BST계 세라믹 콘덴서의 전기적 특성 분석 (Analysis on Electrical Properties of BST Based Ceramic Condenser)

  • This paper was presented to BaTiO$_3$-SrTiO$_3$(BST) ceramic capacitor in using high voltage. Structural and electrical properties of BST ceramic capacitor were researched in accordance with SrTiO$_3$ contents. As the result of investigation, the BST1 ceramic capacitor was showed to stable dielectric properties between 25 and 85[$^{\circ}C$]. According as frequency was increased, relative permittivity was decreased because inner spontaneous polarizations were decreased. As supplied voltage was increased, relative permittivity of specimen was varied in 3.04 ~3.98[%].

  • In this paper, we have investigated the physical properties and electrical conduction properties of polyethylene terephthalate film due to temperature variation, and the measurement of volume resistivity used to highmegohm meter is measured from 1 to 10 minutes when the specimen applied the voltage accroding to the step voltage appling method. From FT-IR spectrum as an analysis of physical properties, the strong absorption in wavenumbers $1019[cm^{-1}]$, $1266[cm^{-1}]$ and $1752[cm^{-1}]$ observed by the C=O and benzene ring. From the analysis of DSC, the crystalline melting points of the specimen observed in the temperature $80[^{\circ}C]$ and $263[^{\circ}C]$, respectively.

  • It is well known that Grain-oriented electrical steel sheets have two dimensional magnetic properties according to the direction of exciting field such as non-linear phase difference between magnetic flux density and magnetic field intensity vectors, different iron loss and permeability even when an alternating magnetic field is applied. The measurement and application of the two dimensional magnetic properties of the Grain-oriented electrical steel sheets, therefore, are very important for the design and precise performance analysis of electric machines made of them. As the direction of exciting field changes, in this paper, the two dimensional magnetic properties of a Grain-oriented electrical steel sheet, i.e., non-linear B-H curves, phase difference between B and H, and iron loss characteristics, are measured using SST(Single Sheet Tester) which has two axes excitation. The measured results are presented in two ways: using $(B,\theta_B)$ method and using hysteresis loops along rolling and transverse directions, respectively.

  • Radiation degradation of Poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK) has been studied by dielectric analysis and dynamic mechanical analysis. It has been observed that dielectric properties are influenced by radiation degradation of PEEK. For radiation degradation of PEEK, dynamic mechanical properties were insensible.

Structural and electrical properties of perovskite Ba(Sm1/2Nb1/2)O3-BaTiO3 ceramic

  • The structural and electrical properties of $(1-x)Ba(Sm_{1/2}Nb_{1/2})O_3-xBaTiO_3$; ($0{\leq}x{\leq}1$) ceramics were prepared by conventional ceramic technique at $1375^{\circ}C$/7 h in air atmosphere. The crystal symmetry, space group and unit cell dimensions were derived from the X-ray diffraction (XRD) data using FullProf software whereas crystallite size and lattice strain were estimated from Williamson-Hall approach. XRD analysis of the compound indicated the formation of a single-phase cubic structure with the space group Pm m. Dielectric study revealed that the compound $0.75Ba(Sm_{1/2}Nb_{1/2})O_3-0.25BaTiO_3$ is having low and ${\varepsilon}^{\prime}$ and ${\varepsilon}^{{\prime}{\prime}}$ a low $T_{CC}$ (< 5%) in the working temperature range (up to+$100^{\circ}C$) which makes this composition suitable for capacitor application and may be designated as 'Stable Low-K' Class I material as per the specifications of the Electronic Industries Association. The correlated barrier hopping model was employed to successfully explain the mechanism of charge transport in the system. The ac conductivity data were used to evaluate the density of states at Fermi level, minimum hopping length and apparent activation energy of the compounds.

Ferroelectric Properties of SBT Capacitor with Annealing Times

  • The Sr$\_$0.7/Bi$\_$2.3/Ta$_2$O$\_$9/(SBT)thin films are deposited on Pt-coated electrode (Pt/TiO$_2$/SiO$_2$/Si) using a RE magnetron sputtering method. The ferroelectric properties of SBT capacitors with annealing times were studied. As a result of conducting the X-ray diffraction analysis and the electron microscopy analysis, the perovskite phase began to grow from 10 minutes after annealing the specimen, and excellent crystallization was accomplished at 60 minutes after annealing the specimen. The remanet polarization (2P$\_$r/) value and the coercive electric field (E$\_$c/) of the SBT thin film specimen showed the most excellent characteristics at 60 minutes after annealing the specimen, which were approximately 12.40 C/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and 30 kV/cm, respectively. The leakage current density of the SBT thin film specimen as annealed for 60 minutes was approximately 2.81${\times}$10$\^$-9/A/$\textrm{cm}^2$.

