유아교육기관에서의 유아영재 대상 차별화 교육 실태 및 지원요구 (The Realities of the Differentiated Education for the Gifted Child and Support Needs in the Early Childhood Education Institutions)

  • 본 연구에서는 유아교육기관에서의 유아영재 대상 차별화 교육 실태와 지원 요구를 조사하였다. 설문조사는 서울과 경기, 인천 지역의 유치원과 어린이집 및 기타(영어유치원 및 놀이학교) 유아교육기관에서 근무하는 교사 및 원장을 대상으로 실시하였으며, 최종 수집된 설문지는 총 309부였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 유치원, 어린이집, 기타기관 등의 유아교육기관에는 유아영재 대상의 차별화 교육을 위한 인프라가 충분히 구축되어 있지 않았다. 특히 유아영재를 위한 '차별화 교육 경험'이 세 기관 모두 보통보다 낮은 수준이었다. 둘째, 유아교육기관에서의 유아영재 대상 차별화 교육에 대한 교사의 요구도는 세 기관 모두 필요수준에 비해 현재 수준이 현저히 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 정규 유아교육기관에서 유아영재 대상으로 교육적 요구와 발달특성에 부합하는 차별화 교육 방향 모색에 필요한 기초자료를 제공한다는 측면에서 의의가 있다.

유아교육기관장의 유아체육교육기관에 대한 선택속성이 관계품질 및 충성도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Early Childhood Educational Institute Directors of Attributes for Selecting Physical Education Institutes for Preschooler on Relationship Quality and Loyalty)

  • 본 연구는 유아교육기관장의 유아체육교육기관에 대한 선택속성이 관계품질 및 충성도에 미치는 영향을 규명하는데 목적을 두었다. 이와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위해 부산광역시와 경상남도 소재의 유아교육기관장을 모집단으로 선정하였으며, 편의표집법을 이용하여 유아교육기관장 254명의 표본을 추출하였다. 이 중 불성실한 응답을 제외한 244부의 설문지가 분석에 이용되었다. 자료처리는 IBM SPSS 23.0 이용하여 빈도분석, 탐색적 요인분석, Cronbach's α 계수산출, 상관관계 분석 및 다중회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 유아교육기관장의 유아체육기관 선택속성 중 지도자 자질과 기관이미지는 관계만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 지도자 자질, 프로그램, 수업료 그리고 기관이미지는 관계신뢰에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아교육기관장의 유아체육기관 선택속성 중 지도자 자질과 수업료, 기관 이미지는 충성도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 유아교육기관장의 유아체육교육기관에 대한 관계품질은 충성도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

Development of Quality Management Indicators for Educational Institutions

  • The purpose of this study was to develop indicators for quality management of educational institutions, and to achieve this, literature analysis and expert interviews were conducted. Through literature analysis, the components of TQM were derived focusing on factors to improve the quality of education, engineering education accreditation standards, and a representative education accreditation system, were considered. Additionally, seven areas as well as 32 indicators required for education quality management, were derived by comparing the EFQM excellence model and the MBNQA education model, applied for quality management of companies and institutions. By comparing and synthesizing these results, a draft was developed for the quality management index of educational institution. Next, opinions on correction and supplementation of quality management indicators derived from literature analysis, were collected from five education experts. From the comparisons and integration of these results, eight criteria (leadership, strategy, customers, people, facilities and environment, curriculum management, curriculum improvement, and performance management) and 34 indicators, were proposed for quality management indicators for educational institutions. Curriculum management, people, and performance management criteria were considered more significantly in quality management of educational institutions, and several implications are suggested based on the study results.

유아교육기관과 부모의 효율적인 협력관계를 위한 부모들의 인식 (Parental Perceptions of the Relationship between Early Childhood Education Institutions and Parents)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate how parents saw the relationship between early years educational institutions and parents, and how these perceptions were influenced by parental background factors. A total of 334 parents who sent their child to a kindergarten participated in this study. The collected data were analyzed by Chisquared test, t-test, and one-way ANOVA. The results of this study were as follows. First, parents had a high level of interest in their child's education, but little actual knowledge about the contents and strategies of education in the kindergarten setting. Second, regarding parental participation in early childhood education institutions, necessity for parents's involvement in the institutions was relatively higher than the average. Third, when considering the relationship between staff in early childhood education institutions, i.e. kindergartens, and parents both teachers and parents hoped to form a relationship in which they could freely exchange their opinions.

영유아교육기관을 위한 저작권 교육 연수 요구조사 (A Study on demands of education training about copyright for infant and early childhood education institutions)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 영유아교육기관을 위한 저작권 교육 연수 요구를 분석하는데 있다. 본 연구에서는 영유아교육기관 원장과 교사 248명을 대상으로 영유아교육기관을 위한 저작권 교육 연수 요구를 조사하였다. 질문지를 사용하여 조사한 자료는 내용에 따라 빈도, 평균, 표준편차 등을 산출하였고, 기초 변인에 따른 차이를 알아보기 위해서 t-검증과 ANOVA 검증을 사용하였다. 영유아교육기관 원장과 교사는 소속기관, 직위, 교육경력 등에 따라서 저작권 교육 연수 요구가 다르게 나타났다. 저작권 교육 연수 주제로는 '영유아교육기관의 업무와 관련된 저작권의 이해'에 대한 요구가 가장 높게 나타났고, 연수 내용으로는 글자체(폰트)와 음원 사용 등의 저작권 침해에 대한 요구가 가장 높게 나타난 것으로 보아 영유아교육현장과 직접 관련있는 내용의 저작권 교육 요구가 높음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구결과는 영유아교육기관을 위한 저작권 교육 연수 프로그램 개발과 실행에 시사점을 제시하였다.

