고효율엔진 차량 히트펌프 시스템 개발 (Development of Heat Pump System for High Efficiency Engine Vehicle)

  • As DDI or GDI engine discharges very low heat due to its high thermal efficiency, the heat source is not enough for heating the passenger compartment in cold climate condition. To remedy the heating problem, the conventional HFC-134a automotive air-conditioning system has been attempted to run as a heat pump mode. Futhermore, an auxiliary electric heater of new type was equipped to the heat pump air-conditioning loop as a new approach. Hence, a proto-type heat pump air conditioner has been made and tested to investigate the feasibility of the HFC-134a automobile air-conditioning system that could be worked as a heat pump. The experiment results showed that the sufficient heating capacity could be obtained by adding a heat pump with an new electric type auxiliary heater into the conventional heat core in low temperature condition.

  • The waste heat recovery system using heat pipe was tested for the consideration of developing the high-efficiency waste heat recovery technology. Heat pipe, a effective device that can quickly transfer large amounts of heat energy using the phase change of the working fluid and the characteristics of Electric Heater Bars used for alternative heating system are introduced In this paper. In order to increase energy efficiency, the system which controls the status of electric heater bars and the temperature of heat pipe installed has developed.

  • The Korean medical evacuation helicopter was developed based on the Korean Utility Helicopter (hereafter referred to as 'Surion'). It uses an auxiliary power unit and engine for heating during winter operation. The helicopter maintains the internal temperature of the aircraft using its bleed air to satisfy its operational capability. However, due to the air inflow through the gap between the aircraft skin and door, additional heating for operating the portable medical equipment and preventing hypothermia in evacuated patients is required. Accordingly, an electric auxiliary heater was developed for additional heating during winter operation, and environmental, durability, and performance tests were conducted per MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-461F. The auxiliary heater was verified per the tailored airworthiness certification criteria.

전기발열체 난방기 및 유류온풍 난방기의 단동온실 난방 특성 비교 (Comparison of Heating Characteristics of Electric Heating Element Heater and Oil Hot Air Heater in Single Span Greenhouses)

  • 본 연구에서는 서로 다른 열전달 특성을 가진 탄소섬유 전기발열체와 경유온풍난방기가 온실 내부의 온습도, 에너지소비, 작물생육 등에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 오이 재배 단동온실에 대한 난방 비교시험을 수행하였다. 전기발열체 온실에서 난방용량이 온실 환경과 난방기 운전에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 온실에 6, 9, 16kW의 전력을 각각 공급한 결과 전기발열체 ON-OFF 주기는 각각 9, 11, 15회로 비례하여 증가하였으며 온실내부 평균온도는 각각 15.2, 15.3, $15.6^{\circ}C$, 평균상대습도는 84, 81, 76%로 나타나 난방 용량이 클수록 온실내부 온도는 높고, 상대습도는 낮게 나타났다. 또한 6, 9kW 가동 시 하부온도가 상부보다 $0.1^{\circ}C$ 높았으며 16kW 가동 시는 상부 평균온도가 하부보다 $0.2^{\circ}C$ 높았다. 전기발열체와 경유온풍난방기의 비교 시험에서는 난방 시 온실상부와 하부의 온도차가 전기발열체 온실이 $0.1{\sim}0.2^{\circ}C$로 경유온풍난방기 온실의 $0.5{\sim}0.6^{\circ}C$보다 작았으며, 온실 상류와 하류의 온도차는 전기발열체 온실이 $0{\sim}0.1^{\circ}C$로 경유온풍난방기 온실의 $1.3{\sim}1.4^{\circ}C$보다 작아 정밀한 온도관리가 가능하였다. 난방기간 동안 사용한 에너지사용량은 경유온풍난방기 온실이 경유 867L를, 전기발열체 온실이 전력량 8,959kWh를 사용하였으며, 난방비용은 각각 607천원과 403천원이 소요되어 전기발열체 온실에서 약 34%의 비용절감 효과가 있었다. 전기발열체 온실의 경우 상대적으로 군락 상하부의 환경관리가 균일하여 초장을 비롯한 전반적 생육상황이 경유온풍난방기 온실보다 좋았으나 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 없었으며, 수확량 역시 전기발열체 온실의 작물군락 하부 온도가 경유온풍난방기 온실보다 $1.3^{\circ}C$ 더 높게 관리되어 4.3% 증수효과가 있었으나 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 없었다. 원예시설의 최적 난방 관리를 위해서는 각 난방기의 열전달 특성에 기초하여 난방기 용량, 배치, 열분배 방법에 대한 설계가 요구되며, 전열선 형태의 난방기 역시 작물형상 및 재배방법을 고려하여 전열선의 개수, 위치, 방열온도 등에 대한 설계가 필요한 것으로 판단되었다.

