스퀴징 공정변수에 따른 형광체막 성형 거동에 관한 연구 (The Effect of Squeezing Parameters on the Fabrication Behavior of Phosphor Films)

  • It was confirmed that when phosphor slurry is formed in the cavity of an elastic mold, the pressure distribution of the phosphor slurry varies as a function of the major squeegee parameters (squeegee angle, squeegee velocity, and the viscosity of the phosphor slurry). The higher the slurry viscosity, the faster the squeegee velocity, and the smaller the squeegee angle, the higher the filling completeness of the phosphor slurry. The optimum conditions for complete filling of the phosphor slurry were found when the squeegee angle was between 30 to 45 degrees, squeegee velocity at 40 to 70mm/sec, and the viscosity of the phosphor slurry composite was at 6,556 cps (i.e. phosphor content around 50 wt. %).

  • When the product is removed from the mold after molding during the sheet metal molding process, elastic recovery causes a springback phenomenon. Much research has been done to minimize this phenomenon. In this study, V-bending experiments were conducted using galvanized steel sheets, stainless steel, and aluminum sheet materials, using a total of nine types of thin sheet materials of 1.0t, 1.5t, and 2.0t, respectively. Molding analysis and experimental data were compared and analyzed. In the case of galvanized steel sheets, it was considered that the springback phenomenon occurs more frequently in molding analysis than in experiments. It was considered that the springback phenomenon occurs greatly in the experiment, not the interpretation of the molding of the stainless steel plate and the aluminum plate. It was considered that the springback occurrence tendency of the molding analysis and the experiment was the same, and the springback occurrence error rate of the molding analysis and the experimental result was about 4.0%.

  • This paper presents an elastic deformation model of a spindle unit (S/U), which takes into account the non-linear properties of high-speed ball bearings (particularly the effect of high rotational speed). For this, a software for the estimation of the S/U elastic deformation properties was developed and intended for use by S/U designers. A computer aided analysis of the model using the developed software was carried out and experiments showed the significant effect of rotational speed, cutting load and bearing axial preload, and showed some new phenomena, from which the criteria for the choice of bearing axial preload is given.

  • The EV electric vehicle market is growing rapidly worldwide. An electric vehicle means a vehicle that uses energy charged through an electricity source as power. The precision of the press is important to mass-produce the drive motor, which is a key component of the electric vehicle. The size of the driving motor is increasing, and The size of the mold is also growing. In this study, the precision of large high-speed presses for mass production of driving motors was measured. A study was conducted on the measurement method of press and the analysis of measurement data. A drive motor is a component that transmits power by converting electrical energy into kinetic energy. EV driven motors have key material properties to improve efficiency. The material properties are the thickness of the material. As a method for improving performance, use a 0.2mm thin steel sheet. Mold is also becoming larger. As the mold grows, the size of the high-speed press for mass production of the driving motor is also increasing. Also, the precision of the press is the most important because it uses a thin iron plate material. So the importance of large press precision is being emphasized. 재사용 수지 비율에 따른 PP, ABS의 강도 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Strength Characteristics of PP and ABS According to the Ratio of Recycled Resin)

  • In this study, the recyclability of commonly used PP (polypropylene) and ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) was evaluated by molding test specimens from mixture of virgin and shredded material, followed by measuring their strength properties, Experiments were conducted o two type of PP (transparent and non-transparent) and two types of ABS (white and yellow). Test specimens for each resin were prepared with shredded material ratios ranging from 10% to 50% in 10% increments. Changes in tensile strength, elastic modulus, and elastic limit were analyzed based on the mixing ratio of the shredded material. The experimental results demonstrated that the strength properties of all the resins remained consistent within a certain range, even with increasing proportions of shredded material. For transparent PP, the tensile strength ranged from 30.87± MPa, the elastic modulus from 1.23±0.04 GPa, and the elastic limit from 19.17±0.44%. Non-transparent PP exhibited a tensile strength ranging from 27.71±0.58 MPa, an elastic modulus from 1.03±0.06 GPa, and an elastic limit from 17.35±0.41%. For ABS, white ABS had a tensile strength of 39.42±0.28 MPa, an elastic modulus of 1.94±0.01 GPa, and an elastic limit of 36.76±0.25%. Yellow ABS showed a tensile strength of 39.25±0.78 MPa, an elastic modulus of 1.94±0.01 GPa, and an elastic limit of 37.14±0.23%, with values remaining consistent within this range. Based on these results, it was confirmed that the mechanical properties of the resins used in this study do not change significantly when mixed with recycled shredded material, indicating excellent mechanical recyclability.

