유아교사들의 안전에 대한 지식과 사고예방실천과의 관계 연구 (Relationship between Early Childhood Teachers' Knowledge and Protective Practice on Safety)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between early childhood teacher's knowledge and protective practice on safety. The study subjects were 312 early childhood teachers working at kindergartens and day care centers in Seoul, Kyung-gi area. A modified questionnaire was based on that developed by Nam(2002). Data were analysed by t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlations. The results were as follows. First, there was a small but insignificant difference for safety knowledge in the teachers' teaching experiences, and working place, but no difference in attending safety education. Second, there were differences for safety practices in teaching experiences and working place. Third, teachers' safety knowledge was highly and positively correlated with safety practices. In conclusion, enhanced early childhood teacher' safety knowledge is needed for improved safety practice.

The Effects of Early Childhood Teachers' Resilience and Empowerment on Their Job Satisfaction

  • The purpose of the study was to examine the relations of early childhood teachers' resilience, empowerment, and job satisfaction, and to investigate the effects of resilience and empowerment on their job satisfaction. The research subjects were 419 early childhood teachers in charge of 3-5 year olds in kindergartens or daycare centers located in South Korea. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 28.0 Program. We calculated the Cronbach's alphas and conducted the descriptive statistical analysis, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results showed the statistically positive correlations between the major variable. The positive effects of early childhood teachers' resilience and empowerment on their job satisfaction were also found. In the relative influence on job satisfaction, the empowerment was greater than resilience. Based on the study results, we suggest academic and practical importance of early childhood teachers' resilience and empowerment, which enables them dedicate on excellent teaching and caring young children via satisfaction with work settings.

예비유아교사의 공감능력과 대인관계 유능성이 교사효능감에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Pre-service early childhood Teacher's Empathetic Ability and Interpersonal Competence on Teacher's Efficacy)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 예비유아교사의 공감능력과 대인관계 유능성 및 교사 효능감의 수준과 관계를 알아보고 공감능력과 대인관계 유능성이 교사 효능감에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 전라북도 I시와 충청북도 H시에 소재하고 있는 3년제 유아교육과에 재학 중인 예비 유아교사 358명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 연구도구는 대인관계 반응지수도구(IRI), 대인관계 유능성 척도(ICQ), STEBI를 유아교사에게 맞게 수정, 보완한 도구를 사용하였다. 본 연구의 자료 분석은 SPSS프로그램을 이용하여 빈도와 백분율, 평균과 표준편차, Pearson의 적률상관관계와 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 예비유아교사의 공감능력, 대인관계 유능성, 교사효능감은 공감능력의 하위요인인 개인적 고통 이외 모두 3점 이상으로 평균보다 약간 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 예비유아교사의 공감능력, 대인관계 유능성, 교사 효능감은 정적인 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 예비유아교사의 공감능력, 대인관계 유능성이 교사 효능감에 미치는 영향을 살펴 본 결과 부분적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

유아교사의 인성에 따른 유아 인성교육의 인식 및 실태 (A study on Teacher's Perception, the actual condition for the Early Childhood Character Education depend on Teacher's Personality)

  • 본 연구는 유아교사의 인성과 개인변인에 따른 인성의 차이를 살펴보고, 유아교사의 인성 집단에 따른 유아 인성교육에 대한 인식, 실태를 알아보는 것이 목적이다. 이에 충청도 D시에 근무하고 있는 유아교사 194명을 대상으로 하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0 program을 이용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 유아교사의 인성은 경력과 연령에 따라 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 유아 인성교육에 대한 인식에서는 유아교사는 인성교육의 필요성과 중요성을 공감하고 있었으나 그에 따른 실천방법에 대한 부재가 장애요인이었다. 셋째, 인성이 높은 집단은 교사의 인간관계 덕목과 생명존중 및 인간애가 중요한 덕목이라고 인식하고 있었다. 넷째, 유아 인성교육에 대한 실태에서는 유아 인성교육의 목적을 인간존중으로 보았으며 바른 가치관이 교육의 내용으로 전 영역을 통한 지도를 해야 한다고 인식하였다. 다섯째, 인성이 낮은 집단의 교사는 직무수행이 교사의 덕목이며 유아는 예절이 필요한 덕목이라고 인식하고 있었다. 인성교육의 목적과 내용을 예절교육이라고 인식하고 있었으며 가정과의 연계를 통한 지도가 바람직하다고 인식하였다. 이에 유아에게 인성교육을 하기 위해서는 무엇보다 교사 자신 스스로 반성적 사고를 할 수 있는 기회가 필요하다.

직업은유그림에 의한 영유아교사의 자아상 연구 (Study on Early Childhood Teachers' Self-Image by Metaphoric Pictures of Occupation)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate early childhood teachers' self-image by metaphoric pictures of occupation. The sample consisted of 311 early childhood teachers in kindergarten or day-care center. Teachers were asked them to match their image of themselves as early childhood teachers with metaphoric pictures of occupation. The major results were as follows. First, kindergarten teachers chose conductor, entertainer, nurse, sculptor, shopkeeper, animal trainer, judge by turns and day-care center teachers chose nurse, sculptor, conductor, entertainer, shopkeeper, judge, animal trainer by turns. Second, the reason for selecting the metaphoric pictures of occupation as their self-image was analyzed into 16 categories.

