  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the college students' acceptance of PatentNOW, which was developed for effective proceeding of patent application education program. Results of this research as follow. First, perceived ease of use positively influenced perceived usefulness. Second, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use positively influenced attitude toward using and attitude toward using also positively influenced behavioral intention to use. Third, the level of prior knowledge about the patent system and experience of patent application possessed by the users of PatentNOW had a negative effect on the relationship between perceived ease of use and attitude toward using. These results suggested that the teaching method of utilizing PatentNOW should be differentiated according to the level of prior knowledge of the students in order to improve the quality of patent application education.

  • Growing importance of online security on certification, many of the web-related security technology introduced day by day. Especially, using smart certificate (USIM) is recognized as one of the most safe and convenient method for the security of public certificate. The purpose of this study is to find the factors that affect the Intention of switching to smart certificate for the general public who use public certificate service. Based on migration theory, this study determined the relationship between pull factors, push factors and mooring factors which can affect the intention of switching to smart certificate. To empirically analyze the proposed hypothesis, the statistical analysis were conducted based on the response from 350 public certificate service users using SPSS 22.0 and Smart PLS 2.0. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, system quality, one of the pull factors has positive influence on perceived ease of use. On the other hand, the other pull factor, service quality has positive influence on both perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. Second, push factors, user experience and information security awareness have positive influence on perceived ease of use only. Third, mooring factor, switching cost does not have influence on switching intention while perceived usefulness has positive influence on. The results of this research can be used for whom has interest to the switching intention of public certificate service for online security and provide the proper understanding about smart certificate service mechanism.

  • This study investigated the antecedents of VR(virtual reality) headsets acceptance and the causal relationships among self-efficacy, content diversity, the perceived usefulness, the perceived easy of use, the perceived playfulness and the adoption intention. We collected 238 survey responses and formed structural equation modeling with AMOS 23.0. The results of the analysis can be summarized as follows. The diversity of contents and self-efficacy had significant effects on perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and perceived enjoyment, thus increasing the intention of acceptance. Perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and perceived enjoyment had significant effects on the intention of acceptance. Perceived ease of use indirectly had an effect through increasing perceived enjoyment. The price did not affect the adoption intention and marketing communication increased the intention of acceptance. The results are expected to provide useful information to the companies related to VR.

  • This paper identifies the determinants of adoption of e-government services. The on-line tax filing and payment system, called Hometax, is a well-known e-government service for taxpayers. Using a theoretical model based on Technology acceptance model, this case study examines the causal relationships among the variables of the adoption behavior for on-line tax filing and payment system. Major research variables include satisfaction, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, words of mouth, subjective norms, trust, interaction and facilitating conditions. Results from 279 survey responses indicate that the usefulness and ease of use affect the user satisfaction, which, in turn, with the word of mouth influences intentions to use an e-government service. Subjective norms and trust has been found to affect the usefulness, and interaction as well as facilitating conditions have also some impact on the ease of use. As a conclusion, the academic and practical implications of these findings are discussed.

  • As one of Virtual Reality devices, HMD(Head-Mounted Device) helps users to experience an extended actual environment by providing them with virtual environment flexibly through the device. HMD considers user experience as importance as well as technical factors. Therefore, this study intended to analyze how the factors such as information quality, enjoyment, self-efficacy can have influence on the adoption of VR device using the extended technology acceptance model. The results showed that information quality and enjoyment have significant influences on perceived ease of use and usefulness. Self-efficacy only affect perceived ease of use. In addition, perceived ease of use and usefulness have influences on intention to use.

  • This study considers the problems and social changes caused by the increase of single-person households in the elderly, and examines SmartHome services for them. We chose trust, security risk, self efficacy, social influence, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness as factors that affect attitude. The cognitive level of these factors and the difference betweene gender and education level of these factors were analyzed. The analysis showed that the elderly were fully aware of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. In addition, the elderly women are more socially influenced than the elderly men in the use of SmartHome services, and there was a significant difference in self efficacy and social influence by education level. This study will provide a new research perspective for subsequent studies and can be utilized as an important underlying study.

  • The purpose of this study is to consider the characteristics perceived by users who utilize MyData services in the financial sector. It aims to examine how these factors influence users' understanding for sustained usage and their resistance to innovation. The research seeks to explore the relationship between users' awareness of characteristics and its impact on both enhancing comprehension for continued usage and addressing users' resistance to innovation. Utilizing a specialized survey agency, we examined the relative effects of innovation resistance factors, such as relative advantage, perceived risks, complexity, clarity and perceived ease of use on MyData service users. Furthermore, this research focuses on employing empirical analysis to validate the relationships between these factors through the survey. The findings of this study suggest that MyData service should dedicate ongoing efforts to minimize user resistance to service utilization. Specifically, it was revealed that among the innovation resistance factors, perceived ease of use, relative advantage, perceived risk, and complexity exert influence in that order.

The main results are as follows. First of all, it was found that personal innovativeness had a positive (+) effect on perceived ease and perceived usefulness. Perceived susceptibility did not have a significant effect on perceived usefulness, and perceived benefit had a positive (+) effect on perceived usefulness. Finally, it was found that perceived ease had a positive (+) effect on perceived usefulness, Both perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness were found to have a positive (+) effect on continuous intention to use. This study will be meaningful in that it partially reconfirmed the possibility of integrating the technology acceptance model and the health belief model.
