Many countries have implemented EA as a core tool for planning and managing IT resources. Due to its importance, there have been many studies for the successful implementation of EA. However because most previous studies simply focused on either a certain time horizon as a cross sectional study or a list of success factors, they failed to raise fundamental issues investigating inherent difficulties or efforts to overcome. This research conducted a case study based on interviews with EA experts and derived five practical guidelines for the successful EA implementation. Simultaneously we propose a future research model for an empirical validation based on current findings.

Enterprise Architecture has become a key tool for transforming business process, data, IT and application resources. The "Efficient Adaptation and Management of Information System Act" was established to support the planning and development of the information system in order for the public sector to adopt Information Technology Architecture (EA) into its organization through the act. Until now, the study of EA has been mainly focused on concepts, methodologies and success factors for the implementation of EA. User involvement, which is one of the critical factors in adopting information systems, has been rarely studied in the field of EA research. The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of user characteristics on user involvement in EA implementation. After discussing intrinsic motivators and situational motivators as predictors of user involvement, a research model were developed and tested using survey data. The results showed that among intrinsic motivators, perceived competence had a strong positive effect on user involvement. Some implications were discussed for implementing and utilizing EA for public agencies.

EA, efficient and hierarchical Information Resource Management(IRM) tool of Korean public agencie is one of the core of carrying forward the e-Government initiative. The objective of the paper is to study empirically whether using EA Governance for Controlling EA is related with their EA competency or not. the 190 person in charge of Information System service division are included for analysis. The various hypotheses established are validated by structural equation in SPSS and AMOS 18.0. The results shows that EA management and EA utilization of EA competency level was affected by EA Function, EA Organization and EA Human Resource of exogenous variable EA Governance but EA implementation level was not affected by EA Organization and EA Human Resource. also we investigated that the EA management level of endogenous variable EA competency was affected positively by EA implementation level and the EA utilization level of was affected positively by EA management level by stages.

Refining the monitoring and evaluation reporting is an important thing in e-Government. Indonesia which has had e-Government roadmap since 2000, has not had the systematic mechanism to monitor and evaluate e-Government in which the report can be easily accessed by the public and used to be the best practice to improve other e-Government implementation. Enterprise architecture (EA) has the major objective to straighten an enterprise to its necessary requirements. It can be used to propose the required system and that was the purpose of this paper. It was started by reviewing the literature about e-Government monitoring and evaluation, using quality of service as the means, and understanding TOGAF as one of EA framework. The second step was comparing EA and the evaluation of e-Government in Korea and Indonesia to get the best practices. And the last step was creating EA for the monitoring and evaluation reporting system based on Korea and the literature reviewed. It is expected that the formulized EA can be a tool to improve e-Government implementation in Indonesia.

ISP(Information Strategy Planning 이하 ISP) 기반의 프로젝트는 실행예산과 일정계획을 구체적으로 산출된다. 그러나 EA(Enterprise Architecture 이하 EA) 에서는 아직까지 이 부문에 대해 명확한 요구와 산출물을 고객에게 제공하지 못하고 있다. 현재 EA 사업의 특성은 IT 와 경영전략이 연계된 모습이 아니라 예산과 객관적인 외부 컨설팅이라는 발주자(부서)의 예산사용 당위성 증명을 위한 측면의 EA접근이 많다. 그러나 EA는 IT와 관련된 길잡이(표준/가이드)의 역할을 주요 관점으로 한다. 발주자와의 요구와는 이견(gap)이 생기게 된다. EA 프로젝트에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 ISP 프로젝트의 절차를 EA 산출물과 결합해서 프로젝트를 수행한다. 본 논문은 실제 프로젝트를 통해 EA 바탕에서 ISP의 실행예산과 일정계획이 적용된 사례이다.

EA (Enterprise Architecture) is an SI (System Integration) approach, i.e., a comprehensive plan for SI, which shows the elements of SI and the relationships among them. Since EA can be utilized in every stages of SI, the more large-scaled and complicated SI projects are, the more important EA is. Although many central government agencies and wide local governments implemented EA, the current level of EA utilization is still low. One of the reasons is the low level of EA updating. Some reasons of the low level of EA updating are the low frequency of EA updating, and the shortage of workers, as well. In order to improve the frequency of EA updating and alleviate the workloads of SI officers, MLTM (Ministry of land, transport, and maritime affairs) standardized the processes and documents for SI projects, and implemented PMS (Project Management System) that can support the unifying management of SI projects and be connected with EA system. We expect that EA information are updated efficiently, the level of EA utilization is boosted, and the qualities of SI products are improved, by the implementation of the PMS connected with EA system.

A timing signal board which can be used to analyze EA effect for coherent radar systems is introduced. It is capable of generating the timing signals that are needed for EA test about radar systems in real time. Its function to generate baseband target signal makes it easy to analyze EA effect. Because all parameters of timing signals can be changed by software, it is very easy to configure many kinds of test scenarios.

An Enterprise Architecture (EA) Framework is a tool which supports implementation of the Enterprise architecture that is used to enhance the interoperability of the IT components. In this paper, we propose a framework named as ENAE (ENterprise Architecture Framework) which combines enterprise architecture unit (AU), reference model, and association relationship between domain model. Architecture Unit is defined as a minimum set of a business process and its associated components such as application system and technical components. An EA can be designed and implemented by the aggregating the related AUs including association relationship between Architecture Units. Because UML model has limitations to describe business domain semantics because it is designed for general purpose, we adapt the DSM (Domain Specific Modeling) concept. We describe association relationship between Architecture Units designed by Domain Specific Modeling through Topic Map. Session 2 describes related works about Enterprise Architecture frameworks, Domain Specific Modeling, and Topic Map, while Session 3 explains components of the ENAF. Finally Session 4 shows the case study for implementation of the new Framework called ENAF.

Since EA includes huge information of a company, it takes long time and high cost for company's employees to search for what they need. We try to make the foundation to solve this problem by using ontology technology based on semantic web. In this paper, we try to verify efficiency of EA ontology by developing ontology for Business Enterprise Architecture(BEA). The purpose of this paper is to develop BEA ontology to provide new information by reasoner and to discover new relations between matadata by using extracted information and data. The EA ontology we developed will provide the new way of access and use for companies. The experience of ontology development will help EA ontology development in various domains. In the future, the development of other EAs which has more information resources will help to solve problems for interoperability between different EAs.

Today, Organizations should be equipped with flexibility in order to cope with rapidly changing environment in management. By doing so, they are able to grow and obtain their superior competitiveness in highly developed economic arena. Recently, Enterprise Architecture is actively constructed to perform such a change flexibly. In this regard, it is crucial to figure out some risk factors for the organizations that place an order. Besides, it is also important to find out the quality of EA and some risk factors caused by the organizations that receive an order. Lastly, it is absolutely important to verify the relationship between such factors and outcomes of EA. In this aspect, this study will verify risk factors made by the former organizations and investigate the quality of EA and its outcome by proving the said relationship. In doing so, it will suggest an appropriate direction for the companies that will build up or perform EA successfully.