  • This paper presents a novel prototype of dual mode control based phase shift ZVS PWM high frequency load resonant inverter with lossless snubber capacitors in addition to a single active auxiliary resonant snubber for electromagnetic induction heating(IH) foam metal based consumer fluid dual packs(DPA) heater. The operating principle in steady state and unique features of this voltage source soft switching high frequency inverter circuit topology are described in this paper. The lossless snubber and auxiliary active resonant snubber assisted constant frequency phase shift ZVS PWM high frequency load resonant inverter employing IGBT power modules actually is capable of achieving zero voltage soft commutation over a widely specified power regulation range from full power to low power. The steady state operating performances of this dual mode phase shift PWM series load resonant high frequency inverter are evaluated and discussed on the basis of simulation and experimental results for induction heated foam metal heater which is designed for compact and high efficient moving fluid heating appliance in the consumer pipeline systems.

  • This paper deals with the design and fabrication of a heater-trigger type high-Tc superconducting power supply system, and characteristics have been analyzed through experiments. The high-Tc superconducting power supply consists of two heater trigger and electric magnet, and YBCO superconducting bulk. In this experiment, 0.6T class magnet and dc 2.3A heater current are used, and the current-pumping characteristics have been analyzed with computer aided sequence control system. Hall sensors are installed on the YBCO bulk and in the center of iron core in order to analyze the effect of the flux-pumping on the system with when magnet flux changes its value. In this experiment, maximum pumping-current has been achieved to about 6.6 amps.

  • The iterative learning operation has been utilized in the temperature Control of a batch reactor. A generic form of feedback-assisted first-order learning control scheme was constructed and then various design and operation modes were derived through convergence and robustness analysis in the frequency domain. The proposed learning control scheme was then implemented on a bench scale batch reactor with the heat of reaction simulated by an electric heater. The results show a great improvement in the performance of control as the number of batch operations progressed.

  • The iterative learning control synthesized in the frequency domain has been utilized for temperature control of a batch reactor. For this purpose, a feedback-assisted generalized learning control scheme was constructed first, and the convergence and robustness analyses were conducted in the frequency domain. The feedback-assisted learning operation was then implemented in a bench scale batch reactor where reaction heat is simulated using an electric heater. As a result, progressive reduction of temperature control error could be obviously observed as batch operation is repeated.

  • In this paper, a DC smoothing filterless soft switching pulse modulated high frequency AC power conversion circuit connected to utility. frequency AC power source is proposed for consumer induction heating hot water producer, steamer and super heated steamer. The operating principle of DC link filterless utility frequency AC-high frequency AC (HF AC) power conversion circuit defined as high frequency cycloinverter is described, which can operate under a principle of ZVS/AVT and power regulation based on alternate asymmetrical PWM in synchronization with the utility frequency single phase AC positive or negative half wave voltage. The dual mode modulation control scheme based on high frequency PWM and commercial frequency AC voltage PDM for the proposed high frequency cycloinverter are discussed to enlarge its soft switching commutation operating range for wide HF AC power regulation. This high frequency cycloinverter is developed for high frequency IH Dual Packs Heater (DPH) type boiler used in consumer and industrial fluid pipeline systems. Based on the experiment and simulation results, this high frequency cycloinverter is proved to be suitable for the consumer use IH-DPH boiler and hot water producers. The cycloinverter power regulation and power conversion efficiency characteristics are evaluated and discussed.

  • Application of an electric heater is one of attractive methods for active regeneration in DPF systems, but its application has been limited by the capacity of electric power available in vehicles. This study was focused on intake throttling to reduce electrical energy required in the electrical heated DPF system. As results, this study showed the decrease of $30\~50\%$ of intake air mass flow rate and the increase of $20\~60^{\circ}C$ of exhaust gas temperature by the proper control of intake throttling. These intake throttling effects was helpful for regenerable temperature achievement.
