Purpose: This study targeted female university students in their 20s and created an antioxidant improvement program with a health contract, one of the behavioral modification therapies, based on King's (1981) 'goal attainment theory.' The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of physiological indicators, eating habits, dietary attitudes, and health behaviors by conducting a walking exercise and anti-oxidation diet program with reinforcement therapy. Methods: This study had a nonequivalent control group pretestposttest design. There were a total of 50 participants, with 25 participants in the experimental group and 25 participants in the control group and the study period was 10 weeks. The antioxidant improvement program consisted of walking and antioxidant diet education with health contracts. Data analysis was statistically processed using the SPSS/WIN 24.0 program. Results: The program showed a high achievement rate by providing continuous motivation and positive reinforcement during the program, and it affected the eating habits, dietary attitudes, and health behavior. Besides, physiological variables, such as antioxidant indices and body composition showed positive changes. Conclusion: This study, based on the goal attainment theory, confirmed that antioxidant improvement program is an effective nursing intervention for continuous health promotion through interaction and exchange between healthy participants and researchers.
Objectives: This study aimed to examine the effect of eating habits and dietary attitudes on dessert consumption among university students in Gwangju Province, South Korea. Methods: A survey was conducted from May to June 2022. Out of 300 distributed questionnaires, 261 valid responses were included in the analysis. The survey assessed dessert selection, satisfaction, consumer attitudes and behaviors, as well as factors influencing satisfaction. Results: Both genders reported purchasing desserts 2 to 3 times per week, primarily after lunch, due to the convenience of dessert accessibility. Males favored ice cream, bakery items, and fruits, while females preferred bakery items, ice cream, and fruits in that sequence. 'Having fun' was identified as the most common motivation for dessert consumption post-meal. Notable gender disparities emerged regarding perceptions of dessert consumption, including its role in stress relief, potential for nutritional imbalance, positive effects, and preferences for seasonal menus. Significant gender-based differences also manifested in intentions to purchase dessert, responsiveness to price changes, and inclination to recommend desserts to others. The purpose of this study was to compare eating habits and food attitudes between depressed and normal adults. The subjects were selected (n = 6217) from those who participated in the 2008 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES IV). The subjects were divided into the depressed (DG, n = 841) and normal groups (NG, n = 3969). DG was those who have depression now or who have experienced depressing feelings more than two weeks or per year. The general characteristics, anthropometric measurement, eating habits, the dietary guideline recognition and practices were compared by using chi-square test and t-test. Also the partial correlations were analyzed by SAS (Statistical analysis system, version 9.1) program. There was a significantly higher rate of DG among the female (74.32%), with low education (44.6%) and low-income (32.0%) subjects (p < 0.001). DG showed significantly lower snacking and dining out. There was significantly higher rate of DG who responded "none" in frequency of snack (27.10%) and dining out (29.50%) (p < 0.001). Also DG showed significantly lower rate of the subjects who ate with the family than NG. Also, DG showed significantly lower dietary guideline recognition level and practice than NG. Correlation between depression symptom and various factors showed that positive correlation with low snack intake and dining out frequencies. However, correlation was relatively weak. In conclusion, eating habits and recognition levels and practice of dietary guidelines of DG were significantly different from NG. DG showed significantly lower frequencies of snack, dining out, and eating with family.

The aerobic exercise program was given to 16 girls 3 times per week with 60 minutes each time. Forteen girls received both behavior modification and aerobic exercise. These interventions continued for 8 weeks. Changes after intervention were examined twice after 4 weeks and 8 weeks for degree of obesity and once after 8 weeks only for eating behavior, depression and self esteem. The results were as follows ; 1. Degree of obesity was significantly decreased after 4 weeks and 8 weeks in 3 groups. Degree of obesity after 4 weeks and 8 weeks were not significantly different among 3 groups. 2. The mean score of eating behavior related to obesity decresed significantly after intervention in the behavior modification group only. There was significant difference in eating behavior among 3 groups after intervention. 3. The behavior modification group showed no significant changes in depression and self esteem after intervention. In the aerobic exercise group and group who participated in both behavior modification and aerobic exercise, the level of depression decreased significantly and the level of self esteem increased significantly. There were no significant differences in the level of depression and self esteem among 3 groups after intervention. These findings indicate that behavior modification might be effective in decreasing degree of obesity and eating behavior related to obesity, aerobic exercise be effective in decreasing degree of obesity and the level of depression, and also in increasing the level of self esteem.

As results, eating attitudes reached significant improvement by the nutrition education program(p<0.05). In a paired t-test, the control group did not show significant difference, but the educated group showed a significant difference. In snacking behaviors, the two groups did not show statistical difference except for some considering factors. Also, there were no significant differences of the two groups after nutrition education program, except the snacking place after the nutrition education group. However, in the educated group, the types of snacks made by mothers increased 17.5% from 40.2% to 57.7%, and in-house as snacking place increased 13.4% from 68% to 81.4%. In the results of before and after the nutrition education program, the program showed some effect on the prevention and management of atopic dermatitis. Therefore, these results showed foundation for nutritional education and various educational programs are needed afterward to increase the effect of nutrition education in the prevention and management policy related to atopic dermatitis.
