  • This paper is to enable electrical safety manager to have more objective evaluation on the safety by indicating quantitative values such as life-time and status quotient of daily visual inspection on private electrical equipments. Self-diagnosis table is recommended to apply such a evaluation efficiently according to the characteristics of each electrical equipments, and the managers's determination of the precise inspection, replacement etc. will be also possible through the standard selected by various domestic and foreign data with expert's advise for numerical evaluation. This circumstance will be able to establish the foundation to secure the soundness of electrical equipments.

  • Electronic equipments made from electrical circuits with small-sized semiconductor are very weak against lightning surge. So, electronic equipments is protected by SPD(surge protective devices) such as Zno varistor. The SPD protect electronic circuit in electronic equipments and AC power lines from the lightning surge. Therefore to achieve effective method of surge protection, there are needs for correlation between lightning surge protective effect and installation method of surge protective device. Therefore this paper describes as a result of experiments for correlation between lightning surge protective effect and installation method of surge protective device.

지하철 차량기지에서의 등전위 본딩에 의한 신호시스템 낙뢰보호대책 (Lightning Protection of Signalling Equipments at Subway Car Depot by Equi-potential Bonding)

  • Signalling equipments at railroad sites are widely exposed to high voltage lightning surges. This paper presents a lightning protection system for the signalling equipments at subway car depots. The main features of the system are as follows : (1)the common grounding system between power system grounds and the signaling system grounds, (2)physical and chemical methods to reduce grounding resistivity, (3)rearrangement of lightning rods based on the rolling bal1 theory, (4)equi-potential bonding networks to minimize the potential differences between the equipments grounds. The system has been constructed at six subway car depots in Seoul metropolitan area and it is measured that the grounding resistivity are reduced to 0.266 ohms and the potential differences between devices are reduced to a negligible quantity. After the construction of the systems, it has not been reported the break-down of the signalling equipments caused by lighting surges.

초전도한류기와 인근 배전설비의 신뢰도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reliability of Superconducting Fault Current Limiter and Adjacent Distribution Equipments)

  • This study presents the failure rate and repair rate of Superconducting Fault Current Limiter(SFCL) and adjacent distribution equipments. When the fault current penetrated SFCL, the supply of electric power to the customers can be partly continued. It is expected that SFCL makes to improve the reliability index of customers. Contrary to the expectations, the series connection between SFCL and distribution system could deteriorate the reliability index. To evaluate the reliability index in the distribution system including SFCL, the failure rate and repair rate of SFCL are required as well as that of distribution equipments. Also, the insertion of SFCL makes to change the failure rate and repair rate of adjacent equipments. This study proposes a method to calculate the failure rate and repair rate of a component combining SFCL and adjacent equipments.

  • This paper deals with a proper installation methods of SPDs for information-oriented and computerized equipments. Since the information and computerized equipments have AC power lines and communication lines, the potential difference by lightning surge occurs between grounding points of the AC power lines and subscriber protectors, and it causes the flashover and damage. So, we have investigated the effect of the installation methods of surge protectors on the control of overvoltages, using a real-sized test circuit with a customer's facility. As a consequence, it was confirmed that the protection methods by installation of SPDs on the neighbor branch circuit was effective.

  • Harmonic resonant overvoltage during restoration of primary restorative transmission system originates in switching operations and nonlinear characteristics of equipments. Actually it is difficult to predict the occurrence of harmonic overvoltage, since they result from nonlinear characteristics of transformers and other equipments. This paper describes the analysis of domestic primary restorative transmission system using PSCAD/EMTDC. The harmonic resonance is verified and showed the relation with equipments which have nonlinear characteristics such as generator and transformer in this paper. And the solution to prevent harmonic resonance is proposed too. As a result, the PSCAD/EMTDC simulation showed slightly conflictive results that had been presented by IEEE Power System Restoration Working Group report.

  • This paper presents a visualization application using 3D-graphics for effective maintenance of power equipments. The maintenance algorithm implemented in the application is based on Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM). The main frame of the developed application was made up based on visual C++ (MFC). In order to develop the interactive 3D application, the WorldToolKit library based on Open GL was used. The developed application can help the power system operators to intuitively recognize the present state and maintenance information of the equipments.

  • 국내에서 전기적 자극방식 삼킴 보조 치료기는 높은 보급률과 사용빈도를 가진 전문 의료기기임에도 불구하고 기기에 대한 관리체계가 전무하여 유지 보수의 측면에 있어서도 매우 큰 취약성을 노출해 왔다. 이에 본 연구는 전기적 자극방식 삼킴 보조 치료기의 장비관리 및 안전진단 매뉴얼 개발에 목적을 두고 프로그램을 개발하였다. 이를 위하여 국제전기기술위원회(International Electrotechnical Commission, IEC)등의 기관에서 공시한 표준화된 프로그램 수집과 문헌고찰을 통해 매뉴얼 개발의 근거를 마련하고, 프로토콜을 개발하여 제시하였다. 완성된 알고리즘과 프로토콜, 지표 등의 자료를 전문가 및 현장 실무자의 자문을 통하여 수정 및 보완하고 유지보수 워크시트(Maintenance Worksheet)의 5지표 18항목, 삼킴 보조 전자 의료기기 장비관리/안전진단 절차 매뉴얼(Equipment Procedure Manual)에서 4개 지표 32항목으로 구성된 점검 매뉴얼을 최종적으로 완성하였다. 완성된 지표는 장비의 고장률을 줄이고 의료기록 문서화의 체계성 제고에 도움을 줄 것이며, 의료서비스의 효율성, 적절성을 유지하는데 기여할 수 있을 것이라 생각된다.
