In many countries, secondary school science is no longer solely for those destined for careers in science, medicine or engineering and both boys and girls study biology, chemistry and physics. In Japan, secondary science has been studied by boys and girls as a compulsory subject since the establishment of the modem school system in the late 19th Century. However, although 'science for all' is becoming the norm, it appears that science is less popular with girls than it is with boys, and that lower-attaining students are not adequately catered for in Japan and elsewhere. In this paper, the author investigates gender issues in the secondary science curriculum and examines the curriculum for future scientists using a historical perspective and focusing on the case of Japan. An analysis of two historical issues, gender and the curriculum for future scientists, found that, firstly, the science curriculum needs to contain a clear statement of its aims, and, secondly, that the secondary science teacher is one of the most important factors influencing science teaching particularly for girls. ost important factors influencing science teaching especially for girls.

교과 교육의 핵심은 교과의 교육 목표에 맞게 교육 내용을 선정하고 조직하는 것이다. 본 연구의 목적은 미래 사회의 변화에 대비하여 과학교육 내용의 개선 방안을 마련하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 과학교육 내용 개선을 위한 방안을 찾고자 했다. 우선 과학교육 내용 개선에 관하여 그동안의 선행 연구 분석과 앞서의 교육 내용 변화 분석을 통해 나타난 교육 내용과 관련된 주요 쟁점을 도출하였다. 교과 교육 내용의 본질, 배경, 선정, 구조화 측면에 입각하여 과학교육에서 내용의 본질, 교육과정 변화의 사회문화적 배경, 교육과정 내용 선정 절차의 합리성, 교과별 핵심 내용의 선정, 학년 간 개념의 수준과 위계성, 교육 내용의 국제 비교, 교육 내용의 현대화, 내용의 재구조화 방안을 교육 내용 개선을 쟁점으로 보았다. 추출된 쟁점의 의미를 보다 구체화하여 각 쟁점별로 구체적인 문제점이 무엇이고 어떠한 개선 방안이 있는지 찾기 위해 전문가 집단을 구성하여 의견을 수렴하고 분석하였다. 전문가 집단은 전공과 학교급을 고려하여 19명을 선정하였으며, 각 쟁점별 동의 정도와 문제점 및 개선 방안을 구체적으로 조사하였다. 구체적인 개선방안은 과학교육 내용의 본질의 대한 의견을 수렴 및 합의, 영역별 핵심내용을 선정, 교육 내용 간 통합과 연계 구조도를 개발, 과학 탐구의 목표를 학년별로 명시적 제시, 통합 교과를 지향 및 교과서 구성의 다양화 등이다.

The purpose of this study was to reveal controversial issues on Stages of Concern(SoC), which is one of the dimensions of Concerns Based Adoption Model(CBAM). To achieve the purpose, documental analysis was employed. The theoretical framework to analyze literature consisted of three categories including stages, measurements, and applications. Based on the framework, controversial issues on SoC were discussed regarding arguments of CBAM developers and critics. The researchers of this study suggested their own opinions on the issues after thorough examination of CBAM developer's arguments and oppositions against them. Finally, suggestions for further studies on issues of SoC and studies measuring SoC were made.

The current and ethnic issues represented in child-rearing practices of Korean-Chinese families in YanBian, China, were studied with the participation of 7 primary caregivers (4 mothers and 3 grandmothers) of young children who were interviewed and observed in their homes. Current issues were categorized as competitive bilingual ability, expectations about third language learning (English), expectations of high academic accomplishment and early education, and economic challenges in parenting. Ethnicity issues included ethnic pride as Korean-Chinese, conflicts of ethnic education, participation in local Korean culture, and rearing the child to have the self-expressive and assertive characteristics of typical Korean children. Results were discussed in terms of understanding and supporting child-rearing of minorities and families with multi-cultural background.

According to the rapid change of the modern society, science & technology influences the society significantly. Thus, Korean education, especially the science education must be reviewed in the terms of that, the purpose of this article is to introduce social, environmental context's science education-STS education. STS education is to arise the ability of the democratic decision-making & participating in a discussion. The areas of this are knowledge, process, creativity, attitude, application. Also there are social issues approach & the social studies of science approach in the STS education. The social issues approach is the predominant approach to STS education; the social studies of science approach is often found in the form of goals & objectives for STS education. In order to introduce STS education to Korean science education,this author suggests the following; 1. The relation between science & society in science education must be emphasized more. 2. The study and development of STS education appropriate for Korean society must be preceded. 3. The new course about STS and technical education in the level of college must be developed.

