This thesis analyzes the behavior of Korean senior officers corroboratively. The subject of research is a group of senior officers who were graduated from the Korea Military Academies of three armed forces, promoted to colonel at their first screen, and served for the duration of active duty on 18-22 years. The study reviews a correlation between the academic record and military promotion, and also between it and the duration of active service. Tri-dimensional leader effectiveness model, which P. Horsey and K.H. Blanchard developed to analyze LEAD (lead effectiveness and adaptability description), is used to evaluate the basic leader behavior styles.

Given the rapidly increasing market penetration of photovoltaic (PV) systems in many fields, including construction and housing, the effective maintenance of PV systems through remote monitoring at the panel level has attracted attention to quickly detect faults that cause reductions in yearly PV energy production, and which can reduce the whole-life cost. A key point of PV monitoring at the panel level is cost-effectiveness, as the installation of the massive PV panels that comprise PV systems is showing rapid growth in the market. This paper proposes an implementation method that involves the use of a panel-level wireless PV monitoring module (WPMM), and which assesses the cost-effectiveness of this approach. To maximize the cost-effectiveness, the designed WPMM uses a voltage-divider scheme for voltage metering and a shunt-resistor scheme for current metering. In addition, the proposed method offsets the effect of element errors by extracting calibration parameters. Furthermore, a design method is presented for portable and user-friendly PV monitoring, and demonstration results using a commercial 30-kW PV system are described.

With the development of weapon systems by mounting various sensors, it makes important to analyze the precise functioning of sensor to external environment. In the case of small arms with magnetic sensor, the malfunction of small arms might be caused by strong external magnetic fields. In this study, the effects of magnetic sensor on external magnetic fields were analyzed, and optimal magnetic shield and shield structure were designed through M&S. In addition, the magnetic-shielding effectiveness of magnetic sensor in small arms was verified with commercial shielding materials. As a result, it was demonstrated that the Fe-Cu-Si-Nd-B with the structure of multi-layer metallic shields was shown the magnetic-shielding effectiveness of 83 % for an external permanent magnet and 19 % for an alternating magnetic field of 180 dBpT at 60 Hz, respectively.

The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of the pre-parent education program and its application to adolescents in residential care. The following research question will be used in the evaluation of the program's effectiveness: a change in self-esteem of the adolescents in residential care and a change in defining an ideal family. With these research questions, a survey of the requirements for its contents and previous studies were researched, and adolescents in residential care participated in the program in 12 sessions of 4 stages. The research showed a meaningful change of p>.001 for self-esteem and the ideal family in pre, post-test to the experimental group and control group. That proved the effectiveness of the pre-parent education program. Observing the experimental group's change process, the researcher proved the following results. At the beginning of the program experimental group showed hopelessness and disliked participating in the program. At the end of this, they had active attitudes, confidence and challenge to the vision. This study contains theory and various practical family activities. This study made a contribution to help adolescents in residential care enhance self-esteem and define the future ideal family.

Purpose: This descriptive study was designed to find out the relation between nurses' perceptions of leadership and organizational effectiveness. Method: The data was collected from nurses in 451, a tertiary hospital located in B city by means of structured questionnaires. The data was analysed by t-test. ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: The average age of the subjects was 29.1. Regarding the marital status, 68.1% were single. Regarding the nursing unit, 42.6% were working for the general surgical wards. The total period of clinical career was on average 73.7 months. Regarding the period in current ward, 51.0% were 1-less than 3 years. There was a positive correlation with transformational leadership, transactional leadership, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment, whereas the turnover intention had a negative correlation with transformational leadership and transactional leadership. Conclusion: The nurses' different perceptions of transformational leadership, transactional leadership, and organizational effectiveness have strong correlative relationships with each other. This finding suggests the importance of the head nurse's leadership in increasing organizational effectiveness.