  • Currently, studies on weight reduction and fuel efficiency increase are the most important topics in the automotive industry and many studies are under way. Among them, weight reduction is the best way to raise fuel efficiency and solve environmental pollution and resource depletion. Materials such as aluminum, magnesium and carbon curing materials can be found in lightweight materials. Among these, research on improvement of bonding technology and manufacturing method of materials and improvement of material properties through study of ultrahigh strength steel sheet is expected to be the biggest part of material weight reduction. As the strength of the ultra hight strength steel sheet increases during forming, it is difficult to obtain the dimensional accuracy as the elastic restoring force increases compared to the hardness or high strength steel sheet. It is known that the spring back phenomenon is affected by various factors depending on the raw material and processing process. We have conducted analytical evaluations and studies to analyze the springback that occurs according to the cross-sectional shape of the ultra high tensile steel sheet.

  • Production machines have been more important, due to quality level of vehicle motor core is getting higher. That is why, to improve assembly fit of tooling and to be emphasized how much moving down caused of deterioration of high speed press, it is also getting more important parts as solution of problems. To analyze how much move based on condition of movement as tooling and high speed press, and to measure how much impact to embossing height caused of changing movement down. As the result of investigation, in case of material thickness 0.5mm, there is highest pull and force power when emboss height is 0.45mm. If emboss height is less than 0.45mm, pull and force power is getting lower, if emboss height is higher than 0.45mm, it is impossible to make it forming caused of changed press movement, also it has been piercing.

폐잔재의 펄프화를 통한 환경친화적 완충소재의 개발 (Development of Environment-friendly Cushioning Materials by Pulping of Waste Residual Woods)

  • Environment-friendly shock-absorbing (cushioning) materials were made using a vacuum forming method from waste wood collected from local mountains in Korea. The waste wood was pulped by thermomechanical pulping. The TMP cushions showed superior shock-absorbing properties with lower elastic moduli compared to EPS(Expanded Polystyrene) and pulp mold. Even though the TMP cushions made using at different suction times had many free voids in their inner fiber structures, their apparent densities were a little higher than EPS and much lower than pulp mold. The addition of cationic starch improved elastic modulus of the TMP cushions without increasing the apparent density, which was different from surface sizing with starch. The porosity of the TMP cushions was a little greater than EPS and much less than pulp mold. Finally, the TMP cushions have great potential to endure external impacts occurring during goods distribution.

풍차형 구조를 갖는 초음파 전동기의 회전 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Revolution Characteristics of the Ultrasonic Motor with Windmill Type Structure)

  • In this study, a windmill type ultrasonic motor operated by single-phase AC electric field was fabricated, and then revolution characteristics and 3-dimensional vibration mode of the ultrasonic motor were investigated. Brass metal was pressed with umbrella-type using metal mold, then slot of 4 kind was processed at various thickness. It was found that the revolution speed of the ultrasonic motor increased with decreasing the thickness of elastic body. The revolution speed of the ultrasonic motor increased with increasing the slots of elastic body. When the characteristics was measured, applied voltage was changed from $10V_{max}\; to\; 100V_{max}$. Then, revolution was began from $30V_{max}$, if voltage was applied over $90V_{max}$ revolution speed was saturated, and not increased. The maximum revolution speed was 510[rpm] when using elastic body with 6 slots and thickness of 0.15mm. And 3-dimensional displacement mode was rotated clockwise direction.

Prediction and Measurement of Residual Stresses in Injection Molded Parts

  • Residual stresses were predicted by a flow analysis in the mold cavity and residual stress distribution in the injection molded product was measured. Flow field was analyzed by the hybrid FEM/FDM method, using the Hele Shaw approximation. The Modified Cross model was used to determine the dependence of the viscosity on the temperature and the shear rate. The specific volume of the polymer melt which varies with the pressure and temperature fields was calculated by the Tait\`s state equation. Flow analysis results such as pressure, temperature, and the location of the liquid-solid interface were used as the input of the stress analysis. In order to calculate more accurate gap-wise temperature field, a coordinate transformation technique was used. The residual stress distribution in the gap-wise temperature field, a coordinate transformation technique was used. The residual stress distribution in the gap-wise direction was predicted in two cases, the free quenching, under the assumption that the shrinkage of the injection molded product occurs within the mold cavity and that the solid polymer is elastic. Effects of the initial flow rate, packing pressure, and mold temperature on the residual stress distribution was discussed. Experimental results were also obtained by the layer removal method for molded polypropylene.
