탠덤압연설비에서 테이퍼롤 채용에 의한 냉연강판 에지드롭 개선 (Improvement of Edge Drop in Cold Rolled Steel by Tapered Work Roll in Tandem Cold Mill)

  • In order to improve thickness profile of cold rolled steel strip, a computer simulation and actual cold rolling experiments on a 4-high tandem cold mill were carried out. In this study, tapered barrel end at top work roll and incurved barrel body at bottom work roll were examined for reducing edge drop and threading of stripe. Also, the most effective stand of tandem cold mill and magnitude of optimal taper crown at several stand were investigated under a typical rolling condition. From actual rolling experiments, it was verified that thickness deviation over strip width could be improved up to 1.06% by applying tapered and incurved work roll only at the second and up to 0.89% by applying them at both the second and the third stand.

높은 항복전압을 위한 최적 계단산화막의 쇼트키 다이오드 (The Schottky Diode of Optimal Stepped Oxide Layer for High Breakdown Voltage)

  • A device with variable stepped oxide layer along the edge region of Schottky junction have been designed and fabricated. The effect of this stepped oxide layer in the edge region improves the breakdown voltage as a result of the by increase of the depletion layer width, and decreases the leakage current as compared to the effect of conventional field oxide layer, when the reverse voltage was applied. Experimental results shown that the Schottky diode with the the reverse voltage was applied. Experimenal results show that the Schottky diode with the optimal stepped oxide layer maintains nearly ideal I-V characteristics and excellent breakdown voltage(170V) by reducing the edge effect inherent in metal-semiconductor contacts. The optimal conditions of stepped oxide layer are 1700\ulcornerin thickness and 10\ulcorner in length.

수림가장자리의 경관생태적 특성분석 (A Character Analysis of the Woodland Edge in point of Landscape Ecology)

  • The aim of this research is to set improvement guidance a character analysis of woodland edge to cope with the ecological dysfunction of woodland which was caused by massive development project and thoughtless development in country areas. The summary of research result are as follows. 1) From the result of landscape ecology characteristic analysis of woodland in all seven research sites, to begin with, in proportion of appearance by vegetation layer and condition of composition, site 5 showed to be most satisfactory. 2) A width of woodland edge was revealed 7.5m as a minimum, 17.0m as a maximum, and 11.4m as a average and minimum edge was set as 10m according to integrated analysis on each example place. 3) As a result of flexibility analysis, site 1, 2 and 5 was shown high value 3, and it is thought that curve rather than linearity should be maintained in order to increase the ecological function. Also, a phenomenon of straight was prominent, and as a woodland edge, green network and buffering system showed to be somewhat unsatisfactory. 4) Based on the result of character analysis of landscape ecology, main guidelines for improvement of woodland edge were categorized into five in parallel structure and three in vertical structure respectively. The guidelines for improvement of woodland edge suggested by the research has a deep meaning in that it is used as a basic material to induce for controling more systematically or landscape-friendly the defamed forest problems caused by road construction, various development projects, and enlargement of agricultural lands.

  • In this paper applicable range of U-Channel Bridge (UCB) that has recently been introduced as a new bridge type was studied. For structural analysis models used with the frame and plate elements was proposed, and verification of the models were performed. Using these structural models structural analysis of models with span length of 20m-45m and inner width of 5m-13m were performed. As a result for U-shape sections were applicable in the range of 20m span and 35m span, slab was applicable in the range of 5m inner width and 12m inner width. To increase applicable range of UCB H-shape sections and slab with rib were proposed. As a result UCB were applicable in the range of 20m span and 45m span, in the range of 5m inner width and 13m inner width.

Multi-Valued Image Entropy Coding for input-width reduction of LCD source drivers

  • A new joint source channel coding reduces both input-width and average current consumption to transmit image data to LCD source drivers. As a source coding, it is based on entropy coding of differential pulse code modulation scheme, especially using median edge detector of image predictor. As a channel coding, it is not a simple pulse amplitude modulation, but linked by source entropy to reduce average amplitude. Simulation results show 1/4 width is achievable by 16-valued transmission with keeping conventional current consumption (0.36 to 1.3).

Stroke Width Based Skeletonization for Text Images

  • Skeletonization is a morphological operation that transforms an original object into a subset, which is called a 'skeleton'. Skeletonization has been intensively studied for decades and is a challenging issue especially for special target objects. This paper proposes a novel approach to the skeletonization of text images based on stroke width detection. First, the preliminary skeleton is detected by using a Canny edge detector with a Tensor Voting framework. Second, the preliminary skeleton is smoothed, and junction points are connected by interpolation compensation. Experimental results show the validity of the proposed approach.

열연 판형상 예측 수식모델 개발 (Mathematical expression for the Prediction of Strip Profile in hot rolling mill)

  • The approach in this thesis is for prediction of deformed strip profile in hot rolling mill. This approach shows how to make an expression as a mathematical form in predicting strip profile. This approach is based on the velocity field, shear stress and material flow on the strip edge along width direction and lateral displacement and stress along width are analytically calculated. Roll force is calculated in each section and then combined together to show roll force distribution along width. All the assumptions to make equation form for this approach are supported by FEM simulation result and the result of model is verified by FEM result. So, this model will supply very useful tool to the researcher and engineers which takes less time and has similar accuracy in predicting roll force profile comparing to FEM simulation. This model has to be combined with deformed roll profile model, which include thermal crown prediction and wear prediction model to predict deformed strip profile.

라인 무정지 사이드 트리머 개발 (Development of Side Trimmer with Line Non-Stop)

  • Steel is produced through the steel-making process with a desired shape by a rolling press. Scrap is removed according to the sheet edge to improve the quality of the product. This machine is called a side trimmer. This study aimed to develop a side trimmer for automatically changing the width of the trimming knife without line stopping. This machine consists of a housing opening device and a turning device. The measuring technologies of sheet width, trimming knife rotation angle, and knife gap for increasing the control accuracy. This experiment was conducted to evaluate the performance of the developed technologies. It was reduced by 10% compared with the operation time of the conventional method.

초듀랄류민(A2024-T3)의 절삭거동에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Cutting Behavior of Super Duralumin(A2024-T3))

  • This study was undertaken to investigate the cutting behaviour of super duralumin (A2024-T3) with sintered carbide tool(P20). The cutting test was carried out under different conditions such as cutting speed, cutting depth and rake angle, etc. The specific cutting force Kc and Kt of vertical and radial forces decreases as cutting speed increases, especially the decrease rate of Kt becomes larger than of Kc as cutting speed increases. Kc and Kt in small cutting depth are much affected by work-hardening of surface layer. The chip width and shear angle become layer as cutting depth increases, especially chip width at feed of 0.1mm almost approaches cutting width. Relation between the friction coefficient of chip side and tool rake angle side can make the modelization studying the built-up edge size. The shear angle model equation of super duralumin generally agree with theory of Ernst-Merchant.

The outer wall and stand height size increase aware at variation collar width at the more Increase. It is desirable that this study will be at help to enchancement of life style in garments and promotion of garments industury by developing the archetype basic collar pattern suitable to Korean women's garments.
