applicable to the high-density electronic package.

  • Magnesium alloy has been known as lightweight material in automobile and electronic industry with aluminum alloy, titanium alloy and plastic material. Friction welding is useful to join various metals and nonferrous metals that are difficult to join by such as gas welding, resistance welding and electronic beam welding. In this study, friction joining was performed to investigate mechanical properties of Mg alloy with 20mm diameter solid bar. Also the optimal joining conditions for its application were determined on the basis of tensile test, and hardness survey. The joining parameters were chosen as heating pressure, heating time, upsetting pressure, and upsetting time. Heating and upsetting pressure were executed under the range of 10~40MPa and 20~80MPa, respectively. From the experimental results, optimal joining conditions were determined as follows; rotating speed=2000rpm, heating pressure=35MPa, upsetting pressure=70MPa, heating time=1sec, upsetting time=5sec. Also the hardness of jointed boundary showed as HV50 which was similar to that of base metal at the optimal condition, and it was supposed that zone of HAZ was 8mm. Finally two materials were strongly mixed at interface part to show a well-combined microstructure without particle growth or any defect.

  • 본 연구에서는 NSOM(Near-field Scanning Optical Microscope)에서 정밀도의 중요한 요소로 작용하는 100 ~ 200nm Scale의 Optical aperture를 제작하기 위해 Optical Fiber를 이용하여 $CO_2$ Laser Heating Pulling Method에 의하여 제작하고자 한다. Heating Pulling Method 에서 Fiber Tip의 정밀도 및 제작 재현성에 영향을 미치는 중요한 기존의 여러 Fiber Tip 구현방법 중 본 연구에서는 Pulse Width[$PW_{(SEC)}$] 와 Pulling Force 두 요소에 있어서 상호관계를 연구하였으며, 연구 결과 두 변수간의 최적화된 파라미터인 PW 0.07 ~ $0.10_{(SEC)}$ 와 Pulling force 0.2 ~ 0.81b의 구간에서 error율이 최소화되는 범위를 찾을 수 있었고, 그 결과 최적의 상태는 $0.08_{(SEC)}$와 0.21b에서 팁들은 첨예화 되었고 95% 이상의 재현성 및 신뢰성을 얻을 수 있었다.

A Study on the Development of Induction Heating Mass Production System for Moisture Removal of Secondary Battery (이차전지 수분 제거용 유도가열 양산 시스템 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Abstract: In this study, an induction heating system using resonance is developed to remove remaining moisture and contaminations which could be generated during fabricating secondary batteries. This system is composed of power supply and induction coil. Power supply needs an oscillator, zero crossing detection, frequency tracking function, and induction coil needs a dummy coil to obtain a uniform temperature distribution. It is very important to obtain a uniform heating temperature distribution of battery cell case in the induction heating system before pouring electrolyte into battery cell. Experimental results show a temperature distribution deviation of below 1℃ in the external position of battery cell cases. As well, the temperature of battery cell itself shows distribution of 40℃±3℃.

  • Welding preheating means that the surface of the base material to which the metal is welded before the main welding is heated to a constant temperature. It prevents the cracks of the adjacent influences such as reduction of material hardening degree by controlling the cooling rate, suppression of segregation of impurities, prevention of thermal deformation, and moisture removal. For this reason, it is a necessary operation for high quality welding. Induction heating is an efficient heating method that converts electric energy into heat energy by applying electromagnetic induction phenomenon. Compared with combustion heat generated by gas and liquid, it is clean, stable, and economical as well as rapid heating. It can be heated regardless of the shape, depth and material of the heating body by modifying the shape of the frequency and the coil with a simple structure. In this paper, we implemented a low frequency welding preheating system using induction heating technique and observed the temperature changes of coil resistance, inductance and automotive transmission parts according to the height of each transmission in winding coil for three kinds of automotive transmission parts. We confirmed that the change of current is a very important factor in the low frequency heating.

  • In recent years, research and development has been carried out in order to increase the economical efficiency and stability in terms of efficient use of energy for the heating apparatus. Especially, technology development for high performance and new functional materials is actively being carried out. This paper focuses on the development of exothermic products with excellent energy transfer characteristics. The heating element used for bedding or mattress uses a heating wire. Since the heating wire is thin, the distribution of heat is concentrated only around the heating wire,. In addition, electromagnetic induction is harmful to the human body and energy consumption is high. Therefore, it is aimed to develop a planar heating panel using SiC ceramics which can radiate far-infrared rays and anions to be harmless to the human body, but also has excellent heat conduction to enhance energy efficiency.