유아교사의 성격유형에 따른 교사 자기 효능감과 놀이지원 (Early Childhood Educators' Teacher Self-Efficacy and Play Support by Personality Types)

  • Objective: The objective of this study is to classify the personality types of early childhood teachers and examine the variations in teacher self-efficacy and play support based on these personality types. Methods: The subjects of this study consisted of 302 early childhood teachers responsible for children aged 3 to 5 years old. The collected data were analyzed using cluster analysis and analysis of covariance. Results: Early childhood teachers were categorized into four types: the "sensitive group" (29%), the "conservative group" (10%), the "passive group" (28%), and the "active group" (34%). Significant differences in mean scores were observed for teacher self-efficacy and play support across these personality types. Notably, the active group demonstrated the highest levels of both teacher self-efficacy and play support. Consequently, the active group emerged as the most effective and functional personality type among early childhood teachers. Conclusion/Implications: This study emphasized the significance of early childhood teachers' personality types in their teaching practices, underscoring the importance of developing in-service and pre-service teacher education programs that take into account these personality types.

유아교사의 이직의도에 대한 Q 방법론적 분석 (A Study on Turnover Intention of Early Childhood Teachers: Q Methodological Approach)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to classify turnover intention of early childhood teachers. This study also analyzed the characteristics of each types of turnover intentions. The research questions were as follows: First, what are the types of turnover intention among early childhood teachers?. Second, what are the characteristics of the types of turnover intention among early childhood teachers?. Method: This study has adopted the Q methodology as a method. first, open surveys were conducted among 101 early childhood teachers and principals who work at kindergartens or child care centers along with literature research, followed by the establishment of Q samples(48 questions). Second, the Q sample was classified among the P sample and was comprised of 90 participants. Ninety early childhood teachers as P sample sorted the 48 Q statements. Results: The findings of this study were summarized as follows: First, the types of early childhood teacher's turnover intentions were identified as four-factors. Second, the characteristics of the four-types of turnover intention were interpreted as follows: 'The type of complex psychological conflict', 'The type of pursuit of social value', 'The type of dependence on organizational environment', 'The type of realistic self-development'. Conclusion/Implications: We suggested political and institutional supporting ways for each type of early childhood teachers.

유아교사의 회복탄력성과 사회적지지가 직무스트레스에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Early Childhood Teachers' Resilience and Social Support on Job Stress)

  • 본 연구는 유아교사의 회복탄력성과 사회적지지가 직무스트레스에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 있다. I시에 소재한 유아교육기관 교사 250명을 대상으로 회복탄력성과 사회적지지, 직무스트레스의 정도를 측정하고 그 관계와 상대적 영향력을 분석하였다. 자료처리는 SPSS 18.0프로그램을 활용한 상관분석과 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 유아교사의 회복탄력성, 사회적 지지는 평균보다 약간 높은 수준, 직무스트레스는 약간 낮은 수준으로 측정되었다. 둘째, 유아교사의 회복탄력성과 사회적 지지는 정적관계가 나타났으며, 회복탄력성과 사회적지지는 직무스트레스와 부적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 유아교사의 회복탄력성과 사회적지지가 직무스트레스에 주는 상대적 영향력을 분석한 결과 조직적환경요인, 물질적 지지, 행동적 요인이 직무스트레에 영향을 주는 것에 대해 83%설명하였다. 이러한 결과는 현직교사의 직무스트레스 감소에 영향을 줄 수 있는 회복탄력성과 사회적 지지를 제공해주는 것이 무엇보다 중요함을 시사하고 있다.

유아통합교육프로그램의 일반교사와 특수교사가 갖추어야 할 자질에 대한 교사들의 인식 - 미국 교사를 중심으로 (Teachers' Perceptions of Competencies Needed for Working in Inclusive Early Childhood Programs)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine early childhood education(ECE) and early childhood special education(ECSE) teachers' perceptions of (a)important teacher competencies needed for working in inclusive early childhood programs and (b)current levels of these competencies. Sixty-two ECE teachers and 77 ECSE teachers responded to the survey developed for this study. There were no differences between the ECE teachers and ECSE teachers in the ratings of importance of the competency domains. However, the ECSE teachers had significantly higher perceptions than the ECE teachers of their self-proficiency on competencies related to child development, curriculum and instruction, assessment procedures, working with other adults, and professionalism. Both the ECE and ECSE teachers perceived the greatest need for further training in competencies related to assessment procedures and working with families and other adults.

유아교사의 통일교육역량에 대한 평가척도 개발 및 타당화 연구 (Development and Validation of a Scale for the Measurement of Early Childhood Teacher's Competence in Unification Education)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and test the validity of an assessment scale for determining the competency of early childhood teachers practicing unification education. For this purpose, an evaluation scale was constructed and then tested for reliability and validity. Participants for this study included 266 early childhood teachers in the unification education field. In order to the measure reliability and validity of this scale, Exploratory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis were conducted with SPSS 18.0 and AMOS. The result of this study identified four principal factors: 1) Instruction skills, 2) Evaluation, 3) Attitude, and 4) Knowledge. The results of this study supported the scale's reliability and legitimacy as a valid instrument for the evaluation of early childhood teacher's competence in unification education.
