  • A critical problem in the integration of stores into new and existing aircraft is the safe separation of the stores from the aircraft at a variety of flight conditions representative of the aircraft flight regime. Typically, the certification of a particular store/aircraft/flight condition combination is accomplished by a flight test. Flight tests are very expensive and do expose the pilot and aircraft to a certain amount of risk. Wind tunnel testing, although less expensive than flight testing, is still expensive. Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) has held out the promise of alleviating expensive and risk by simulating weapons separation computationally. The forces and moments on a store at carriage and at various points in the flow field of te aircraft can be computed using CFD applied to the full aircraft and store geometry. This study needs full dynamic characteristics study and flow analysis for securing store separation safety. Present study performs dynamic simulation of store separation with flow analysis using Chimera grid scheme which is usually used for moving simulations.

소형 인공위성 발사체 충격저감용 PTFE(테프론) 소재 아이솔레이터 연구 (The study of PTFE isolator equipped to small satellite launch vehicle to reduce the separation shock)

  • Pyro-shock generally refers to the severe mechanical transients caused by the detonation of an ordnance device on a structure. Such device on a structure, including linear explosive, and point explosive are widely used to accomplish in-flight separation of structural elements on aerospace vehicle. And they are a significant cause of launch vehicle failures. The launch vehicle being developed in Korea also uses the explosive for separation events. In this paper, the isolator equipped to small satellite launch vehicle made of PTFE(Teflon) is developed to reduce the separation shock. The test to measure dynamic stiffness of PTFE isolator is performed. This test enables us to find the frequency range of PTFE isolator. And,, pyre-shock test using explosive to evaluate the performance of PTFE isolator is executed. from this study, the isolator conformed to frequency range and load requirement is developed using PTFE instead of rubber.

오일시일의 동적거동에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Dynamic Behaviour of Oil Seals)

  • This paper deals with an experimental study on the dynamic behaviour of rubber oil seals when the interferences between the shaft and the seal lip as well as the dynamic eccentricities are present. The micro-separation of the sealing gap was observed with the aid of an image processing apparatus. The temperature of the seal lip edge, friction torque and the dynamic sealing gap profile are experimentally investigated for the initial interference and the shaft eccentricity. The data was simultaneously measured under the operation conditions. Experimental results show that, as the shaft speed is increased, the leakage of sealed fluids is increasing for a certain range of shaft speeds. The test data indicates that the shaft eccentricity clearly produces the gap separation between the shaft and the seal lip which is unable to follow the radial displacement of shaft as the shaft speed increases.

  • 현재의 많은 유도무기들은 발사관에 장착되어 보관 및 이동되다가 필요시 발사된다. 발사관이란 유도탄 즉 미사일등이 외부환경에 노출되지 않도록 유도탄을 둘러싸고 있는 일종의 케이스이며 또한 유도탄 발사시 가이드 역할을 동시에 수행한다. 유도탄과 발사관을 연결하는 방법으로 흔히 사용되는 것으로 탄고정장치를 사용하는데 대표적인 파이로 부품이 폭발볼트이다. 폭발볼트는 화약의 폭발력에 의해 볼트몸체가 절개됨으로써 볼트에 의해 결합되고 있던 부분이 분리된다. 하지만 기존의 폭발볼트는 분리시 파편, 화염 및 pyro-shock이라는 악작용을 수반하므로 사용상 제한을 가지고 있다. 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 압력카트리지에서 발생하는 압력을 분리력으로 사용할 수 있는 분리장치 즉 볼타입 볼트를 개발하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 볼타입볼트의 분리현상을 분석하여 분리볼트의 분리성능 안전율을 정량적으로 제시하였다.

무궁화위성 3호 발사환경시험 결과분석 (Launch Environment Test Results of Koreasat-3)

  • Koreasat-3 was successfully launched by an Ariane IV launch vehicle on September 5, 1999. Although the primary purpose of the satellite is to replace Koreasat-l, it also can extend its communication service coverage over the Asia-Pacific region. A spacecraft is subjected to severe dynamic loads during launch period. To verify the safety of spacecraft under the launch environment, dynamic tests should be performed such as sine sweep, acoustic and separation shock tests. This paper presents the launch environment test results of Koreasat-3. A total of 188 acceleration responses was measured and compared with the design requirements of components and spacecraft. Dynamic characteristic change was also investigated by comparing between low-level pre/post vibration results. From the review of test results, it is concluded that Koreasat-3 was designed and manufactured with the margin of safety enough to survive the launch loads of Ariane IV.