Effects of gamma irradiation on hygienic quality, extraction yields and physiological effectiveness in twenty-one kinds of Korean medicinal plants were investigated. Gamma irradiation at $5{\sim}10\;kGy$ eliminated the microorganisms contaminated in Korean medicinal plants. The total extraction yield in fifteen kinds of Korean medicinal plants increased by $5{\sim}25%$ at 10 kGy gamma irradiation. The physiological effectiveness such as antioxidation, anticomplement functions, nitrite scavenging and electron donating abilities of medicinal plants exposed to 10 kGy gamma irradiation were not different from that of the nonirradiated control.

This paper studied safety benefit of operation-effectiveness analysis on marine traffic safety facilities. In the operation-effectiveness of marine traffic safety facilities the benefits can be divided as safety benefit, transport benefit, and other benefit. Safety benefit was produced as the loss aversion cost of marine traffic caused by the reduction of marine accidents after establishing and operating marine traffic safety facilities. First of all the reduction rate marine accidents was estimated to do it, and the detail model of loss aversion cost was constructed Then each variable in the model was defined and the method of computation presented.

The type approval system for railway vehicle has been in effect since 2016 in order to establish a regular safety management system to secure railway safety and enhance the technological competitiveness of the railway industry, abolished the conventional performance test system through the reform of the Railroad Safety Act in 2012. Until now, there has been appreciated it has been making significant contributions to railway safety and industry of operation and manufacturing companies, taking their place in accordance with the implementation of the system. But there has been no case of quantitative analysis on the effectiveness of the actual system. In this study, in order to examine the full-scale performance of the approval system and quantitatively analyze effectiveness, we identified and defined the relationships with the major elements of the type approval system based on system thinking principle and determined the calculated outcomes to relevant stakeholders. A method of establishing a type approval performance management system that can be grasped, utilized, and adjusted from a point of various stakeholders' views was proposed. This is expected to be more helpful in the implementation of the system, such as improving and applying quantitative effects to analysis by closely reviewing the effects and influencing factors of the type approval system based on the data accumulated through continuous performance management and reflecting to system improvement.

This study aims to develop and implement a coaching program in the metaverse space to address issues faced by university students during their life stage and verify their effectiveness. The overall program consists of four sessions: "Opening," "Metaverse-based Coaching Clinic (2 sessions)," and "Coaching Clinic Reflection and Feedback." A total of 20 participants were selected through S University's extracurricular program system. To assess the effectiveness of the program, surveys, as well as focus group interviews (FGIs) were conducted. Using SPSS 26.0, significant differences were observed in the participants' career decision self-efficacy and resilience. The FGIs were conducted with a total of four participants divided into two groups, with each group lasting for one hour. The analysis revealed key phases, including the introductory phase comprising participants' motivation and expectations, the main phases consisting of program operation, coaching perception and outcomes, metaverse environment, and metaverse coaching perception and outcomes, as well as the concluding phase in which recommendations are suggested for subsequent programs. The study confirmed the significant impact of coaching in the metaverse space and highlighted the maximization of coaching effectiveness through mutual anonymity facilitated by avatars. This research holds significance as an exploratory study that practically verifies the potential expansion of the metaverse environment in the coaching field.

One of the difficulties in using the current Boolean-based information retrieval systems is that it is hard for a user, especially a novice, to formulate an effective Boolean query. One solution to this problem is to let the system formulate a query for a user from his relevance feedback documents in this research, an intelligent query reformulation mechanism based on ID3 is proposed and the sensitivity of its retrieval effectiveness, i.e., recall, precision, and E-measure, to various input settings is analyzed. The parameters in the input settings is the number of relevant documents. Experiments conducted on the test set of Medlars revealed that the effectiveness of the proposed system is in fact sensitive to the number of the initial relevant documents. The case with two or more initial relevant documents outperformed the case with one initial relevant document with statistical significances. It is our conclusion that formulation of an effective query in the proposed system requires at least two relevant documents in its initial input set.
