This study was conducted to validate the effects of the disabled like program on the interest, attitude, satisfaction with daily life and sympathy among nursing university students. Overall, 70 nursing students were investigated in this study. The program contents included experiences simulating those of physically and visually handicapped persons. On the first day of the program, two study assistants measured the general characteristics, interest level, attitude, satisfaction with daily life, sympathy and meaning of nursing among study subjects. These factors were then measured again using the same form after completion of the program. The interest level among disabled persons was significantly increased after the program (t=-6.191, p<0.001), and also seven items on the attitude changes to the disabled persons were significant (p<0.001). After the program, participant's satisfaction with their daily lives increased significantly (t=-5.465, p<0.001), as did their sympathy for disabled persons (t=-6.125, p<0.001). In addition, the meaning of nursing increased significantly after the program (t=-6.125, p<0.001). Taken together, the results of this study showed that the disabled like program experience had positive educational effects.

This study was conducted to investigate the relationship among major satisfaction (MS), clinical competence (CC), career decision-making self-efficacy (CDMS), and career decision level (CDL) for undergraduate nursing students. A self-report instrument was used to measure MS, CC, CDMS, and CDL. Questionnaires were completed by 307 nursing students in three nursing colleges, and path analysis was employed to validate the proposed model and analyze the causal relationships among variables. Four constructs (MS, CC, CDMS, and career decision) were analyzed. To build a path model, MS and CC were linked to CDMS and career decision. The initial analysis suggested that the modification needed modification; therefore, a covariance link was added. The overall goodness of fit for indices indicated satisfactory path analysis. The indices were revealed as $x^2=2412$, GFI=0.996, AGFI=0.961, and RMSEA=0.068. As a result, the proposed model was acceptable with a good fit, and there were significant direct and indirect effects of paths in the model. Specifically, MS and CC had a direct influence on CDMS, and MS and CDMS directly affected CDL. Moreover, MS and CC had indirect effects on CDL through CDMS. These results imply that students' CDMS should be seriously considered when designing counseling programs for career guidance, and substantiality of CC education is needed to improve CDMS. These results may provide a practical guideline to provide educational intervention for nursing students.

This study examines the effects of children's play activities through forest experience on their parents' expectation and multiple intelligence improvement. To achieve this, an empirical survey was conducted by applying a structural equation model to 152 parents with children. As a result, first, physical and cognitive factors were adopted, and social factors were rejected in the factors that influence the physical, social, and cognitive factors of children's forest experience play activities on parents' expectation of children's safety activities and concern about fine dust. Second, their physical, social and cognitive factors affected their sociality among sub-factors of multiple intelligence improvement. Their social and cognitive spontaneities significantly affected their sensitivity and creativity improvements. Third, parents' expectation did not appear to play a significant mediating role in the effect of play activity through forest experience on multiple intelligence improvement. This study has confirmed that their physical and cognitive factors of play activities through forest experience are directly affected by their parents' concern about fine dust and expectation of their safe activities, and has suggested that their sociality can be thoroughly learned through various educational programs in daycare centers, which is somewhat far from their parents' expectation of their play activities through forest experience.
The purpose of this study is to define the effects of the roles played by the Doulas : one group educated on the conventional Lamaze method known to have effects on birth pang during delivery process and the other group educated both on Lamaze and therapeutic touch. On the various factors of delivery, and thereby, provide for some basic data to develop an effective nursing intervention to relieve women of their birth pang. 136 mothers who were hospitalized in a general hospital from June 13, 1998 to May 13, 1998 to May 13, 1999 to deliver their first babies were sampled to be divided into control group, test group I and test group II and thus be subject to interviews and observations. As for the tool of study, melzack's(1975) 'pain scale', McCaffery's(1972) and Mcrachlan's(1974) 'pain expression scales' and Spielberger's (1975) 'anxiety scale' were used. The preparatory educational programs consisted of 5week Lamaze method and therapeutic touch. The research, design was quasi-experimental, non equivalent, posttest only control group design. The collected data were processed using the SPSS/PC statistics software for frequencies, means and one-way Anova as well as Tukey HSD and Scheffe test as post hoc for individual comparison. Moreover, chi-square test was used to test the differences between groups, while Pearson's correlation coefficients were analyzed to determine the correlations between anxiety and variables. The findings are as follows ; 1. The birth pain of the mothers delivering first babies scored in a subjective and objective pain scale; 1) There was a significant difference of subjective birth pain at 8~10cm opening of cervix between control group and two test groups. 2) There was no significant difference of objective birth pain as per opening of cervex among three groups in terms of sweating, facial movement, bodily posture and vocal changes. 2. There was no significant difference of trait anxiety among three groups. however, there was a significant difference of state anxiety during labor process between control group and two test groups. On the other hand, all the three groups showed a significantly lower level of anxiety during labor process than when they were carried to the hospital. 3. There was a significant difference of the time of total and first-stage labor among three groups, while there was a significant but small difference of the time elapsed from 8~10cm cervix open to the full among three groups. 4. Two test groups showed a higher frequency of natural deliveries than the control group. 5. Two test groups were subject to these drugs than the control group. In conclusion, it was found that the test group I and II showed a shorter delivery time than the control group, a higher frequency of natural delivery and a lesser use of anodyne or epidural. In particular, this study is significant to develop a nursing intervention service or a therapeutic touch which the nursing administrators can apply to their hospitals in marketing programs.
In order to satisfy consumers' various desires for music performance, as it is important how to form sympathy with consumers, it is significant for music performance planners to find out which values the audiences think important when it comes to music performance art. The purpose of this study is to examine a relationship among worth to watch, performance satisfaction and desire of respectating that the audience recognizes. A questionnaire survey was carried out on 182 participants who have gone to musical performances. As a result of the study, 'educational value', 'economical value', 'emotional value' and 'social value' of spectating music performance had positive effects on both 'watching satisfaction' and 'desire of respectating', and especially when it comes to spectating satisfaction, emotional value and economical value were the significant effects, and for desire of respectating, economical value and social value were significant. Also, it was found that spectating satisfaction had a positive relationship with a desire of respectating. As implications according to the result of the study, firstly, it is necessary for music performance planner or performing artist to inspire emotional value of audience in order to increase spectating satisfaction of the audience, and performances needs to be planned considering economical values. Secondly, in order to improve desire of respectating, it is important to analyze which elements can increase economical and social values of the audience.

