The purpose of this study is to analyze influencing factors for the user satisfaction of information commons(IC) in school libraries. Relevant previous studies inform four candidate factors that could affect the user satisfaction. Based upon these factors and user interviews, a questionnaire are constructed to form 29 items in total. As the main data, 412 samples are collected from the IC users from 3 high schools in Seoul. Analyses lead to these findings: factors affecting the user satisfaction are identified. They are IC facilities, human services, and achievement level of self-directed learning. It seems that, in ICs, users prefer using space and facilities by themselves to accessing contents. This study suggests ways to improve user satisfaction. It would be essential to introduce IC facilities to current and potential users, to install instruments to enhance achievement level of self-directed learning, and to train users through library education programs.

This paper presents a navigation problem for an autonomous mobile robot in an unknown environment. The environment contains various types of obstacles and is completely unknown to the robot. Therefore, all of the surrounding information must be detected by the robot's proximity sensors. A navigation method was developed based on a fuzzy inference system to guide the robot to move along a collision-free path and reach the goal position quickly. The obstacles are assumed to be static, and both regular and irregular types of obstacles were investigated. A wall following method is also proposed for a special environment that contains a labyrinth or sharp U-valley obstacles. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method has great potential for this navigation problem.
Background: India shows some of the highest rates of cervical cancer worldwide, and more than 70% of the population is living in rural villages. Prospective cohort studies to determine the risk factors for cervical cancer are very rare from low and medium resource countries. The aim of this study was to quantify the effect of risk factors related to cervical cancer in a rural setting in South India. Material and methods: Sociodemographic and reproductive potential risk factors for cervical cancer were studied using the data from a cohort of 30,958 women who constituted the unscreened control group in a randomised screening trial in Dindigul district, Tamilnadu, India. The analysis was accomplished with the Cox proportional hazard regression model. Results: Women of increasing age (HR=2.4; 95% CI: 1.6, 3.8 in 50-59 vs 30-39), having many pregnancies (HR=7.1; 1.0, 52 in 4+ vs 0) and no education (HR=0.6; 0.2, 0.7 in high vs none) were found to be at significantly increased risk of cervical cancer. Conclusion: This cohort study gives very strong evidence to say that education is the fundamental factor among the sociodemographic and reproductive determinants of cervical cancer in low resource settings. Public awareness through education and improvements in living standards can play an important role in reducing the high incidence of cervical cancer in India. These findings further stress the importance of formulating public health policies aimed at increasing awareness and implementation of cervical cancer screening programmes.

In the recent rapidly changing IT environment, the amount of smart digital data is growing exponentially. As a result, in many areas, utilizing big data research and development services and related technologies is becoming more popular. In SMART learning, big data is used by students, teachers, parents, etc., from a perspective of the potential for many. In this paper, we describe big data and can utilize it to identify scenarios. Big data, obtained through customized learning services that can take advantage of the scheme, is proposed. To analyze educational big data processing technology for this purpose, we designed a system for big data processing. Education services offer the measures necessary to take advantage of educational big data. These measures were implemented on a test platform that operates in a cloud-based operations section for a pilot training program that can be applied properly. Teachers try using it directly, and in the interest of business and education, a survey was conducted based on enjoyment, the tools, and users' feelings (e.g., tense, worried, confident). We analyzed the results to lay the groundwork for educational use of big data.

The purpose of this study is to prepare the way for the prevention and improvement of the ocean environment pollution and destruction by researching and analyzing the degree of interests in the ocean environment which the students of seaside vocational high schools have. The concerns of this study are as follows: 1. The vocational high school students in the seaside cities of Busan and Pohang have recognized that the ocean is the object of the highest potential of development and that through the degree of their recognition that they should better preserve the ocean environment prior to a high degree of local seaside development. 2. Although they have recognized that the ocean environment has a great influence on the life of people, their interests in the environment is low. Also, it is shown that they get their knowledge and information through TV. 3. They've understood that the main factor of ocean contamination concerns the home and the causes of ocean contamination are sewage and waste material from daily life. Moreover, their answers reveal that they believe that they should participate in a sanitization activity for the ocean environment voluntarily and put trash into nearby trash cans as opposed to inconsiderately throwing away trash on the beach. 4. Their answers also show that they recognize the elements that can best preserve the ocean environment start at home and with government, and school services through experience activities are the most effective for the education of the ocean environment.

