성인 남성의 교육수준 및 생활습관에 따른 비만위험도 (The Relation of Educational Level and Life-Style Behaviors to Obesity in Adult Males)

  • This study examined the relations of educational level and life-style behaviors to the obesity. A total of 507 male adults aged 30 - 50 years completed the self-reported questionnaires. Educational level was used for measuring socioeconomic status. Activity at work, leisure-time activity and TV watching were measured for life-style behaviors related to physical activity, and some demographic and family history of disease as well. Subjects were categorized as obese when BMI was equal to or over 25kg/$m^2$, in which 19.7% resulted obesity. Using multivariate logistic regression, the association between the measured factors and obesity was assessed. The odds ratios (OR) for risk of obesity did not differ with either age or monthly income. Subjects who completed high school (OR = 0.36; 95% CI = 0.20 - 0.66) or university (OR = 0.34; 95% CI = 0.16 - 0.71) had lower risk of obesity than those with education below middle school. Those with moderate activity level at work (OR = 0.41; 95% CI = 0.24 - 0.72) showed lower risk of obesity than in inactive ones. The subjects watching TV more than 3.5 hr/day presented higher risk of obesity (OR = 2.46; 95% CI = 1.28 - 4.74), compared with those watching TV less than 1.5 hr/day. The higher risk of obesity observed in high level of leisure time activity than in low one was considered due to that physical activity at work and leisure-time might counteract each other. Educational level and activity at work or leisure-time activity or TV watching were jointed and categorized, and then OR for obesity was estimated. The extent of obesity risk at a given level of each work activity or leisure-time activity or TV watching was different depending the educational level, which was significantly high when educational level was below middle school. Educational difference had no effect on activity level at work. However, higher educational attainment increased the leisure activity and reduced TV watching (p<0.05), indicating that low education tended to contribute to more sedentary life-style. The findings of this study is concluded that low education was related to obesity in adult males, and its relation can partly be explained through acquiring inactive life-style behaviors. Individuals with low education might be more susceptible to the risk factors of obesity.

대학기숙사 교육기능공간의 매개변수를 통한 인과분석 (Causal Analysis of Education Function Space Parameters of University Dormitory)

  • This study aims to examine the educational function space of university dormitories at local universities with corridor centered structure in Honam area regions based on direct and indirect parameters on the whole satisfaction of users in residential environment factors and personal characteristics. First, according to relations among parameters, educational and cultural activities of four major activities within the dormitory had indirect influences on social activities, eating and sleeping activities had no direct influence on other activities. And social activity had direct influence on the general satisfaction as an important parameter and educational and cultural activities had indirect influence on the whole satisfaction through social activities. Detailed results show that, in the first educational activities directly affecting the lighting and air conditioning facilities (0.22), safety (0.326), Territoriality (0.327), the space density (-0.167), directions (-0.166) and yeohyang having personal characteristics and the safety of the second cultural activities (0.183), Territoriality (0.361), Aesthetics (-0.13) and the personal characteristics Sex (-0.179), the direct effect, third, and erosion has a direct impact on activity The flexibility of the space factor (-0.128) and Territoriality (0.38) and the personal characteristics grade (0.172), respectively. Fourth in social activities directly affecting the pathfinding (-0.104), and parameter, education (0.388) and cultural activities (0.445), and some of the factors affecting the indirect lighting and air conditioning facilities, safety, and Territoriality, the space density, directions, grade, they could influence through educational activities to be analyzed. That is, territoriality in educational function space is the important factor that users react very sensitively in educational, eating and sleeping activities and educational function space must secure area and division considering personal and public use as the space accommodating activity which is lacking in unit residential space. Accordingly, the safety of educational function space in university dormitory is considered as the fundamental safety matter on the fire prevention, hygiene and cleanness for users in the satisfaction of educational and cultural activities.