The study investigated information about the effects of message framing on colorectal cancer(CRC) screening related health beliefs and compliance with the CRC screening test within the theoretical framework of the prospect theory and the Health belief model (HBM). This study was using a non-randomized controlled quasi-experimental design. One hundred and sixty-four in the industrial workers who were currently nonadherent to guidelines for receiving screening were assigned to one of three experimental conditions: (a) gain-framed message, (b) loss-framed message, and (c) general-framed message. CRC screening-related health beliefs was self-reported after the intervention. And the immunoassay Fecal Occult Blood Test (iFOBT) kit was collected at 1 week. The research finding were analyzed by $x^2$ test and one-way ANOVA using SPSS 21.0. The loss-framed message group had higher perceived susceptibility, severity and benefit than the gain-framed message and general message. The participation rate for the immunoassay Fecal Occult Blood Test(iFOBT) was highest in the loss-framed message group. The loss framed messages more effective to enhance screening behavior. The present results provide a theoretical basis for developing educational guidelines for CRC testing and could be used for performing comprehensive approach by predicting and suggesting the practical effects according to message type in advance.
This study was conducted in order to test a model in relation to active coping strategy, academic resilience, and subjective happiness in college students. Also, sought to test the mediating effects of academic resilience in the relationship between active coping strategy and subjective happiness. Data was collected through a self-report questionnaire which was administered to 400 college students. Correlational analysis and structure equation modeling analysis were conducted to test the research models. The results were as follows: First, as the level of active coping strategy increased, the level of academic resilience and subjective happiness increased. Second, as the level of academic resilience increased, the level of subjective happiness increased. Third, the model with active coping strategy as a prophetic variable, academic resilience as a mediating variable, and subjective happiness as a result variable showed a full mediating effect. Thus, although active coping strategy has no direct influence on subjective happiness, it has an indirect effect on subjective happiness by enhancing academic resilience. The results of this study are expected to provide basic data on research and education for the improvement of happiness in college students and to help them develop educational counseling and training programs for improving their happiness and adapting to college life.

Club activities play an important role for college students in adapting to their college life. This study was therefore undertaken to investigate the effects of club activities on the communication skills and self-leadership of nursing students. Convenience sampling method was applied for 147 students enrolled in the nursing department of university in D city, of which 119 subjects participated in club activities. Data was collected from October 15 to November 30, 2019, and analyzed by applying 𝑥2 test, t-test, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis, using the IBM SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. Results: Communication skill and self-leadership were above the middle level. Depending on the club activities, significant differences were obtained for grade (𝑥2=8.07, p=0.045), major satisfaction (𝑥2=8.26, p=0.010), and communication skill and behavior-focused strategies (t=4.48, p=0.036). Factors affecting communication skill were behavior-focused strategies, constructive thought pattern strategies, and activeness amongst club activities. Therefore, the numerous club activity experiences of subjects helped improve the communication skill which, in turn, helps improve self-leadership. Our study indicates the necessity to seek an educational strategy that encourages active club activities of nursing students, for improving the core competencies of professional nurses, encompassing communication skills and self-leadership.

In the non-face-to-face learning environment forced into effect by the COVID-19 pandemic, online learning is being adopted as a major educational technique. Given the lack of research on how online learning patterns affect academic performance, this study focuses on the number and duration of online video learning sessions as a major factor based on midterm and final exams, and with a formative assessment for each type of learning. The correlation of the learning effects was analyzed. The analysis focused on computer programming subjects, which are among the most difficult liberal arts subjects for arts and science students at the university level. The analysis of cases of actual students showed no correlation among weekly formative assessments, the number of learning sessions, and the learning duration. On the other hand, the number of learning sessions (r=.39 p<0.05) and learning duration (r=.42 p<0.05) were correlated with the midterm and final exams. Elements, such as SMS text, bulletin board, and e-mail, were excluded from the analysis because not all students have access to them. Therefore, the results can be improved if future analysis of the students' learning patterns in a non-face-to-face lecture environment is performed considering more factors/elements and the learners' needs.
