  • This study investigates the thermal and mechanical properties of insulation elements through mixing epoxy based micro- and nano particles. Regarding thermal properties, DSC and DMA were used to calculate crosslinking densities for various types of insulation elements. In a mechanical property of bending strength, shape and scale parameters were obtained using the Weibull plot. This study obtained the most excellent results of scale parameters, such as Vol 3.2%, in the bending strength of EMNCs.

  • In this paper, a high speed charging algorithm that charges secondary pack battery within 40 minutes is implementation. Proposed algorithm is that suppling 4 stage pulse instead of constant voltage or current. That makes charge time short, temperature low, and extends battery life. Experimental results show that secondary pack battery is charged within 40 minutes and achieved life time about 2000 cycle.

  • According as the industry develops recently, the import and export freight amount is increasing sharply, but physical distribution processing equipment ability had achieved conveyance, surge and setup of physical distribution by human's labor ability. But, inefficiency is indicated in operation of harbor and bay warehouse or physical distribution storage equipment because is ceilinged the processing physical distribution amount and the efficiency in physical distribution processing by these labor ability. Treatise that meet on these request proposes soldier warehouse physical distribution processing system that apply Vision System.

  • One of the main problems in AC PDP is that the previous bright image overlaps on the new image, that is called as image sticking. In this paper, Image sticking Phenomena observed in AC PDP are defined and classified, these effects are analyzed as luminance, color purity through chromaticity diagram and firing voltage state using light waveform.

  • MgO is making an important role not only as a protective layer but also improves the discharge characteristics at AC PDP. Until now, the substitute of protective layer, MgO has been studied in many ways, but it's too difficult to get a new substitute as stable as MgO. But some problems has been advanced at the discharge characteristics of MgO on high temperature. So we studied the discharge characteristics of impure MgO with $SiO_2$ doped.

  • Recently, the trend of zero emissions has increased in automotive engineering because of environmental problems and regulations. Therefore, the development of battery electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid/plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs/PHEVs), and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) has been mainstreamed. In particular, for light-duty electric vehicles, improvement in electric motor performance is directly linked to driving range and driving performance. In this paper, using an improved design for the interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM), the EV driving range for the light-duty EV was extended. In the electromagnetic design process, a 2D finite element method (FEM) was used. Furthermore, to consider mechanical stress, ANSYS Workbench was adopted. To conduct a vehicle simulation, the vehicle was modeled to include an electric motor model, energy storage model, and regenerative braking. From these results, using the advanced vehicle simulator (ADVISOR) based on MATLAB Simulink, a vehicle simulation was performed, and the effects of the improved design were described.

Automatic Assembly Task of Electric Line Using 6-Link Electro-Hydraulic Manipulators

  • Uninterrupted power supply has become indispensable during the maintenance task of active electric power lines as a result of today's highly information-oriented society and increasing demand of electric utilities. The maintenance task has the risk of electric shock and the danger of falling from high place. Therefore it is necessary to realize an autonomous robot system using electro-hydraulic manipulator because hydraulic manipulators have the advantage of electric insulation. Meanwhile it is relatively difficult to realize autonomous assembly tasks particularly in the case of manipulating flexible objects such as electric lines. In this report, a discrete event control system is introduced for automatic assembly task of electric lines into sleeves as one of the typical task of active electric power lines. In the implementation of a discrete event control system, LVQNN (linear vector quantization neural network) is applied to the insertion task of electric lines to sleeves. In order to apply these proposed control system to the unknown environment, virtual learning data for LVQNN is generated by fuzzy inference. By the experimental results of two types of electric lines and sleeves, these proposed discrete event control and neural network learning algorithm are confirmed very effective to the insertion tasks of electric lines to sleeves as a typical task of active electric power maintenance tasks.

전동기 시스템의 효율 평가 규격 및 규제 현황 연구 (A Study on the Efficiency Evaluation Standard and Regulation for Electric Motor Systems)

  • Electric motor systems account for more than half of all electric systems and the amount of energy consumption of those is almost 70 percent of total energy consumption of electric motor systems in industry. As electric motor systems are very responsible for global electricity savings and environment protection. Many international organizations are supporting standards and policy development processes to improve the efficiency of electric motor systems. Many standards are being developed at technical committee of IEC that has been required in order to support the implementation of efficiency regulations. High efficiency standards and levels for electric motor systems are slowly being introduced and compulsory in many countries. Therefore understanding the international efficiency evaluation standards and the regulation of electric motor systems of each country is important. This paper presents the current status and trends of international evaluation standards and regulations about the efficiency of electric motor systems.

한국의 지능형 전력동시부하율 저감시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on Simultaneous Load Factor of Intelligent Electric Power Reduction System in Korea)

  • This study is designed to predict the overall electric power load, to apply the method of time sharing and to reduce simultaneous load factor of electric power when authorized by user entering demand plans and using schedules into the user's interface for a certain period of time. This is about smart grid, which reduces electric power load through simultaneous load factor of electric power reduction system supervision agent. Also, this study has the following characteristics. First, it is the user interface which enables authorized users to enter and send/receive such data as demand plan and using schedule for a certain period of time. Second, it is the database server, which collects, classifies, analyzes, saves and manages demand forecast data for a certain period of time. Third, is the simultaneous load factor of electric power control agent, which controls usage of electric power by getting control signal, which is intended to reduce the simultaneous load factor of electric power by the use of the time sharing control system, form the user interface, which also integrate and compare the data which were gained from the interface and the demand forecast data of the certain period of time.
