This research is a descriptive investigation research in order to understand the influences on the perception of the patient safety culture and safey nursing activity with the clinical nurses of the university hospitals as the subjects. The data collected were analyzed using the SPSS 23.0 program. As a result, the perception of patient safety culture of the subjects was 3.30 of the full score of 5points, and safety nursing activity 3.89. It appeared that, also, in the safety nursing activity, the total career experience, the position, immediately superior/manager, the communication procedures, and the frequency of accident reports receive the influences. As a result, in order to enhance the safety nursing activity, the developments of the practice guidelines that can appropriately manage the experienced people, that can communicate smoothly between the organizations, and that can make the case reports and the developments of the educational programs are needed.
This study was performed to clarify general characteristics of the bird community structure within the boundaries of Hallasan National Park. The surveys were made during April 2006 to February 2007, and the birds were identified and the individual number of those birds was counted up to 38 species and 2,323 individuals in total. Among the total 38 species, 27 residents, 6 summer visitors, 2 winter visitors and 8 passage birds were identified by migratory pattern categories. The most dominant species was Corvus macrorhynchos (14.81%), followed by the Hypsipetes amaurotis(12.66%), and the third was Carduelis sinica(10.33%), and next, Corvus corone (8.44%). About 31 species and 1,639 individuals of birds were sighted around Sallok road 1 (A), and 27 species and 693 individuals of birds were spotted around mountain trails (B), Consequently, it was found that [A] area abounds in more birds than [B] area. Species diversity (H') was distributed over the range of $1.34{\sim}2.56$ degrees in view of the surveyed areas by season. The maximum species diversity (2.56) was found in (A) area in the spring, and the minimum species diversity (1.34) was seen in [B] area in the winter. There are different distributional patterns of birds in terms of the altitude. It was also observed that there were differences in weather factors and food resources by the altitude.
This study was carried out to analyze inquiry area of the chemistry (II) textbooks which were published by the 7th curriculum. The study attempts to analyze the degree to which chemistry (II) textbooks reflected the guidelines of the 7th science curriculum and propose educational suggestions for the inquiry learning. The analysis of the inquiry area was carried out based on the suggested inquiry elements of the 7th science curriculum. Overall, for the analysis of inquiry elements, basic inquiry elements except classifying suggested by the 7th science curriculum were well reflected on the textbooks. However, for the integrated inquiry elements, interpreting data takes almost half of the total integrated inquiry elements. Other integrated inquiry elements except drawing conclusion and transforming data were reflected less than ten percent. Investigation was also reflected less than ten percent of all inquiry activity. And inquiry activities were limited in terms of variety with few projects and no field trip. The main essence of the 7th science curriculum is the emphasis on total inquiry learning through various integrated inquiry elements and inquiry activities for higher grade students. Thus it is suggested that teachers provide inquiry learning which can supplement the textbook.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the inquiry elements and inquiry activity of the inquiry area in chemistry I textbooks authorized by 7th curriculum. It was to confirm suitable reflection of the 7th science curriculum and to find educational suggestions of inquiry learning. It was found that the basic inquiry elements except measuring and classifying were well reflected on the textbooks. However, only several integrated inquiry elements and the inquiry activities were well reflected on the same textbooks. For the integrated inquiry elements, interpreting data was shown as the tower above the rest inquiry elements. In the analysis of inquiry activity, the numbers of experiment is placed almost half of all inquiry activities. The sum of two numbers of investigation and discussion is similar ratio to experiment but field trip and project are rarely or low ratio. As the integrated inquiry elements and inquiry activities were not balanced for various inquiry learning. It is suggested that learners be educated with complementary of these aspects in inquiry learning.
