A Study of the Color Image of Clothing -Selected the period of Art Deco- (아르데코 시대를 중심으로 한 복식의 색채 이미지에 관한연구)

  • The study was proposed to establish the effective color image planning and to suggest the color combination data for clothing through historic costume. To test the suggested method The Color Image Scale developed in Japan was adapted, For the practical study 21 fashion illustrations of Art Deco period (1910-1930) were selec-ted. Color images analysed from these illustrations were seleted with the key words extracted from political economical social background and art of Art Deco period. Three of the image categories clear modern and dynamic were sutable to express the images of this period. The image categories representing color image of Art Deco costume were dynamic modern classic, casual, clear, nature and gorgeous.

  • While close range photogrammetry has been widely applied for static deformation analysis, video cameras have many characteristics that make them the sensors of choice for dynamic analysis of rapidly changing situations. They also have limitations. The aim of this research is to explore the potential of a video system for monitoring dynamic objects. A pilot system consists of two camcorders, VCR, and PC with frame grabber. To estimte the performance of this system for moving objects, a car was imaged covering several phases when starting to drive. The sequential images of a moving car were recorded on VCR. 15 images per second were digitized in an off-line mode by frame grabber. The image coordinates of targets attached to the rear bumper of a car were acquired by IDRISI, and the object coordinates were derived based on DLT. This research suggests that home video cameras, PC, and photogrammetric principles are promising tools for monitoring of the moving objects and vibrations as well as other time dependent situations.

  • Purpose: To assess diagnostic accuracy of dynamic contrast enhanced MR mammography in differentiating between benign and malignant lesions. Materials and methods: Ninety-three patients with suspicious mammographic, sonographic or palpable findings underwent pre- or postoperative contrast-enhanced MR imaging of breast using three dimensional fast low-angle shot (3D FLASH) sequence (16/4 msec[repetition time / echo time], 20 flip angle, 3mm slice thickness with no slice gap, 256 by 256 in-plane matrix) covering whole breasts. T1 weighted images were obtained before and after bolus administration of gadopentetate dimeglumine (0.15 mmol/kg). Subtraction images and time-signal intensity curves of region of interest were obtained sequentially and correlated with pathologic diagnoses of lesions.

  • In order to increase productivity in conventional stereolithography. Microstereolithography using a digital micramirror device $(DMD^{TM})$ as a dynamic patter generator is proposed The deviation from a level of clear optical images to a level of a photopolymer surface is a key for the fabrication of an accurate 3D structure. so this deviation is minimized by controlling the viscosity of FA1260T with organic solvents. After finding the appropriate process valuables (exposure time of optical images. layer thickness of each layer). the feasibility of microstructures such as a microgear and a microsphere is then demonstrated. Microstereolithography wi th $DMD^{TM}$ might eventually replace conventional laser induced microstereolithography market such as in the manufacturing of jewels and medical parts.

  • In this paper, we propose a SIFT feature-based dynamic stitching algorithm for image calibration and correction of a 360-degree surround view system. The existing surround view system requires a lot of processing time and money because in the process of image calibration and correction. The traditional marker patterns are placed around the vehicle and correction is performed manually. Therefore, in this study, images captured with four fisheye cameras mounted on the surround view system were distorted and then matched with the same feature points in adjacent images through SIFT-based feature point extraction to enable image stitching without a fixed marker pattern.

  • Multi-camera systems which integrate two or more low-cost digital cameras are adopted to reach higher ground coverage and improve the base-height ratio in low altitude remote sensing. To guarantee accurate multi-camera integration, the geometric relationship among cameras must be determined through platform calibration techniques. This paper proposed a combined two-step platform calibration method. In the first step, the static platform calibration was conducted based on the stable relative orientation constraint and convergent conditions among cameras in static environments. In the second step, a dynamic platform self-calibration approach was proposed based on not only tie points but also straight lines in order to correct the small change of the relative relationship among cameras during dynamic flight. Experiments based on the proposed two-step platform calibration method were carried out with terrestrial and aerial images from a multi-camera system combined with four consumer-grade digital cameras onboard an unmanned aerial vehicle. The experimental results have shown that the proposed platform calibration approach is able to compensate the varied relative relationship during flight, acquiring the mosaicing accuracy of virtual images smaller than 0.5pixel. The proposed approach can be extended for calibrating other low-cost multi-camera system without rigorously mechanical structure.