  • An LED (light emitting diode) has the advantages of lower power consumption, energy saving, high efficiency, long lifetime, and environmental friendliness so that it has been getting the spotlight as a next-generation light source. Thus, the application range of an LED has been extended to various fields including indoor and outdoor lighting. Recently, the high efficient LED lighting has been developed, an LED has been extended its market rapidly every year and is expected to replace the general light source within near future. In this study were measured electrical and optical properties for 6 types of LED bulbs which are being developed to replace the general incandescent lamps, and were analysed under the standard of the omnidirectional lamp required by the Energy Star.

  • Effects of nitrogen and oxygen annealing on the carrier concentration, carrier mobility, electrical resistivity and PL characteristics as well as the crystallinity of ZnO films deposited on sapphire substrates by atomic layer deposition (ALD). X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscope (SEM), photoluminescence (PL) analyses, and Hall measurement were performed to investigate the crystallinity, optical properties and electrical properties of the ZnO thin films, respectively. According to the XRD analysis results the crystallinity of the ZnO film annealed in an oxygen atmosphere is better than that of the ZnO film annealed in a nitrogen atmosphere. Annealing undoped ZnO films grown by ALD at a high temperature above $600^{\circ}C$ improves the crystallinity and enhances W emission but deteriorates the electrical conductivity of the flms. The resistivity of the ZnO film annealed particularly at $800^[\circ}C$ in a nitrogen atmosphere is much higher than that annealed at the same temperature in an oxygen atmosphere.

Electrical Properties of (Ba0.27CaSr)(Zr0.95Ti0.05)O3 Dielectric Ceramic with C0G Temperature Characteristics

  • In this study, the electrical properties of a C0G (class 1 ceramic) dielectric composition with internal reducibility, specifically (Ba0.27CaSr)(Zr0.95Ti0.05)O3, were investigated by fixing Ba at the A site and varying the Ca/Sr molar ratio. The potential application of this composition in high-permittivity C0G MLCCs was examined. The powder was calcined at 1,150℃ for 2 hours, as determined by TG-DTA analysis, and the resulting powder was ground to achieve a particle size (D50) of 0.35 to 0.4 ㎛ and a specific surface area (BET) of 4.5 to 5.0 g/m2. With a Ca/Sr molar ratio of 0.3, the composition (Ba0.27Ca0.17Sr0.56) (Zr0.95Ti0.05)O3 exhibited electrical properties with a permittivity of 41.9, a loss of less than 0.008%, and an insulation resistance exceeding 2.2×1013 Ω. The feasibility of using this composition for high-capacitance C0G MLCCs was confirmed.

Electrical and Mechanical Properties of Epoxy/Micro-sized Alumina Composite and the Effect of Nano-sized Alumina on Those Properties

  • Epoxy/micro-sized alumina composite was prepared and the effects of alumina content on the electrical and mechanical properties were investigated in order to develop an insulation material for gas insulated switchgear (GIS). Nano-sized alumina (average particle size: 30 μm) was also incorporated into the epoxy/micro-sized alumina composite. An electrical insulation breakdown strength test was carried out in sphere-sphere electrodes and the data were estimated by Weibull statistical analysis. Tensile strength was measured at a crosshead speed of 10 mm/min using a universal testing machine. Alumina content was varied from 0 wt% to 70 wt%.). As micro-sized alumina content increased, insulation breakdown strength increased until 40 wt% alumina content and decreased after that content. The tensile strength of a neat epoxy system was 82.2 MPa and that value for 60 wt% alumina content was 91.8 MPa, which was 111.7% higher than inthe neat epoxy system. The insulation breakdown strength of micro-sized alumina (60 wt%)/nano-sized alumina (1 phr) glycerol diglycidyl ether (GDE) (1 phr) composite was 54.2 MPa, which was 116% higher than the strength of the system without nano-sized alumina.
