This study was conducted to review the educational reform of the Moon Jae-In government, to analyze the its issues, and to suggest the tasks for the successful reform at the time since the government of Moon Jae-In was launched just over a year old. To attain the aim, we first examine the characteristics of the Moon Jae-In government, who emerged as a candlelight revolution, and what it means in terms of educational politics perspective. Under this background, this study examined the direction, contents, and implementation method of education reform policy of the Moon Jae-In government. And the study discussed what are the major issues raised in the direction and contents, implementation method of education reform, and what are the future challenges for resolving such issues. In conclusion, based on the discussions of the issues and tasks of the education policy, in order to implement the new educational system in the future, the Moon Jae-In government should take into consideration the discourses related to vision and direction, educational policy to embody them. The results of this study are expected to give an opportunity to examine the direction, content and implementation of policy in the early stage of the government.
This research aims to study on educational methods of Nature-Study extracted through a wide body of literatures and meaning of Nature-Study toward today's science education. For this, viewpoints of Nature-Study were drown by previous historical study about Nature-Study. And educational methods of Nature-Study based on viewpoints of Nature-Study were abstracted by collecting and analyzing of literatures. Meaning of Nature-Study toward today's science education was considered. The research resulted in the following; First, Nature-Study emphasize the sympathy with nature, aim for integrated subject study and include non-formal study from a viewpoint of 'studying with nature'. Second, Nature-Study aim for outdoor activities, emphasize experiences than texts, value fundamental observation from a viewpoint of 'study through first-hand experiences'. Third, Nature-Study value interest of students, support the study for all students, emphasize the teachers' role as a helper from a viewpoint of 'learner-centered education'. Nature-Study is suggested to change view of point over to science education through nature toward today's science education.
This study investigates the meaning, the method of "Cultivation of the fundamental" as aim of child education in context of the Xing-Li-Xue(性理學) educational theory. Chu-hsi understood the meaning of "Cultivation of the fundamental" as Ching(敬, the cultivation of good nature in human mind). The method of "Cultivation of the fundamental" consists of quiet sitting(정좌), attention(주의집중), moral environment(도덕적 환경) and practicing propriety(예의 실습). Through quiet sitting and attention, learners may reach a condition of mind which is free of their selfish desires and in which they can find out their original nature. The education in Confucianism accepts the environment as a significant element in forming human personality. Making moral environment has leaners to take good value with ease. Characteristic of study in Xing-Li-Xue is to emphasize to observe concrete clauses of propriety. The reason why Xing-Li-Xue emphasizes propriety is that Mind Study may be maintained through Body Study. In conclusion, the "Cultivation of the fundamental" in the Xing-Li-Xue is to form the power to regulate selfish desires and thus behave more moderately. Along these points, not only quiet sitting which relexes the body and soul, but also song and dance are not considered as contrary to Xing-Li-Xue educational theory. The various ways of "Cultivation of the fundamental" of Xing-Li-Xue educational theory make people recognize, understand and experience good innate nature of human beings. And we can reach the conclusion that education of Xing-Li-Xue uses so many methods that learner can accept moral value as naturally as possible.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to assess the readability and suitability of printed educational materials related to metabolic syndrome in South Korea. Methods: Data were collected on 15 educational materials on metabolic syndrome from public health centers in Seoul. The 9 Graded Korean Vocabulary Classification and Korean version of SAM (Suitability Assessment of Materials) were used for the readability evaluation and the suitability evaluation respectively. Results: Overall average of the readability was 3.0th grade level. The percentage of 1st to 4th grade words was 79.4%. The printed educational materials on metabolic syndrome were written according to recommended reading levels. In suitability assessment, 2 out of 15 materials(13.3%) were scored as superior, 12 materials(80.0%) were scored as adequate and only 1 (6.7%) was scored as inadequate. The total average score of suitability was adequate. However, there are limitations in "summary and review" and "context is given first" due to limited writing pages. Conclusion: Readability and suitability of educational materials for metabolic syndrome were evaluated as adequate level. However, future health educational materials should be evaluated for readability via different factors including length of sentences, numbers of sentences, and structure of sentences. In addition, for easier understanding and motivation of readers, materials should use summary & review, context and proper interaction.
Purpose - The aim of this study was to analyze the educational needs of distribution company salespeople in core competencies for convergence and their general perception of convergence education. Furthermore, this study provides basic data on core competencies for convergence needed by them. Research design, data, and methodology - A survey was conducted on 104 distribution company salespeople who worked near Seoul, Korea to analyze the perceptions of their educational needs in core competencies for convergence education, according to their socio-demographic characteristics. The socio-demographic characteristics were gender, age, workplace size, education background, work experience and business category. The questionnaire consisted of demographic factors (7 questions), general perception of convergence education (5 questions), perception of importance of core competency for distribution company salespeople (9 questions), and current perception of distribution company salespeople on core competency of convergence workers (9 questions). Park et al.(2014)'s categorization of convergence core competencies was used: Cognitive convergence (creative thinking, critical thinking and understanding of convergence knowledge), convergence performance (problem solving, communications, collaboration and application of convergence tools) and attitude toward convergence (empathy and responsibility). Data was collected through an independent sample of t-tests and a one-way analysis of variance and the Borich Needs Assessment Model was used to identify the educational needs of distribution company salespeople in the core competencies of convergence education. Results- The results show that the subjects recognized the need for convergence education to be high among the general perceptions. The perception scores for workers of different backgrounds only varied according to the size of the business. Moreover, the results of the educational needs analysis and the ranks of the required core competencies of convergence workers by the subjects were as follows: 1. convergence knowledge understanding competency, 2. creative thinking competency, 3. convergence tool application competency, 3. communications competency, 4. problem solving competency, 5. collaboration competency, 6. critical thinking competency, 7. empathy competency, 8. responsibility competency. Conclusions - This study highlights the necessity of developing university curriculum that can nurture the core competencies of conversion education reflecting distribution company salespeople's requests as well as cultivating qualified convergence workers required by distribution company workers.

