  • In the course of this article, the concept of "innovation" was considered and analyzed, which is considered not only as a subject, something new, but also as a process. The process of introducing something new into life, and in our case, into the educational process. Innovative educational technologies are varied and plentiful. In this article, the most commonly used. Among them: the use of ICT, game techniques, the portfolio method, personality-oriented, information support of the learning process, educational and health-saving technologies, and others.

  • Buddhism have affected Korea traditional education very much. Sam Guk Yu Sa is a book which includes the public disposition grounded on world view of Buddhism. In the wide scope, the public disposition relates to their cultivating education. This paper reviewed cultivating education grounded on John Dewey "experience-learning" model about the Buddhistic public disposition appearing in Sam Guk Yu Sa. "Meaning-experience" as "adult-becoming" appearing in Sam Guk Yu Sa shows a strong characteristic of cultivating education when we see on a creative horizon in the Buddhistic world. Dewey-Deleuze's cultivating education which modernizes the theory of John Dewey meets at the place of the public disposition and three fables of Sam Guk Yu Sa grounded on the Buddhistic world. This could open possibility to interpret the cultivating theory of Korea traditional thought and western educational theory with interdigitation. Fables of Sam Guk Yu Sa dealt with growth and maturity of the public from Buddhist monk to folk wishes to achieve Bulgukto(佛國土; the land with Buddha) through the process of cultivating education which leads to "impulse-observation-knowledge-determination." In these series of process for "adult-becoming," life itself possesses characteristic of cultivating theory. In this respect, fables of Sam Guk Yu Sa shows Korea traditional cultivating theory and can be a role of a discourse book for cultivating educational theory which could relate to western educational theory.

  • In this study, the interplay between models and theories was explored through a series of focus group discussions (FGDs) involving five experts in science education. The FGDs were held seven times, beginning with the question of what is modeling in relation to models, which is a current area of research in science education. Throughout the discussion, several key issues regarding models and modeling were addressed, with a particular emphasis on their relationship to theory. A notable finding from this study is that the participants' discussions did not converge into a single viewpoint regarding the relationship between theory and models; instead, multiple related issues emerged, leading to attempts to reframe existing concepts and seek new understanding. The study findings relate to three main areas of inquiry: What is the meaning of models or modeling? What is the nature of the relationship between models and theories?, and Is modeling possible without a foundation in theory? Particularly, the relationship between models and theories was discussed in reference to the following points: 1) Is a model to be understood as derived from theory, and is modeling the application of theory to phenomena? 2) Can a model be inferred from theory? 3) Does modeling originate from a specific, structured foundational theory (a framework of empirical knowledge), or is it to be understood through the integration of various resources without explicit reference to a foundational theory? Based on the study outcomes, implications are presented for philosophy of science and for researchers and educators working in the realm of science education.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the scientific activities of scientists justifying Wegener's continental drift in the 20th century, which is explained as a revolutionary process in earth science, and methodologically analyze the strategy of proposing new scientific theories and how the process of theory selection is carried out. Previously, the Earth was a static model and only the vertical movement of the crust was considered. However, the theory of continental drift proposed horizontal movement of the crust as a dynamic model of the Earth, eliminating numerous problems. Therefore, this study seeks to explore the rational activities of numerous scientists until the current plate tectonics theory was formed. Additionally, the theory of continental drift is in conflict with the theory of Earth shrinkage, which is an existing static model. In other words, it deviates from the existing mechanistic world view by presenting a dynamic model in which the Earth is created and changes, as opposed to a static model in which the Earth is already completed, fixed, and unchanged. As a result, old geology was weakened and new geophysics was born. The theory of continental drift and continued exploration by subsequent generations of scholars brought about a revolution in earth science. This can be said to be a good subject of investigation as educational material for various methodologies for students in earth science education, and as educational material for changing students' worldview.

  • This study deals with the problem of proof education in the middle school geometry bby examining van Hiele#s geometric thought level theory and Freudenthal#s mathematization teaching theory. The implications that have been revealed by examining the theory of van Hie이 and Freudenthal are as follows. First of all, the proof education at present that follows the order of #definition-theorem-proof#should be reconsidered. This order of proof-teaching may have the danger that fix the proof education poorly and formally by imposing the ready-made mathematics as the mere record of proof on students rather than suggesting the proof as the real thought activity. Hence we should encourage students in reinventing #proving#as the means of organization and mathematization. Second, proof-learning can not start by introducing the term of proof only. We should recognize proof-learning as a gradual process which forms with understanding the meaning of proof on the basic of the various activities, such as observation of geometric figures, analysis of the properties of geometric figures and construction of the relationship among those properties. Moreover students should be given this natural ground of proof.