신증후군 환아 어머니의 교육요구와 간호사가 인지한 교육활동의 중요도에 관한 탐색적 연구 (The Educational Needs of Mothers of Nephrotic Syndrome Patients and the Degree of the Importance of Educational Activity Perceived by Nurses)

  • This is descripitive study conducted to identify educational needs of mothers of nephrotic syndrome patients and the degree of the importance of educational activity perceived by nurses who look after nephrotic syndrome patients. The study subjects were composed of 60 mothers & 63 nurses of nephrotic syndrome patients whose children were hospitalized in 2 Pediatric wards of University Hospital in Seoul and 1 in Pusan from Mar. in 1997 to July 1997. A questionaire for this study was item Kikert type 5 point scale, developed on the basis of previous literature and researcher's clinical experience and the reliability of the used instruments was α=.97. The data analysis was done by SAS. t-test, and ANOVA were done to determine the effect of general characteristics of subjects on their educational needs. T-test was done to measure relations between the degree of educational needs and importance of educational activity. The results were as follows. 1. The Educational needs of mothers ranked as the highest in home care. 2. In character of mothers, the degree of education, economic state, the number of child and occupation was significant in statistically. 3. The importance of educational activity of nurses ranked the highest in diagnosis and treatment of the disease. 4. The educational needs of nephrotic syn. children' mother and importance of nurses were different in diagnosis and treatment of the disease and home care. On the basis of these results, we suggest as follows. 1. It is proposed that nurses use these results of the study actively for the educational program for Nephrotic Syndrome patients and their mothers. 2. It is suggested to make a comparative study of the degree of nurses' understanding of the importance on educational items with the instruments of this study.

  • The society seeks creative talents. Expressive activities are educational activities that stimulate imagination, realize such through body, and enable communication with the society. In such perspective, it is quite meaningful to investigate educational objective that expressive activity shall possess as class to cultivate creativity. Therefore, this study aims to investigate creativity theory, analyze expressive activities as national curriculum at elementary schools, understand the position of expressive activities in Korea, and understand creative educational objective and value of expressive activities, in order to suggest idea for practical goal of expressive activities.

듀이의 활동중심 탐구과정에 담긴 교육의 내용과 방법의 통합 (Exploring the Integration of Educational Contents and Methods in Dewey's Activity-based Inquiry Process)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate critically the existing educational contents and methods on knowledge uncombined with our lives and to explore directions for the integration of educational contents and methods on practical knowledge. For this, firstly, this study selected and analyzed Traditionalism and Progressivism as exclusively opposite approach to education, in particular, the aspect of contents and methods. Next, it explored to define Dewey's activity-based inquiry process. Finally, it showed that the educational contents and methods could not be separated in Dewey's activity-based inquiry process. As a result, educational contents and methods in educational practice were experiences as things integrated. Therefore, knowledge for education has been emphasized as meaningful results that learners have experienced. Once the learners recognize the value and meaning of knowledge, they will be able to internalize the genuine knowledge, moreover they will be self-directed learners. In other words, if learners could discovered their own meaning and value of knowledge in the inquiry process, they have sustainable needs, trying to be involved in the new process based on the knowledge they earned.

누리과정 교사용 지도서에 나타난 구강보건 관련 교육활동 분석 (Analysis on educational activity related to oral health contained in teachers guidebook of the Nuri curriculums)

  • 본 연구는 누리과정 교사용 지도서에 나타난 구강보건 관련 교육활동을 조사하고자 실시하였다.구강보건 관련 교육 활동의 분포, 형태 및 유형, 누리과정 관련요소 내용범주 및 내용 등을 분석하였다. 구강보건 관련 교육활동 수는 총 29(1.37%)로 조사되었다. 활동형태는 대 소집단 활동이 15(51.72%), 자유선택 활동이 14(48.27%)로 나타났다. 활동유형은 대 소집단 활동에서 이야기 나누기가 7(24.13%)로 가장 많았고 자유선택 활동에서는 음율 영역이 4(13.79%)로 가장 많게 나타났다. 누리과정 관련요소(5대 영역)는 전체 연령에서 신체운동 건강이 22(34.38%)로 가장 많았다. 본 연구결과를 기초로 향후 누리과정 교사용 지도서 편성시 구강보건 전문가가 참여하여 구강보건 관련 교육활동이 더 많아지고 보다 균형 있고 실제적인 활동으로 재편성이 필요하리라 사료된다.

