Integer Programming Approach to the Convergence Adjustment on Color Display Tube

  • In this paper, we consider the adjustment of convergence on Color Display Tube (CDT). Convergence is a measure of how well the red, green and blue beams are physically aligned with each other to strike the same area on the screen. When misconvergence (convergence error) occurs, one way of compensating it is to attach several ferrite sheets on the inner part of Deflection Yoke (DY). We suggest an optimization model of misconvergence compensation process and report test results for 81 DY samples. As a result, more than 90% of the samples could be made to satisfy the required convergence criteria.

  • 란탄나이드 3가($Pr^{3+}$$Dy^{3+}$)와 유기 리간드를 (phen', terpy') 착물들의 거동을 UV/vis 분광분석, 자기화 그리고 전기화학적 방법에 의해 조사하였다. 착물들의 결정장 갈라짐 에너지 크기와 짝지움에너지 그리고 스핀상태는 착물들의 스펙트라로부터 얻었다. 이들 착물들에 대한 전지화학적 거동은 비수용매속에서 순환 전압전류법에 의해 관찰하였다. 이들 환원피크는 전자 전이에 의한 비가역적인 2단계의 환원 과정이었다.

In Theorem 2.3 and its proof, "${\lambda}{\int}_{0}^{D}f(y)s(x-y)dy$" appears three times (including one in (2.20)). To each of these, "${\lambda}_{po}s(x)$" should be added. 5. In Remark 2.5, "${\lambda}dt_{p0}/s(x)dx" should be added to "${\int}_{0}^{D}{\lambda}dt\;s(x-y)dxf(y)dy$". As a result of these corrections, a simpler proof of Theorem 2.3 becomes available. Substituting (2.18), (2.21), (2.22) into the left hand side of (2.20) and comparing the result with (2.10), we have the right hand side of (2.20).

Genetic Variation of High Molecular Weight Glutenin (HMW-Glu) Subunit in Korean Wheat

  • High molecular weight glutenin (HMW-Glu) subunit compositions of 73 Korean wheat cultivars and experimental lines were evaluated by using one dimensional sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. This method is suitable for obtaining a good resolution of 1Dx2 and 1Ax2$^*$ without adverse effects on separation of other HMW-Glu subunits. Korean wheats examined in this study could be divided into 15 different groups on the basis of HMW-Glu subunit compositions. From the wheat lines tested, it was identified that there were three alleles at the Glu-Al, five at the Glu-Bl and three at the Glu-D1 loci. The null allele of the Glu-Al was occurred in high frequency (79.4%), while low frequencies for 1Ax1 (12.3%) and 1Ax2$^*$(8.2%) were found. High frequency (75.3%) of the subunit pairs of 1Bx7+1By8 at the Glu-Bl loci compared with other subunits was found. The frequencies of subunits 1Dx2. 2+1Dy12 and 1Dx2+1Dy12 from the Glu-D1 loci were 54. 8% and 37.0%, respectively. However, a few Korean wheat lines (8.2%) carried 1Dx5 + 1Dy10 subunit pair which are responsible for good breadmaking quality. The information of HMW-Glu subunit compositions provide a useful tool to characterize wheat lines, and can be directly used in selection of breeding lines of different end-use properties.

최소검출한계, 잠상퇴행 및 반복사용으로 인한 감도면화 결정에 의한 $CaSO_4$:Dy 열형광선량계 특성 (Characteristics of $CaSO_4$:Dy TL Dosimeters by Determining LLDs, Fadings and Sensitivity Changes in Repeat Uses)

  • 현재 한국원자력연구소에서 개인방사선피폭관리용으로 사용되고 있는 C-300-A $CaSO_4$:Dy 열형광선량재의 최소검출한계(LLD)를 계산 및 실험에 의하여 구하였으며, 이때 오차의 확율이 자연방사선의 측정변화에 기인되는 선량준위로 정의되는 임계준위도 함께 구하였다. 개인방사선피폭서비스를 수행하는 기관에서는 이를 이용하여 개인선량계 패용 기간동안의 자연방사선 판독결과와 기지의 선량을 조사시킨 선량제의 판독결과로부터 쉽게 LLD를 구할수 있다. 또한 3개월간에 걸쳐 온도 및 습도의 변화에 따른 개인선량제의 잠상퇴행률을 실험적으로 구하였다. 마지막으로 40회 연속사용시 개인선량계의 반복사용에 의한 감도변화를 측정하였다. 본 실험결과 얻어진 잠상퇴행률과 연속사용시의 감도변화를 실제 개인방사선피폭 평가시 적용방법에 대하여 간략하게 논의하였다.