User-created content(UCC) is on the rapid increase both in terms of quantity and the quality of sharing and enjoying each others. However, not much research has been done on school's adoption of this innovative contents for educational purposes. The aim of this case study is to identify the determinants of students' attitude toward using UCC in elementary school classes. This study employs the perceived educational value, ease of use, social influence, fun, computer self-efficacy, cooperativity and concentration as the antecedents of attitude, and collected 246 survey responses from 5th and 6th grade students. The results indicate that the perceived educational value, ease of use and socal influence have significant impact on the attitude toward using UCC. It was also found that the cooperativity, fun and ease of use determine the level of perceived educational value, and that the computer self-efficacy, fun and concentration influence the perceived ease of use. Some useful suggestions, concerning the utilizing UCC for educational purpose in elementary school classes, are also presented.

In this paper, via analysis a education method of chapter for computer basic knowledge, whether educational computer game one of various education methods is able to extend computer basic knowledge, we taught and analyzed applied result, then we wanted to find possibility that educational computer games is possible to be contributed in computer education of elementary school. For extending of computer literacy of student, we did computer class with educational game. As a result, we could got a more effective outcome that student felt a fun and participated in class more active than normal class. Therefore, If we will use educational computer games to aim to raise abilities of computer literacy and problem solving that will be contributed in education which is coincided with knowledge basis society of informational period.

The aim of this study is to classify the structure levels and types of the reading program in the secondary school library. The object of analysis is the practice case of the reading program included in 'Occupying School Library by 1318 Bookworms' for recently 10 years. There are 375 cases. According to the analysis result, most of the reading programs have three layers made up of 'blend title- reading activities- educational activities'. And there are classified into eight types (lecture, viewing, presentation, exhibition, making sth, debating, answering a quiz, experience) of the reading activities. The type of reading program depend on how to combine to the educational activities(reading, writing, listening, watching, speaking, making). This attribute of educational activities match up with modularity, completeness itself and organizing system. Through modular process of educational activities, it's possible to design their own reading programs based on the reading activity by adding, compensating other educational activities.
This study is based on the criticism against life contempt tendency in the educational environment of our society. The purpose of this study is to find out the perception and expectation about the realities and formations of partnership between the home and early childhood educational setting of parents and teachers. The ultimate aim is to build a foundation which transforms educational settings into warm educational communities. The research participants were 4 mothers whose children attended the setting and 4 teachers of the early childhood educational setting (8 participants in total). The research results were as follows. The perception of the realities about partnership of parents and teachers was sub-categorized into four categories: 1)"partnership": essential aspect in children's positive development, 2) practicing with vague concepts, 3) lacking the awareness of companion or partnership, 4) disturbing cooperation between parents and teachers from external issues and problems. The expectation of parents and teachers about formation of partnership between home and early childhood educational setting was sub-categorized into five categories: 1) building of community consciousness for better partnership, 2) developing empathy and communication skills between parents and teachers for mutual understanding, 3) considering various strategies to promote partnership with different styles of parents, 4) activating teacher training and parent education in link with local universities and on-line, 5) providing support from the national level to establish new relationships between home and educational settings. Consequently, it will lead early childhood education settings to be transformed into warm educational communities which orientate respect for life.

The present research has been conducted on the arranged form, the number and kinds, the area, the location of the rooms and the variation on exterior designs, based on a layout and a ground plan of each step, which are general plan, VE proposal and the final negotiation, for 11 elementary and middle and high schools that are designed in the way of BTL project. In consequence, it has been found out that there are some changes in the number and position of the rooms. However, the changes are not exceeding the overall arrangement form. This could not have led to the original aim, which is to induce creativity by PFI. It can be supposed that it is because the BTL system is stick to the old process, the method of financial investment and it is true to say that there needs to be solution for that.