  • 고체추진 로켓모타의 개발이나 성능평가 때에는 추진기관의 추력, 연소실 압력, 온도, 연소시간 등 정적연소시험을 통해서 필요한 데이터론 측정한다. 그러나 휴대용 대공 유도무기의 경우에는 추진기 관의 화염으로부터 사수를 보호하기 위해 대단히 까다로운 안전규정을 요구하고 있다. 이러한 안전 규정들을 만족시키기 위해 설계된 분리장치나 점화안전장치의 개발 및 성능평가를 위해서는 이들 장치들이 결합된 추진기관에 대해 실제 비행 환경 하에서 설계목표의 신뢰도를 시험하기 위한 동적연소시험이 수행되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 휴대용 대공 유도무기 추진시스템의 개발이나 성능평가를 위한 동적연소시험 기법 및 동적시험대의 설계 및 제작에 관한 연구를 수행하였다.

ID-LOC 분리 기반 인터넷 구조에서 분산형 매핑 시스템의 구현 및 평가 (Implementation and Evaluation of Dynamic and Distributed Mapping System in ID-LOC Separation Internet Architecture)

  • 본 논문에서는 모바일 중심의 미래 인터넷을 위한 Mobile-Oriented Future Internet (MOFI) 구조를 소개하고, 호스트 Identifier(ID)와 Locator(LOC)의 분리를 토대로 설계된 MOFI 구조에서 ID와 LOC의 분산형 매핑 제어 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 Dynamic and Distributed Mapping System (DDMS) 기법에서는 ID와 LOC의 매핑 기능을 각 도메인의 Access Router(AR)에 분산시킴으로서 기존의 Proxy Mobile IP (PMIP) 프로토콜의 중앙집중형 방식의 문제점을 개선하였다. 성능 분석을 위해 리눅스 플랫폼에서 MOFI 구조와 제안하는 매핑 제어 기능을 구현하였고, 테스트베드 실험을 통해 기존 PMIP에 비해 제안 기법이 데이터 전송 측면에서 더 효율적임을 확인하였다.

Dynamic analysis and model test on steel-concrete composite beams under moving loads

  • This paper is concerned with the dynamic analysis of simply-supported steel-concrete composite beams under moving loads. Considering the interface slip between steel girder and concrete slab, the governing motion equations are derived from the direct balanced method. By variable separation approach, the analytical solution of natural frequencies and mode shapes are obtained, as well as the orthogonal conditions. Then the dynamic responses of the composite beam under moving loads are analyzed, and compared with the experimental results. The analysis results show that the governing motion equations become more complicated when interface slip is taken into account, and the dynamic behaviors are significantly influenced by the shear connection stiffness. In the dynamic calculation of composite beams, the global stiffness should not be reduced as the same factor to all orders, but as different ones according to the dynamic stiffness reduction factor (DSRF), to which should be paid more attention in calculation, design and experiment, or else great deviation is inevitable.

항공기 내부무장 분리특성 분석을 위한 풍동시험연구 (An Experimental Study on Aircraft Internal Store Separation Characteristics)

  • This study investigates store separation characteristics of an unmanned aerial vehicle having generic stealth configuration over unsteady flow of an internal bay. Free-drop wind tunnel tests are conducted to simulate bomb releases from an internal weapons bay while high-speed camera images are taken. The images are analyzed to examine the effects of flow velocity, angle of attack, flap deflection and the ejector force application on the store separation trajectories. For the free-drop wind tunnel tests, Froude Scaling is applied to match the dynamic similarity for the bomb model, and the ejector force is simulated by using small pneumatic cylinders. The results indicate that the test bomb model safely separates from the internal bay at the given test conditions and configurations. It is also observed that the effects of the flow velocity and ejector force application have greater impacts on the separation trajectories than those of angle of attack and flap deflection.