A lot of colleges have made continued efforts to help freshmen adapt themselves to a new school life and environment and build a decent relationship with faculty and other students. Therefore, this study attempted to figure out the effectiveness of team teaching(team teaching by academic advisor, standard textbook-centered guidance vs. autonomous mentoring) on strategic cultural curriculum as a way to help freshmen adapt themselves to a school life. For research subjects, 31 enrolled freshmen and 5 professors from a college in Chungbuk were selected. In terms of research tools, 'Communication Competence Assessment Sheet' provided by Strategic Cultural Curriculum Development Team and a simple questionnaire on 'curriculum satisfaction, adaptation to school and intimacy' were applied. For data analysis, paired t-test, independent samples t-test and rating scale were conducted. The study results found the followings: First, according to analysis on the effects of two different types of team teaching on the goal of strategic cultural curriculum('improvement of communication competence'), significant effects were found in a standard curriculum(textbook)-centered team. Second, when adaptation to a school life(school adaptation, intimacy) perceived by the students who completed the strategic cultural curriculum according to two different types of team teaching curriculum was analyzed, significant changes were found at standard textbook-centered guidance team. Third, this study has examined other changes, satisfaction, opinions and perception(strength, weakness, opinions for improvement) on the curriculum perceived by the students(learners) and faculty regarding about team teaching curriculum. Based on these results, educational implications of this study were reviewed. And a suggestion and limits were presented.
This study is a series of reviews in connection with the application of the Questionnaire THI, in order to intend to provide such datum to be of a help as the screening-test by means of getting through comparative analysis, and finding out existence of any disease appeared as a result of the general medical examinations, and the psychosomatic symptoms, through the questionnaire THI. This study had been researched through the 507 insureds of the life insurance residing in Seoul and in the suburbs of Seoul, during the period 5 Jan. 1987 to 27 Feb. through the questionnaires. Exception of the 88 insincere respondents out of the total objectives, the 419 questionnaires were nanlized through percentage, Mean, T-test, ANOVA test, and Discriminant Analysis. 1. The Subjective Health Problem of the Objectives: The average of the health problem appliation quorum appeared to be 1. 81, the articles of both nervousness and aggressiveness appeared to be each 2.25 and 2.04. It tells that the state of appliation is heavy. It was very significant statistically the relation between the elements of sex, ages, educational backgrounds and occupations. 2. The result of the General Examination of the Objectives: The number of the persons with abnormal findings was 300 persons among the total of 419 persons as a result of the general medical examinations, and it was applicable to $73.5\%$. By each age and marital state were statistically significant. 3. Comparison of the result of the General Examination and Subjective Health of those Objectives: As a result of discriminant analysis of the independent variables through the result of the general examination, the greatest element for influence appeared to be the age, and then, regular examination, sex, and the somatic complaints of the THI in order. Accordingly, it is considered to be able to function as the screening test of the general examination, the THI. In case of a greater unit of group required a medical examination, It is considered to be of a help for the health management service for more effective and precise in quality and economic, only if a medical examination is carried out after selecting the somatic subjective problem and research in advance to the application of the THI prior to the examination.
The period from 1946 until his retirement from Department of Forest Resources, Seoul National University was a time of research and professional activity on many fronts for Korean Plant Taxonomy. From 1952 to 1984, he travelled south Korea and collected more than 70,000 specimens. Working out of this project, Dr. Lee developed the SNUA herbarium (Herbarium of The Arboretum of Seoul National University) as the best University herbarium in Korea for the modem floristic work. Dr. Lee's first interest rests on his contributions to our understanding of the twig identification in early 1950. Asian deciduous oak taxa have attracted particular focus to him late 1950 and early 1960. Accordingly Dr. Lee has been one of the specialists on systematic study of Asian oak which is a basis of identification in eastern Asia now. Dr. Lee's contributions concerning rare and endangered plants in Korea provide a tremendous information after a Japanese taxonomist, T. Nakai did in early 1920 to late 1930 in Korea. During his fourteen year career from 1970 to 1984, Dr. Lee spent time to investigate flora of many local and National Park sites. Much of his effort was directed to the voucher specimens for which he worked for the Illustrated Flora of Korea and also served as a field collector. These collections at SNUA enabled us to extend our educational outreach from the local to the national flora research. Although Dr. Lee has been and continues to be the soul of SNUA, collection records about his purpose and aim for each trip are not well documented except date and field studied sites. This lesson enables us to tackle the same issue of balancing quantity and quality with well documented specimens now.
Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate ICU nurses' perceptions of communication difficulties, the importance of and satisfaction with communication with doctors, other nurses, patients, and family, as well as to explore communication barrier with patient families. Methods: Investigators developed a 15-item communication perception questionnaire and 58-item communication barrier questionnaire. Communication barrier included 4 domains: nurses, family, environment, and patient condition. A total of 151 ICU nurses with a minimum of one year of ICU experience participated. Results: ICU patients ($3.38{\pm}0.73$) were the most difficult group to communicate with, followed by family ($3.32{\pm}0.72$), senior nurses ($3.25{\pm}0.74$), doctors ($3.21{\pm}0.68$), and nurse colleagues ($2.64{\pm}0.73$). Doctors ($4.61{\pm}0.53$) were the most important group to communicate with, followed by nurse colleagues ($4.52{\pm}0.54$), patients ($4.49{\pm}0.58$), senior nurses ($4.44{\pm}0.55$), and family ($4.43{\pm}0.61$). Satisfaction with communication was the highest with colleague nurses ($3.60{\pm}0.68$), then senior nurses ($3.37{\pm}0.74$), family ($3.18{\pm}0.71$), patients ($3.09{\pm}0.75$), and doctors ($3.06{\pm}0.83$).The total score of the communication barrier was $2.83{\pm}0.52$, where each domain was scored as follows: patient condition $3.13{\pm}0.74$, nurses $2.83{\pm}0.60$, environment $2.81{\pm}0.66$, and family $2.76{\pm}0.57$. The ICU nurses reported that communication was difficult due to 'sudden deterioration in the patient's condition', 'being too busy', 'a noisy environment', and 'information not being shared between family members.' Significant differences were noted by age, clinical experience, and marital status of nurse respondents. Conclusion: The findings indicated that development of a protocol on communication between nurses and doctors as well as development of an educational program on communication skills are necessary.
The purpose of this study is to see how the stability of posture due to elastic band during plank movement affects walking. Thirty healthy men in their 20s were given a total of 30 minutes of 10 general plank exercises, 10 plank exercises with two hip joints adduction, and 10 plank exercises with one hip joint adduction. The plank movement was conducted three times a week for a total of six weeks, with a five-minute warm-up. The results of this study are as follows: There was a significant difference between period and group interactions on cadence (p<0.05), with significant difference between the period and group between the left foot on stride length of the left side foot (p<0.05), with significant difference between the period and the period of the interaction between the right foot and the period on stride length of the right side foot (p<0.05), and a one-step change between the right foot and the military interaction on Step time of the right side foot(p<0.05). The conclusion of this study is that the resistance movement on the adduction of both hips increases the instability of the trunk over the normal plank movement and adduction of one hip, thereby enhancing walking ability along with the stability of the trunk.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the perception and actual condition of early childhood teachers about the activities of cooperative art in early childhood education institutions. The subjects of the study were 280 teachers of early childhood education institutions in Y city. The research method was a questionnaire survey on the perception and actual condition of the cooperative art activities. For the research problems, frequency, percentage, and average were calculated by using descriptive statistics, and t - test, F - test, and ${\chi}^2$ - test were conducted to examine the differences according to background variables of early childhood teachers. In conclusion, this study showed that the need for cooperative art activities of early childhood education institutions was highly perceived, and there were significant differences according to the background variables of teachers in educational goals, contents and method. There were significant differences according to the teachers' background variables in the actual cooperative art activities in terms of frequency, method, time, evaluation method, teacher training and support. Based on the results of this study, various supporting methods such as activities plan and method, teacher education and training appropriate for the cooperative art activity program and the presentation of young children are sought so that more desirable and efficient cooperative art activities can be operated in the field of early childhood education suggesting that it should be done.
