Study of Thermal Stability of Ni Silicide using Ni-V Alloy

  • In this paper, thermal stability of Nickel silicide formed on p-type silicon wafer using Ni-V alloy film was studied. As compared with pure Ni, Ni-V shows better thermal stability. The addition of Vanadium suppresses the phase transition of NiSi to $NiSi_2$ effectively. Ni-V single structure shows the best thermal stability compared with the other Ni-silicide using TiN and Co/TiN capping layers. To enhance the thermal stability up to $650^{\circ}C$ and find out the optimal thickness of Ni silicide, different thickness of Ni-V was also investigated in this work.

  • In ac plasma display(PDP), an image quality mainly depends on the contrast ratio. And the contrast ratio is affected by the driving condition and size of discharge cell. In this study, the electrical and optical characteristics during reset, address and sustain discharge were investigated as the height and width of barrier rib were varied in order to obtain the highest contrast ratio. As a result, the optimum rib height and width were 140${\mu}m$ and 600${\mu}m$, respectively.

  • 자기누설 탐상시스템은 자성체인 구조물에 서검사 대상 물체를 자화시켜 결함부위에서 자기 누설의 여부를 측정함으로써 구조물의 결함, 부식 등을 탐지하는 시스템이다. 본 논문에서는 소형 비파괴 검사시스템을 설계하고 제작하였다. 또한 3차원 유한요소법을 이용하여 해석하고 측정하여 결과를 비교 분석하였다.

  • An air circuit breaker (ACB) with novel double-breaker contact and permanent magnet actuator (PMA) is presented. Three-dimensional (3-D) finite element method (FEM) is employed to compute the electro-dynamic repulsion forces, including the Holm force and Lorentz force, which are acting on the static and movable contacts. The electro-dynamic repulsion forces of different contact pieces are computed, illustrating there is an optimal number of contact pieces for the ACB being studied. The electro-dynamic repulsion force of each contact, which varies from the outer position to the inner position, is also computed. Finally, the contacts of the double-breaker are manufactured according to the analyzed results to validate the simulations.

  • 본 논문에서는 배터리의 상태 진단을 위한 임피던스 측정시스템을 제시한다. Labview를 이용한 임피던스 측정 시스템은 저가에서 구성할 수 있고, 변화되는 임피던스를 확인이 가능해 수명을 진단하는 지표로 이용 가능하다. 제시된 임피던스 측정 방법은 용량에 상관없이 측정이 가능하고, 기존의 장치보다 측정과 값을 계산하기가 간단하다. 또한, 고가의 장비를 이용하지 않고도, Labview와 DAQ를 이용하여 정확성 높은 결과를 구할 수 있다.

  • 기존의 fence전극구조는 ITO구조에 비해 방전전류와 휘도가 감소하여 효율이 떨어지는 것으로 알려져 있다. 따라서 효율 상승을 위하여 다음과 같은 fence 구조를 제안하였다. 실험은 reference(ITO구조) 와 제안된 structure로 구성되어 있는 4-inch ac-PDP 패널을 직접 제작하여 sustain voltage magin, discharge current, luminance를 측정하여 비교하였다. 제안된 구조는 방전전류 최대 43%감소, 휘도는 최소 35% 감소하여 효율면에서 ITO와 거의 동일한 효율을 가진다.
