  • XML/EDI provides a way to connect legacy systems(ERPs) : When a XML/EDI system sends a message, the message contents come from the legacy system. Likewise, when a ERP receiving a message, important parts are stored in the legacy system. RosettaNet has become a strong tool to connect ERPs as RosettaNet has become a promising standard for XML/EDI. In this paper, a prototype using PIP 3A4(Order Management) of the RosettaNet is implemented to show how the standard could be used for the connection of ERPs.

  • The role of electroencephalography (EEG) in the development of brain-computer interface (BCI) technology is increasing. In particular, the importance of the analysis of event related potential (ERP) in various situations is becoming more significant in BCI technology. Studies on past maze and fire situations have been difficult due to risks and realistic problems. Nowadays, according to the development of virtual reality (VR) technology, realistic maze and fire situation can be realized. In this study, ERPs (P300, and evented related negativity) were analyzed to collect objective data on case determination in an emergency situation. In order to overcome the limitations of previous methods that evaluating the EEG frequency change, ERPs were derived by setting epochs for stimulation and standardizing them, and evaluated for ERPs in this study. P3a and P3b, which are subcomponents of P300, were analyzed and the evented related negativity (ERN) was analyzed together with error positivity (Pe). As a result of the study, statistically significant changes of ERPs were observed, this result, which has little related research, is considered to be meaningful as medical basic statistics.

  • ERP is now one of the prevailing applications for integrated information systems, So far, the conventional ERPs lack how to manage knowledge of making decisions, that is one of the important goal of ERP. This gives a motivation on adding decision support capabilities to the ERPs: active advice for business analysis, evaluation and control. In this paper, we proposed an agent-based intelligent ERP that is operated on the Internet. In special, knowledge of economic value added (EVA) is explicitly acquired as a set of data, models and methodologies, A new knowledge representation format, MIF, is suggested to show the communication mechanism between agents, The agent-based knowledge processing is adopted to deliver intelligence on the Internet.

  • Objective:Event-related potentials(ERPs) are electrical changes recorded at the surface of the scalp in response to stimulus presentation, and their latency and amplitude change according to cognitive processes. Through past studies of the auditory ERP in schizophrenia, the P300 has been reported to be statistically smaller and delayed in schizophrenia than comparison groups. However, studies of the visual ERP have not been systematically examined. The present study was designed to investigate the visual P300 in patients with schizophrenia and normal controls and to compare the pattern of P300 between them. Methods:The subjects were composed of patients(N=22) with schizophrenia by DSM-IV and normal controls(N=22). The visual ERPs were measured by the visual continuous performance test. P300 amplitude and latency measured on 5 scalp electrodes(Fz, Cz, Pz, $T_7$, $T_8$) were compared between patients and controls. Results:The P300 latencies measured on Fz, Cz, Pz, and $T_7$ electrodes were significantly longer in patients than controls(p<0.05). The P300 amplitudes in patients were smaller than controls. However, the difference between them was not statistically significant. Conclusion:Analysis of the visual ERPs showed that the P300 latency is significantly delayed and the P300 amplitude is slightly smaller in patients than controls. These results are similar to established studies of the auditory P300 in schizophrenia.

  • This research was performed to analyze quantitatively how spiritual stress affects some ERPs on human through sight stimulus after the settlement of visual and auditory integration environment in three dimension space. We measured ERPs in the normal state and spiritual stress sessions separately. The subjects were 10 normal men and women and vital signs was recorded from Fpl, Fz, Cz, Pz, O1, O2's scalps. The experiment was done in isolated room where electro-magnetic effect do not affect. The result showed that P300's amplitude was a little higher under stress session and latent period in this resulted in longer time. We recorded through voltage variation the activity of brain which is in charge of human's perception. cognition, process of action and evaluated the effect of spiritual stress. We expected that the result of this research can be used to evaluate the malfunction of brain.

  • The effect of the code conversion process of Korean script (Hangul), also known as words for numbers, was investigated using event-related potentials (ERPs) during mental arithmetic operations. Study subjects were asked to determine whether the arithmetic results of a given target stimuli were correctly matched. Visual inspection and statistics of mean ERPs showed stimulus type-dependent processing rather than task-dependent processing. Results of addition and multiplication tasks revealed that the overall temporal profiles of the Arabic numerals were similar to the Hangul words for numbers. The only exception to this observation was a delayed positive-slope peak occurring around 300 ms, which was likely related to the encoding process of Hangul words for numbers to Arabic-digits, defined as a 'transcoding-related potential.' Source analysis confirmed that the topography of different waveforms for the two conditions was attributed to a single dipole located in the left temporo-parietal area; this area is known to be involved in Hangul words for number processing. These results suggest that the initial processing for encoding words for numbers was followed by arithmetic operations without direct access of internal number representation. • This study was conducted to investigate whether Stroop-related cognitive task will be affected according to the preceding affective valence factored by matchedness in response time(RT) and whether facial recognition will be indexed by specific event-related potentials(ERPs) signature in normal person as in patients suffering from affective disorder. ERPs primed by subliminal(30ms) facial stimuli were recorded when presented with four pairs of affect(positive or negative) and cognitive task(matched or mismatched) to get ERP effects(N2 and P300) in terms of its amplitude and peak latency variations. Behavioral response analysis based on RTs confirmed that subliminal affective stimuli primed the target processing in all affective condition except for the neutral stimulus. Additional results for the ERPs performed in the negative affect with mismatched condition reached significance of emotional-face specificity named N2 showing more amplitude and delayed peak latency compared to the positive counterpart. Furthermore the condition shows more positive amplitude and earlier peak latency of P300 effect denoting cognitive closure than the corresponding positive affect condition. These results are suggested to reflect that negative affect stimulus in subliminal level is automatically inhibited such that this effect had influence on accelerating detection of the affect and facilitating response allowing adequate reallocation of attentional resources. The functional and cognitive significance with these findings was implied in terms of subliminal effect and affect-related recognition modulating the cognitive tasks.
