Characteristic Analysis of Spoke Type Permanent Magnet Generator Considering the Rotor Overhang (오버행을 고려한 Spoke Type 영구자석 발전기의 특성 해석)

  • The purpose of this paper is characteristic analysis of permanent magnet generator for AVR power of brushless synchronous generator. However, the PMG has a spoke type rotor with overhang, so we perform the analysis considering overhang for the precise airgap flux density. In this paper, dynamic analysis model with 2D FEM considering overhang is proposed by use of 2D, 3D static FEM results. The proposed method is verified by the results of PMG load test.

Studies on Cure Behaviors, Dielectric Characteristics and Mechanical Properties of DGEBA/Poly(ethylene terephthalate) Blends

  • The cure behaviors, dielectric characteristics and fracture toughness of diglycidylether of bisphenol-A (DGEBA)/poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) blend system were investigated. The degree of conversion for the DGEBA/PET blend system was measured using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The cure kinetics were investigated by measuring the cure activation energies ($E_a$) with dynamic differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The dielectric characteristic was examined by dielectric analysis (DEA). The mechanical properties were investigated by measuring the critical stress intensity factor ($K_{IC}$), critical strain energy release rate ($G_{IC}$), and impact strength test. As a result, DGEBAIPET was successfully blended. The Ea of the blend system was increased with increasing PET content to a maximum at 10 phr PET. The dielectric constant was decreased with increasing PET content. The mechanical properties of the blend system were also superior to those of the neat DGEBA. These results were attributed to the increased cross-linking density of the blend system, resulting from the interaction between the epoxy group of DGEBA and the carboxyl group of PET.

  • In this paper, we fabricate multi-channel receiver for radar system. This receiver at X-band can be received 8 signal of an identical characteristic, dynamic range has more than 80[dB]. To process direct received signals, this system has the built-in two digital de-modulators which offer the minimum loss on the receiving signal path and has high stability by adding Built-In Test. The gain, noise figure, difference of amplitude and phase on the signal path is respectively $14{\pm}2$[dB], 19[dB], ${\pm}2$[dB], $10^{\circ}$ and below.

  • THe dynamic characteristics of car are determined by ride quality and control stability. These characteristics are maintained by suspension, which is composed of springs, dampers and links. The values of these parameters are very important factor to determine the dynamic characteristic. Until now, most of company depends on trial-and-error method and driving test to solve this problem. But these methods are consumed many costs and time in developing process. In this paper,to minimize these difficulties,the proper model will be developed and analyzed the sensitivity of suspension parameter in time domain. On this ground, find the design parameter that have a dominant infuence on system response and estimate the change of system response values.

  • A railway open deck plate girder bridge without ballast should support relatively heavier vehicle loads compared with its self-weight. For such a reason, actual dynamic response of the bridge is considerably differing with normal prediction because additional masses added from vehicle to a bridge have an effect on the dynamic characteristics of the bridge. These differences affect to the estimation of a natural frequency change that adopted for one of the evaluation technique of strength decrease, and these make trouble to the analysis of a natural frequency from the field test data that measured at the bridge subjected to a running vehicle. In this study, classification of mass participation ratio for each component of open deck plate girder bridge without ballast and the comparison according to the change of vibration characteristics for the case of subjected to a running vehicle were accomplished.

  • In this study, it is demonstrated by a pseudo dynamic earthquake response tests that combination of semi-rigid partial-strength using the high performance-high strength bolts and inter-story hysteretic damper system creates a fairly good structural system that satisfies not only the serviceability requirement under moderate earthquakes but unexpected failure of damper system.

  • 개방형 액체로켓엔진 시스템에 대한 동특성 예측 프로그램을 작성하였다. 이 프로그램을 통해 얻은 펌프 시동 시 시간에 따른 압력 및 유량 변화 결과를 수류실험장치를 구축하여 실험적으로 검증하였다. 수류실험장치는 실제 액체로켓엔진 추진제 공급 계통에서 구성품의 형태와 배치위치, 가스발생기와 주연소실로 분기되는 유량비를 기준으로 모사되었다. 측정 시 관로가 채워진 상태에서 펌프를 시동하였으며 펌프는 전동기로 구동된다. 동특성 예측 프로그램의 작성을 위해 구성품별 동특성 모델링을 수행하고 엔진 시스템을 기준으로 각 모델링을 순차적으로 통합하였다. 구성품의 동특성 파라미터를 측정 반영하였고 압력 밸런싱을 통해 수렴 조건이 결정된다. 수렴된 밀도와 유량을 가지고 다음 시간에서의 초기 입력 값으로 대체하여 계산을 수행하였다. 천이 작동 상태에서 엔진 시스템 내의 물리량 변화를 전산 예측과 더불어 실험적으로 측정하고 비교하였다.

Perception of small-obstacle using ultrasonic sensors for a mobile robot (이동로봇을 위한 초음파센서를 이용한 소형장해물 감지)

  • This paper describes a perception of small-obstacle using ultrasonic sensors in a mobile robot. The research on the avoidance of the large-obstacles such as a wall, a large box, etc. using ultrasonic sensors has been generally progressed up to now. But the mobile robot could meet a small-obstacle such as a small plastic bottle of about 1 l in quantity, a small box of 7${\times}$7${\times}$7 cm3 in volume, and so on in its designated path, and could be disturbed by them in the locomotion of the mobile robot. So, it is necessary to research on the avoidance of a small-obstacle. In this paper, the small-obstacle perceiving system was designed and fabricated by arranging four ultrasonic sensors on the plastic plate to avoid a small-obstacle. The small-obstacle perceiving system was installed on the above part of the mobile robot with the slope of 40.7$^{\circ}$ to a horizontal line. The static characteristic test and the dynamic characteristic test were performed to know the information of the used ultrasonic sensors. As a result, the mobile robot with the small-obstacle perceiving system could avoid a small-obstacle, and could move in indoor environment safely.

Experimental Investigation on Combustion Characteristics of Liquid Kerosene and Gelled Kerosene Using Shear Coaxial Injector (전단동축인젝터를 이용한 액상 케로신 및 젤 케로신의 연소특성에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • In this study, a hot-firing test of a lab-scale gel rocket motor using liquid kerosene and gelled kerosene as fuel was performed in order to analyze the discrepancy of the static and dynamic pressure between the two fuels. The static pressure, characteristic velocity, and characteristic velocity efficiency of the liquid kerosene and gelled kerosene did not show any significant difference. However, in the case of dynamic pressure characteristics, the pressure oscillation amplitude in a specific high frequency region of the gelled kerosene demonstrated a significantly higher amplitude than liquid kerosene case. This is considered to be the effect of an intrinsic combustion mechanism of the gel propellant, and it can be postulated that this may act as a dominant factor influencing the high frequency combustion instability of the gel rocket motor.

Hydropneumatic Modeling and Analysis of a Heavy Truck Cabin Air Suspension System (대형 트럭 캐빈 공기 현가장치의 유공압 모델링 및 해석)

  • In this paper, a hydropneumatic modeling and analysis of a heavy truck cabin air suspension system is presented. Cabin air suspension system is a system which improves ride comfort of a heavy truck and it can reduce vibration between truck frame and cabin. The components of the system, air spring, shock absorber, leveling valve and full cabin system are mathematically modelled using AMESim software. Simulation results of components and full cabin system are compared with experimental data of components and test results of a cabin using 6 axis simulation table. It is found that the simulation results are in good agreements with test results, and the hydropneumatic model can be used well to predict dynamic characteric of heavy truck cabin air suspension system.