Self-adaptive and Bidirectional Dynamic Subset Selection Algorithm for Digital Image Correlation

  • The selection of subset size is of great importance to the accuracy of digital image correlation (DIC). In the traditional DIC, a constant subset size is used for computing the entire image, which overlooks the differences among local speckle patterns of the image. Besides, it is very laborious to find the optimal global subset size of a speckle image. In this paper, a self-adaptive and bidirectional dynamic subset selection (SBDSS) algorithm is proposed to make the subset sizes vary according to their local speckle patterns, which ensures that every subset size is suitable and optimal. The sum of subset intensity variation (${\eta}$) is defined as the assessment criterion to quantify the subset information. Both the threshold and initial guess of subset size in the SBDSS algorithm are self-adaptive to different images. To analyze the performance of the proposed algorithm, both numerical and laboratory experiments were performed. In the numerical experiments, images with different speckle distribution, different deformation and noise were calculated by both the traditional DIC and the proposed algorithm. The results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm achieves higher accuracy than the traditional DIC. Laboratory experiments performed on a substrate also demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is effective in selecting appropriate subset size for each point.

  • The physical display technology is the ultimate display technology that human beings aspire, and the world makes use of laser, plasma and reflector plate. Besides, technology development of binocular stereoscopic display has been actively progressed, but there is a limitation to the intact physical representation such as influence of optical ambient light and brightness. In this paper, the display technology using physical deformation different from the existing optical display is approached as a cultural and emotional perspective. The purpose of this paper is to develop the multivariate display technology that can create 3D realistic stereoscopic images through projecting dynamic images on physically diversified screen by overcoming the limitations of 2D planar digital signage and study how to apply them to video, exhibition and performance.

Real-time Flame Detection Using Colour and Dynamic Features of Flame Based on FFmpeg (화염의 색상 및 동적 특성을 이용한 FFmpeg 기반 실시간 화염 검출)

  • In this paper, we propose a system which can detect the flame in real time from the high-quality IP camera. First, open directly the RTSP streams transmitted from the IP camera using the library FFmpeg as opening a video file. The second thing is to extract the background images from video signal using Gaussian mixture model. Then the foreground images are obtained through subtracting operation between the input image and the background image. Separated foreground image through a mathematical morphology operation are considered as candidate area. By analysing colour information and dynamic characteristics of the candidate area, flame is determined finally. Through the experiments with input videos from IP camera, the proposed algorithms were useful to detect flames.

A case study on high school students' mental image in the process of solving regular polyhedron problems (정다면체 문제 해결 과정에서 나타나는 고등학교 학생들의 심상에 관한 사례연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze how high school students form and interpret the mental image in the process of solving regular polyhedron problems. For this purpose, a set of problems about the regular polyhedron's vertex is developed on the base of the regular polyhedron's duality and circulation. and applied to 2 students of the 12th graders in D high school. After 2 hours of teaching and learning and another 2 hours of mental image-analysis process, the following research findings are obtained. Fisrt, a student who recorded medium high-level grade in the national scholastic test can build the dynamic image or the patten image in the process of solving regular polyhedron's vertex problems by utilizing the 3D geometry program. However, the other student who recorded low-level grade can build the concrete-pictorial image. Second, pattern image or dynamic image can help students solve the regular polyhedron's vertex problems by proper transformation of informations and the mental images while the concrete-pictorial image does not help. Hence, it is recommended that the mathematics teachers should develop teaching and learning materials about the regular polyhedron's duality and circulation and also give students suitable questions to build the various mental images.