This article review the animals physical therapy. It is so called veterinary physical therapy. The animals physical therapist is working to physical therapy for animals in veterinary clinical field. The veterinary medicine has not veterinary rehabilitation medicine or physical therapy for animals, also physical therapy field in Korea. So, This research will explain about animals physical therapy of Korea and other countries' by journals and internet information and suggest the future of the animals physical therapist. Finally, The veterinary physical therapy is not used to veterinary clinical field in now. But, The veterinary physical therapy will desire to the view of medical serve and economy by the host of animals and clinical veterinarian the future. Animal physical therapy is a new and rapidly developing field of health care for animals. The benefits of physical therapy have long been recognized in humans. More recently, work in the veterinary field has shown the same benefits of physical therapy to be true for animal patients. Performing orthopaedic or neurological surgery, or fitting a human patient with a cast or splint, and then discharging the patient is an outdated approach. In such cases, physical therapy is clearly warranted. Similarly, recent research has shown that post-surgical rehabilitation and therapy after injuries significantly improves the functional outcomes for animals. Physical Therapy is a healthcare profession directed at evaluating, restoring and maintaining physical function and movement. Working with the owner, veterinarian and often other healthcare professionals, a physiotherapist helps your animal to achieve and maintain optimal health and well-being. Equipped with a specialized university Bacheloriate education and intensively educated in Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics, Histology, Neurology, and Pathology, PT's are able to assess, diagnose and treat movement and function. Physical Therapy, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation are recognized sciences applied to both humans and animals. The goals of physiotherapy are to relieve pain, restore range of motion/movement, improve function, prevent injuries and expand the physical potential of the patient. Once in the field, physical therapists actively continue their education to keep up to date on the latest treatments and technologies. Via continuing education courses, physiotherapists can learn how to apply their unique and specialized knowledge to other animal species.

In Korea, previous survey in science education mainly dealt with Quantitative variables. Qualitative ethnographic observation can bring deeper understanding of the context of school lesson and it's feature. The purpose of this study was to develop qualitative understanding about the learning experiences provided in middle school and students' responses to them through observation and interview and to investigate it from a constructivist perspective. Six lessons of the 9th grade were observed and recorded on the video tape. The topics of the lessons were potential energy, kinetic energy and conservation of mechanical energy. We had also unstructured interview with the teacher and three groups of students. The teacher's deductive explanation starting from scientific definition and quantitative problem solving using formula were the main features of the classroom lectures. The video - watching lesson was taking the role of a break rather than being seen as a useful tool for science learning and teaching by both students and the teacher. The teacher's perception about the lab experiment was not supported by the responses from the students. The teacher and students preferred problem-book to textbook for their teaching and learning. From a constructivist's perspective, however the teacher seemed to have intention of introducing daily life context, he couldn't unfold it to main context of the lessons. Students were so accustomed to passive learning that they did not express directly their complaint about their learning and did not participate in planing and controling their learning. The teacher and the students believed the scientific knowledge came from an exact experiment. There was a cooperation to seek right answer rather than a social process of making sense of knowledge. In conclusion, the observed science lessons of a middle school showed typical cross section of teacher - centered, passive learning environment, which is far from constructivist perspective.

Teachers should actively maintain and improve their ICT competency in today's ever changing information society. A standardized system should now be developed to assist educators when choosing courses to improve their ICT competency. Previous ICT competency studies have only measured one's current ICT abilities rather than analyzing the skills necessary for educators to be successful in the educational system. This study developed an assessment tool to measure the ICT competency levels of CEOs who have the potential to be the decision makers in ICT education. In order to accomplish this, the jobs, duties, and tasks of educational CEOs were analyzed against the ICT Skills Standards for Teachers to determine which ICT skills are required by educational CEOs. Sixty-three questions were extracted from this analysis, guiding educational CEOs in the determination of their own ICT skills level.
This was a comparative study, focusing on the perceptions of male teachers in early childhood educational settings on the part of both parents and female teachers at such institutions. The results of the research are as follows. First, regarding the question of whether it is necessary or not to employ qualified male teachers in early childhood education institutes, both the female teachers and the parents responded positively in general. Second, when analyzing the perceptions of the role of male teachers, both teachers and parents believed that male teachers would be able to help children to develop their potential. Third, the female teachers indicated that they believed that the male teachers may need to develop a stronger sense of vocation, fairness, and sincerity when engaging in early childhood education. According to the parents, female teachers generally show greater affection and magnanimity towards children. Fourth, when examining the female teachers' perceptions of the male teachers' teaching capabilities, the findings indicated that their opinions were generally that the capabilities of male teachers depend on their training and educational level. Fifth, when examining the parent's perceptions of the male teacher's teaching capabilities, the results revealed that those parents who have experience of male teachers gave higher ratings regarding their capabilities than those parents who had no previous experience of male teachers. Finally, it was observed that, when comparing the teacher group with the parent-group, the teacher-group assessed the male teachers' teaching abilities higher than the parent-group did.