대학도서관 이용교육 분야는 오랜 기간 동안 매우 관심 있게 다루어져 왔으며, 그 변화의 양상 또한 괄목할 만하다. 특히 최근에는 관련연구의 생산도 증가하고 있다. 이 글은 최근에 생산된 대학도서관 이용교육 분야 연구의 동향을 분석함으로써 관련연구의 경향과 논지의 방향성을 재고하고자 하였다. 관련연구들을 중심으로 대학교육의 본질과 대학도서관 이용교육의 내용과 동향을 분석하였으며, 대학도서관 봉사의 본질로서의 독서효율에 대한 관심이 중요하다는 점을 지적하였다. 또한 대학교육의 비판적 기능, 도서관 이용교육과 독서 및 도서관 이용 문제, 그리고 대학도서관 교육의 정치적 측면에 대한 제안이 결론적으로 제시되었다.

다양성과 관련된 문제는 글로벌 시대의 도래와 함께 사회 전반에서 매우 중요한 이슈로 다루어지고 있다. 이러한 이슈는 교육의 영역에서도 강조되고 있으며 역사적으로 교육적 혜택으로부터 소외되어 왔던 사회적 그룹들에 대한 신중한 고려가 요구되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 학교 내 다양성 문제를 해결하기 위한 미국의 사례를 구체적으로 소개하고 우리나라 교육에서 다양성 문제를 다루기 위해 적용할 수 있는 시사점에 대해 논의하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 미국 스미스소니언 과학교육센터의 프로그램 내용과 2019년-2020년도에 참여한 교사들을 대상으로 수행된 설문조사 결과를 구체적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 해당 프로그램은 다양성과 관련된 문제에 대해 다양한 관점에 대한 경험을 제공하고, 문제 상황과 원인에 대해 그 의미를 심도 있게 다룰 수 있도록 지원하며, 목표와 실행 계획을 구체적으로 설정하고 결과 예상을 통해 평가 및 수정할 수 있도록 안내하는 등의 특징을 보였다. 이러한 특징은 참여자들에게 학습과 경험, 그리고 문제 해결을 위한 방향의 설정에 있어서 의미있는 효과를 보이고 있었다. 이러한 내용은 우리나라 교육이 현재 그리고 앞으로 직면하게 될 학교 내 다양성 문제를 다루기 위한 방안을 구상하는 데 있어서 매우 중요한 시사점을 제공한다.

정보사회가 고도화됨에 따라 의견의 다양성과 복잡성이 증대되어 이들로 부터 중요한 이슈를 도출해내고 문제 상황을 정확하게 파악하여 대응하는 일이 더욱 어려워지고 있다. 이에 따라 교육계에서는 기존의 담론과 쟁점 이외에도 변화되는 사회에 발맞추어 새롭게 등장하는 이슈를 발굴하여 대응할 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 국민청원 게시판에 작성된 육아와 교육 카테고리의 글을 분석하여 교육계의 주된 이슈를 도출해 내고자 하였다. 텍스트 마이닝 방법 가운데 하나인 토픽모델링을 활용하여 분석한 결과, 현재 교육 분야의 주요 이슈를 교육 관련법, 대학입시, 교육 관련 범죄, 교육환경, 유·초등교육, 교원처우, 교육정책, 고등교육, 중등교육 등의 9개 주제로 구분할 수 있었고, 이들을 주제 간의 관계를 시각화하여 제시하였다. 본 연구는 국민들의 여론을 수집한 후 주제별로 구분하여 중요 이슈를 도출하였다는 점에서 의의를 가진다.

The shortage of R&D personnel and the lower productivity of SMEs are critical issues in strengthening SMEs. Government provides various policies to deal with these issues. The aim of this paper is to analyze current status and policy issues of R&D personnel and to suggest policy alternatives to improve the availability of R&D personnel in SMEs.

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze secondary school chemistry education in Korea and China in order to identify implications for the improvement of Korean chemistry education. The school systems, curricula, and teacher education related to secondary chemistry education of both countries were compared and analyzed. The 6-3-3-4 school system is used in both countries, and national school curricula are formulated by the Ministries of Education in both countries. The 1996 chemistry curricular standard for advanced middle schools in China, and 1997 chemistry curriculum for Korean high schools were compared in several aspects, followed by comparisons of chemistry teacher education in both countries. Based on the comparative analysis of chemistry education, some ideas and issues which provide implications for improving Korean high school chemistry education were identified. Chemistry teaching in the junior secondary schools, tentative implementation of curricula, required course work in chemistry, structure of curricula, oral assessments, probation of teachers and other issues are identified and discussed in this study.