경향점수매칭을 통한 과학기술특성화대학 재학생의 학습참여(student engagement) 분석 : 일반 종합대학 이공계열 및 인문사회계열 학생과 비교 (Student Engagement of STEM-specialized Institutions : A Comparative Study Employing Propensity Score Matching(PSM))

  • This study investigated student engagement of STEM-specialized higher education institutions in comparison with students from humanities & social science and STEM majors, respectively. By doing so, the study aimed to find the effects of the characteristics of STEM disciplines and organizational culture of STEM-specialized small-sized institutions on student engagement. The students majoring STEM disciplines, regardless of the organizational types, showed lower reflective-integrative learning experiences compared to students on humanities & social science disciplines. In contrast, students of STEM-specialized institutions reported significantly higher levels of peer relationship and student-faculty interaction in comparison with humanities & social science students and STEM students of general higher education institutions. Finally, the study suggests policy implications for STEM education.

Sustainability education in textile and apparel programs in higher education - A web-based content analysis -

  • This study explores sustainability education in textile and apparel (T&A) programs in U.S. higher education institutions. Specifically, the researchers study whether more courses with sustainability focus are offered in higher-ranked institutions and explore whether sustainability is taught more in specific T&A related subject fields. Content analysis was conducted for 3,200 courses found in online course catalogs or the course information sites of 69 institutions. Institutions were selected from the 2015 rankings of the top 50 fashion design and top 50 fashion merchandising schools in the US on www.fashion-schools.org. All cases were coded by two coders with a Cohen's Kappa score of 97.5%, indicating good interrater reliability. Coded data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and t-tests. The findings show that sustainability is being integrated into the curricula and across courses of T&A programs in the U.S. Over half of the institution surveyed offered at least one sustainability embedded course. Higher ranked institutions provided more sustainability-related courses than power-ranked institutions. A natural match between the subject field and specific sustainability theme was observed (e.g., cultural diversity in history/culture and social psychology/education; recycle/reuse in textile science; sustainability in fashion design; social responsibility and ethics in industry/consumer). The need to introduce sustainability in courses holistically is discussed, whereby sustainability within the industry supply chain is examined in a connected way.

공공기관 경영진 행동의도에 영향을 미치는 안전혁신교육 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Safety Innovation Education Factors Affecting the Management's Behavioral Intentions in Public Institutions)

  • This study analyzed the factors affecting the educational effect of safety innovation education for management of public institutions. A survey was conducted on 294 CEOs and executive directors of public institutions (divided into construction sites, workplaces, and research facilities) subject to the safety management rating system to understand the impact of educational participants' characteristics and behavioral intentions after safety innovation education. As a result of statistical analysis, it was found that the executive director had a higher behavioral intention than the CEO, and the education quality, education instructor, and educational environment all had a significant positive (+) effect on the behavioral intention. This study can be used as basic data for further research related to safety innovation education for management of public institutions

Peculiarities of Education Quality Assurance in Lithuania

  • Achievement of objectives of education and training is one of significant factors influencing quality of life. Higher education institutions use different work, teaching methods and tools; however they are inadequate in many cases. Today higher education institutions have problems concerning sustention and rise of certain level of education by giving the job for graduates, using of new technologies that help to present, manage, evaluate and control knowledge. The main objectives of quality management system (QMS) at higher education institutions are as follow: to assure continuous improvement of education quality; to demonstrate performance results and relevant facts to the interested parties (customers of college or university, social partners, administrative institutions) showing the abilities of education institution to prepare high qualification specialists that fully correspond to changing requirements of labour market. The QMS at education institutions should be designed as continuous process, considering that the quality of final product is the result achieved in primary processes. The process shall involve all interested parties. Parameters and indicators of education quality can help to analyze the efficiency and effectiveness of existing QMS. The results of quality audits should be also taken into account when designing and implementing QMS at organization. Literature review showed that for the assurance of education quality three different approaches prevail: total quality management (TQM); requirements of quality awards and assessment models; and QMS corresponding to the requirements of ISO 9001 standard. The case study of QMS design and implementation at Vilnius Law and Business College is presented in the paper. The peculiarities, difficulties and obstacles of QMS implementation in the higher educations institutions are analysed in more detail in this article.

교육기관 정보보호 담당자의 정보보호 교육수요와 정보보호 교육센터의 교육과정과의 차이 (Difference between Information Security Education Demand of Information Security Employees and Curriculum of Information Security Education Center)

  • 교육기관이 보유한 개인정보 파일의 상당수는 개인의 학사정보, 건강정보 등 민감한 정보를 포함한다. 따라서 교육기관의 개인정보유출 사건이 발생할 경우 그 피해가 클 것으로 예상된다. 이러한 피해를 막기 위해 교육부는 2012년부터 교육기관의 (개인)정보보호 담당자를 대상으로 보안인식제고 및 보안기술능력 향상을 목표로 하는 정보보호 교육센터를 설립하여 운영하는 등 다양한 노력을 하고 있지만 여전히 공공기관에서 발생한 개인정보유출 사건의 상당수는 교육기관에서 발생하고 있다. 본 연구는 정보보호 교육센터의 교육과정이 교육대상의 교육수요에 적합하게 운영되고 있는지 확인하기 위해 다음과 같이 진행하였다. 대학의 정보보호 관련 전공 커리큘럼을 조사하여 정보보호 분야의 지식 및 기술 11개를 도출하였고, 정보보호 교육센터의 교육대상인 교육기관의 (개인)정보보호 담당자를 대상으로 정보보호 분야의 지식 및 기술 11개에 대한 교육수요를 조사하였다. 또한, 정보보호 교육센터의 교육과정을 조사하였으며, 이를 교육대상의 교육수요와 비교해보았다.