사이버대학교 사회복지학 전공자들의 학습참여동기와 학업만족도 (A Study Exploring the Relationship of Educational Participatory Motivation and Educational Satisfaction among Adult Social Work Students of a Cyber University)

  • 연구는 서울시내 소재의 사이버대학교 사회복지전공자들을 대상으로 학습참여동기 유형의 수준과 학습참여동기가 학업만족도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보기 위해 수행되어졌다. 본 연구는 총 196명의 자료를 실증적으로 분석함으로써, 사이버대학교 사회복지전공자들의 학업만족도를 향상시키는 방안에 대한 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 주요한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학습참여동기의 수준은 목적지향동기, 학습지향동기, 활동지향동기의 순으로 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 학습참여동기가 학업만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 연령, 그리고 세 가지 유형의 학습참여동기가 모두 학업만족도에 영향을 미치고 있었다. 그리고 설명력의 크기는 목적지향동기, 학습지향동기, 활동지향동기의 순이었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같은 제언을 하였다. 첫째, 사이버대학교 사회복지전공 성인학습자들은 목적지향동기를 충족시킬 수 있는 교과과정의 충실을 포함한 교육환경개선 방안에 대한 노력이 필요하다. 둘째, 비교적 학업만족도 수준이 낮게 나타날 수 있는 젊은 연령층 학생의 학업욕구의 파악과 반영이 필요하다. 셋째, 배움과 자격증, 학위 등의 동기 외에 사회복지전공자들의 이타적인 성향을 반영한 활동지향적 동기를 충족시킬 수 있는 방안 등의 모색이 필요하다.

자연체험활동에서 교사-학습자간의 상호작용에 관한 문화기술적 사례 연구 (An Ethnographic Case Study on Interaction between a Teacher and Learners in Nature Experience Activity)

  • This study aimed to discern the educational meaning of nature experience activity in a nonformal educational program in Korea, focusing on the interaction between a teacher and learners. To achieve this objective, an ethnographic research method was employed using an environmental educational program for children in a nonformal setting. The results of study are as followings. Firstly, the teacher's belief-"young ecologist" shaped its own characteristics of the program. Secondly, the children had a understanding that they learn something about nature(e.g. learning by seeing, dlscovering, recollecting, and awakening). The analysis of teachers' ideas and learners' attitude toward nature experience shows that there exists a gap between the teachers' expectations and the actual ecological changes in the learners' ideas. However, the educational meaning of nature experience can be understood by the unique type of interaction between a teacher and learners. In conclusion, on the basis of this study, it is suggested that educators should be aware of the fact that nature experience can conttribute significantly to the education of children not just from the encounter with nature but also philosophically with regard to our connectedness with nature. Bringing nature into educational contexts can help children to take part in thoughtful perspectives of learning and to devise their own appropriate nature experience.

만 5세 누리과정 교사용 지도서에 수록된 유아인권 관련 교육내용 분석 (A Study on the Educational Contents on Child's Human Rights in a Manual of the Nuri Curriculum for 5 Year Old)

  • 본 연구는 만 5세 누리과정 교사용 지도서에 수록된 유아인권 관련 교육내용을 활동 유형 및 흥미영역, 5개영역, 생활주제별로 분석준거에 의해 분석되었다. 연구결과 첫째, 활동 유형 및 흥미영역에 나타난 유아인권 관련 교육내용은 대 소집단 활동, 자유선택활동, 바깥놀이 활동순의 빈도로 높게 나타났으며 그 가운데 교육과 휴식이 가장 높은 빈도를 보였다. 둘째, 5개 영역 가운데 유아인권 관련 교육내용을 가장 많이 다루고 있는 영역은 사회관계 영역으로 나타났으며, 그 중 참여가 가장 많이 다루어지고 있는 인권관련 교육내용으로 파악되었다. 반면 가장 적게 다루어지고 있는 영역은 신체운동 건강영역으로 나타났다. 셋째, 유아인권 관련 교육내용을 가장 많이 다루고 있는 주제는 '봄, 여름, 가을, 겨울'이었으며, '나와 가족'의 주제에서는 가장 낮은 빈도의 유아인권 관련 교육내용을 다루고 있었다. 또한 전체 생활주제 가운데 교육과 휴식이 가장 높은 빈도의 유아인권 관련 교육내용으로 다루어지고 있는 반면, 학대와 방임(폭력)의 유아인권 관련 교육내용은 전체 생활주제에서 전혀 다루어지고 있지 않았다. 본 연구결과를 통해 유아인권 관련활동을 균형 있게 계획하고 전개하는데 도움을 주며, 초등학교와 연계된 인권교육 프로그램의 활동을 구성하는 데에도 중요한 기초자료를 제공하고자한다. 더 나아가 유아를 위한 체계적인 유아인권교육에 관한 프로그램을 개발하는데 있어서도 기초적인 정보를 제공하는데 의의가 있다.