Sr4Al14O25 형광체의 합성과 발광특성 (Synthesis and Luminescent Characteristics of Sr4Al14O25 Phosphor)

  • $Sr_{4}Al_{14}O_{25}$ was synthesized by solid state reaction with flux. $H_{3}BO_3$ was used to synthesize $SrO-Al_{2}O_{3}$ phosphor system as a flux. The effect of doping system such as Eu+Dy, Eu, and Ce on the luminescent properties of $Sr_{4}Al_{14}O_{25}$ was investigated. Both PL spectra of $Sr_{4}Al_{14}O_{25}$:Eu and $Sr_{4}Al_{14}O_{25}$:Eu+Dy excited at 390 nm showed greenish-blue emission at about 490 nm, while the emission wavelength was shifted to 400 nm by doping Ce. The reduction of $Eu^{3+}$ ions to $Eu^{2+}$ could be accomplished by the annealing process under $N_{2}^{+}$ vacuum atmosphere, and attributed to the emission at 490 nm. It is verified that $Sr_{4}Al_{14}O_{25}$:Eu phosphor is suitable for white LEDs became of a broad absorption band peaking at 390 nm.

Microstructure and Varistor Properties of ZVMND Ceramics with Sintering Temperature

  • The sintering effect on the microstructure, electrical properties, and dielectric characteristics of ZnO-V2O5-MnO2-Nb2O5-Dy2O3-based ceramics was investigated. With the increase of sintering temperature from 875 to 950℃, the density of the sintered pellets decreased from 5.57 to 5.45 g/cm3 and the average grain size increased from 4.3 to 10.9 μm. The breakdown field decreased noticeably from 6,095 to 996 V/cm with the increase of sintering temperature. The varistor ceramics sintered at 900℃ exhibited the best nonlinear properties: 39.2 in the nonlinear coefficient and 0.24 mA/cm2 in the leakage current density. The dielectric constant increased sharply from 658.6 to 2,928.8 with the increase of sintering temperature. On the whole, the dissipation factor exhibited a fluctuation with the increase of the sintering temperature, and a minimum value of 0.284 at 900℃.

초자왜소자의 자왜 특성의 측정 (Measurement of the Magnetostrictive Properties of Giant Magnetostrictive Alloy)

  • 본 논문에서는 초자왜소자 $Terfenol-D(Tb_{0.3}Dy_{0.7}Fe_{1.9~1.95})$의 인가자장에 따른 자왜의 변화를 측정하였고, 잔류 자왜 및 초자왜소자의 온도 상승에 의한 열팽창 변형의 영향을 조사 하였다. 또한 초자왜소자에 3.5~14 MPa의 압축 응력을 인가하면서 자왜의 변화를 조사하였다. 그 결과는 인 가 압축 응력이 7 MPa인 경우 1500 Oe의 자장에서의 자왜는 1000 ppm이었으나 압축 응력을 가하지 않은 경 우는 400 ppm이었다. 또한 인가 압축 응력이 커짐에 따라서 자왜가 포화되는 자장의 크기도 커졌다. 잔류 변형과 히스테리시스가 관측되었으며, 따라서 액츄에이터로 이용할 때는 이를 보상하는 기구가 필요하며 또 한 열팽창에 의한 변형도 액츄에이터 응용시에는 고려하여야 한다.

Effect of Sintering Temperature on Microstructure, Electrical and Dielectric Properties of (V, Mn, Co, Dy, Bi)-Codoped Zinc Oxide Ceramics

  • The effect of sintering temperature on the microstructure, electrical and dielectric properties of (V, Mn, Co, Dy, Bi)-codoped zinc oxide ceramics was investigated in this study. An increase in the sintering temperature increased the average grain size from 4.7 to $10.4{\mu}m$ and decreased the sintered density from 5.47 to $5.37g/cm^3$. As the sintering temperature increased, the breakdown field decreased greatly from 6027 to 1659 V/cm. The ceramics sintered at $900^{\circ}C$ were characterized by the highest nonlinear coefficient (36.2) and the lowest low leakage current density ($36.4{\mu}A/cm^2$). When the sintering temperature increased, the donor concentration of the semiconducting grain increased from $2.49{\times}10^{17}$ to $6.16{\times}10^{17}/cm^3$, and the density of interface state increased from $1.34{\times}10^{12}$ to $1.99{\times}10^{12}/cm^2$. The dielectric constant increased greatly from 412.3 to 1234.8 with increasing sintering temperature.

Antioxidant Activity of Indigenous Trametes Species in Korea

  • The fungal genus Trametes is globally distributed and comprises various wood-decay species, including the well-known medicinal mushroom Trametes versicolor, a popular remedy in traditional Asian medicine. Trametes species produce antioxidants, which have a wide range of health benefits. The pressent study evaluated seven indigenous Trametes species from Korea, which were cultivated in three different media (dextrose-yeast extract, DY; malt extract-yeast extract, MY; malt extract broth, MEB) and tested for antioxidant activity using the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl and 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) assays. We found that the medium consumption rate did not significantly differ between the media and among the strains (72-76%). However, the T. versicolor strains had a relatively low consumption rate (14-65%). The 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2'-azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonate) (ABTS) tests demonstrated that culture filtrates of T. cf. junipericola, T. orientalis, T. suaveolens, and T. versicolor possessed antioxidant activity against damage from free radicals. In particular, T. cf. junipericola (DY) and T. versicolor (MY) had >80% activity in the DPPH and ABTS assays, compared with that of the positive control (ascorbic acid). Thus, our study identified promising candidates with substantial antioxidant activity among the indigenous strains of Trametes spp. from Korea.
