The salt accumulation on the soil surface can be mathematically described. Although the movement of salts in soil solution is expressed in terms of mathematical model, which has certain limitations in practical application, except the exchangeable and absorbable state salts in soil solution. This model is illustrated by analyticl experiments in which evaporation from the bare soils, transpiration of plants and rainfall are required. Agreement between the model and the measured data was satisfactory, which validating the salt accumulation theory on the soil surface.

The purpose of this study is to examine the mathematical creativity problem-solving ability of middle school students gifted in mathematics. For this research, we examined and analyzed the responses to two multiple solution problems of the gifted students with classifying the four categories; fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration which are the factors of the creativity, and comparing with responses of usual students.

The purpose of this study is to improve the experiments of supplementary gravimeter in elementary school. The developing procedures of the experiments of supplementary gravimeter are as follows. First, we investigated the solutions which indicated the largest difference of the supplementary gravimeter between the dilute and concentrated solution. Second, we investigated the improvement of the supplementary gravimeter. Considering the price and safety of the chemical and easy making of the supplementary gravimeter, supplementary gravimeter of rubber-clay with the solution of the unrefined-sugar can be used effectively in experiment for elementary school.

In this paper, we shall give an affirmative answer to the question raised by Kim and Tan [1] dealing with generalized vector quasi-variational inequalities which generalize many existence results on (VVI) and (GVQVI) in the literature. Using the maximal element theorem, we derive two theorems on the existence of weak solutions of (GVQVI), one theorem on the existence of strong solution of (GVQVI), and one theorem on strong solution in the 1-dimensional case.

In this paper we introduce the reciprocal-negative Fermat's equation induced by the famous equation in the Fermat's Last Theorem, establish the general solution in the simplest cases and the differential solution to the equation, and investigate, then, the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability in a $quasi-{\beta}-normed$ space with both the direct estimation method and the fixed point approach.

We study a continuous data assimilation algorithm for the three-dimensional simplified Bardina model utilizing measurements of only two components of the velocity field. Under suitable conditions on the relaxation (nudging) parameter and the spatial mesh resolution, we obtain an asymptotic in time estimate of the difference between the approximating solution and the unknown reference solution corresponding to the measurements, in an appropriate norm, which shows exponential convergence up to zero.

Aggregation behavior of three kinds of benzindocarbocyanine dyes in aqueous methanol solution was studied by UV-Vis absorption spectrum. The results indicated that the three dyes all existed monomer-dimer equilibrium in aqueous methanol solution (concentration range $10^{−5}\;to\;10^{−6}$ M) at 25.0$\sim$41.0 ${^{\circ}C}$ for Dye 1, 28.0$\sim$49.0 ${^{\circ}C}$ for Dye 2 and 26.0$\sim$47.0 ${^{\circ}C}$ for Dye 3. The fundamental property of the three dyes as the dimeric association constant KD, the dimeric free energy ${\Delta$}G_D, the dimeric entropy ${\Delta$}S_D, and the dimeric enthalpy ${\Delta$}H_D were determined. The ${\Delta$}H_D of three dyes: Dye 1, Dye 2 and Dye 3 was -42.5, -15.1 and -18.9 kJ/mol, respectively. The experimental observations were the subject of a theoretical study including the ground-state geometries which were fully optimized using DFT at B3LYP/6-31G level. The effect of dye molecule structure on ${\Delta$}H_D was discussed by theoretical calculations.
