직접전단시험에 의한 폐타이어 혼합경량토의 전단특성 연구 (Shearing Properties of Waste Tire Powder-Added Lightweight Soil by Direct Shear Test)

  • This study investigated the shear strength characteristics of waste tire powder-added lightweight soil (WTLS), which were developed to recycle dredged soil, bottom ash, and waste tires. The WTLS used in this experiment consisted of dredged soil, bottom ash, waste tire powder, and cement. Test specimens were prepared with various contents of waste tire powder ranging from 0% to 100% at 25% intervals and bottom ash contents of 0% or 100% by the weight of the dry dredged soil. In this study several series of direct shear tests were carried out, which indicated that the shear properties of WTLS were strongly influenced by the mixing conditions, such as the waste tire powder content and bottom ash content. The unit weight, as well as the shear strength of the WTLS, decreased with an increase in waste tire powder content. The shear strength of WTLS with bottom ash was 1.34 times greater than that of WTLS without bottom ash. An average increase in cohesion of 30 kPa was obtained in WTLS with the inclusion of bottom ash due to the bond strength induced from the pozzolanic reaction of the bottom ash. In this test, the maximum value of the internal friction angle was obtained with a 25% content of waste tire powder.

준설토의 유실율 평가방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Estimation of Loss Rate of Hydraulic Fills)

  • Recently, the hydraulic fill method is commonly used in many reclamation projects due to lack of fill materials. The method of hydraulic fill in reclamation is executed by transporting the mixture of water-soil particles into a reclaimed land through dredging pipes, then the dredged soil particles settle down in the water or flow over an out flow weir with the water. In the present study, practice each three method in order to suggest method of determining the loss rate of the dredged fills. The first sieve and hydrometer analysis were performed with the soil samples obtained before and after dredging and then apply theory of particle breakage, the second compare with the volume of dredged soil between at the dredging area and the target pond and the last compare with weight of dredged soil between before and after dredging at the dredging area and in the target pond for estimating the amount of soil particles residual at the reclaimed area and the loss of soil particles passed through the weir. In addition to compare with the loss ratio between as using Marsal's modified theory of particle breakage and measured weight and volume in the field.

토양개량재와 황토가 준설토의 이화학성과 느릅나무의 초기 생장에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Soil Conditioner and Loess on Physio-Chemical Properties of Dredged Soil and Seedling Height Growth of Ulmus davidiana var. japonica)

  • This research was conducted to compare the effect of soil amendment and loess on physial and chemical properties of dredged soil and primary height growth of Ulmus davidiana var. japonica. Three types of research plots: control plot (Dredged soil only), DC treatment plot (Dredged soil + soil amendment) and DCL treatment plot (Dredged soil + soil amendment + Loess) were set at Okgu research site in Saemanguem. 32 trees of U. davidiana var. japonica were planted in each plots after 14 months from the construction. Soil texture, pH, electrical conductivity (EC), organic matter (OM), total nitrogen (TN), available P, exchangeable cation ($K^+$, $Na^+$, $Mg^{2+}$, $Ca^{2+}$) and sodium chloride were measured after 3 years from the construction. Also, survival rate and height of U. davidiana var. japonica were measured 22 months after planting, and the correlation between height of trees and the physico-chemical properties of soil were analyzed. Even though pH in both DC and DCL treatment plots are lower than control plot, they are still alkaline (> pH 8). OM, TN and available P in both DC and DCL treatment were higher than the control. Particularly, the content of available P in both DC and DCL treatment plots are 1.4~5.1 times and 2.0~3.1 times higher than the control respectively. The concentration of exchangeable Mg in DCL treatment plot was 1.1~5.5 times higher than the control (p < .05). The survival rate of the species was the highest in DCL treatment plot (98%) followed by DC treatment plot and the control. The average height of the trees in both DC and DCL treatment plots is 1.1m while the control is 0.8m. OM, TN, available P, K+ were significantly related to the height of U. davidiana var. japonica(p < .01). The results indicate that soil amendment affects on soil physial and chemical properties of dredged soil and height growth of U. davidiana var. japonica.

상대밀도의 변화에 따른 새만금준설토의 액상화 특성 (Liquifaction Characteristics of Saemangeum Dredged Sand Depending on Relative Density)

  • 느슨한 준설 매립층은 아주 작은 지진동으로 인해 액상화가 발생하는 경우가 있다. 새만금 준설토의 액상화 거동특성을 반복삼축압축시험에 의해 조사하였고, 타 문헌에서의 다른 모래의 액상화 특성과 비교하였다. 조사를 위해 상대밀도의 변화에 따른 일련의 비배수 반복삼축압축시험이 압밀구속압을 달리하여 수행되었다. 연구결과 반복응력은 압밀구속압에 따라 선형적으로 증가하나, 반복응력을 압밀구속압으로 무차원화한 반복응력비는 일정한 값을 보인다. 또한, 상대밀도의 증가에 따라 반복응력비는 선형적으로 증가하나, 문헌조사에 의한 다른 모래에 비해 액상화에 취약한 특성을 보인다.

  • In some port construction, a case of reclamation with dredged soil for land use can be found. Even though this is not a new technology, there are some problems on the test method and analysis. The design parameters are still remained to be solved to get accurate prediction. Sedimentation of particle and self-weight consolidation are the most important design parameters in reclamation by dredged soils. The design parameters are influenced by properties of the physical and sedimentation of dredged soils. This influencing factors can be determined depend on the history of long term sedimentation and particle characteristics. Thus, properties of the sedimentation and consolidation are varies depend on the regional geologic formation. In this paper, three different sites with different regional soil properties will be compared in design parameters of sedimentation and self-weight consolidation.

  • Sediment has been increasingly acknowledged as a carrier in water system and an available contamination. For this reason, dredging of sediment in reservoir to remediate water quality and secure storage capacity is conducted annually. However, disposal of numerous dredged sediment is necessary as a secondary problem. Currently, in Korea, dredged sediment is classified as waste to be reclamated or recycled into sandy soil, however, they are still in trouble because of spacial and environmental problem. Therefore, rather than simple disposal or reuse into sandy soil, it is necessary to research on method to manage main cause of pollution and increase the value as a resource. In this study, we intend to develop a recycle technology for numerous dredged sediment produced by dredging in deteriorated reservoirs using solidificator (stabilizer). To achieve this, we will consider utilization of dredged sediment and evaluation of use possibility as natural recycle by analysis the characteristics of soil-solidificator mixture in terms of physicochemical properties and the mixing ratio between sediment and solidificator.

전자기장을 이용한 준설토 고효율 이송기술 실증 및 기술 지침 개발 (Dredging Material High Efficiency Transport Technology Test by Using the Electro Magnetic Field and Development of the Technical Design Manual)

  • As the research about increasing the efficiency of dredging soil transport, the technology, which reduce the friction between pipe wall and fluid in the pipe and disturbed generating pipe blockage, has been developed. So for the purpose of applying this technology to real construction site, main test has been tried at the real scale test in field. As a test result, this paper will show 30% flow efficiency increasing by permitted electro magnetic force to the pipe. And test result was evaluated as a ultra sonic velocity profiler. To propose the design technique and the execution manual of the high efficiency dredging material transport technic, this research have confirmed flow status changing depending on a soil material kind under electro-magnetic field and analyze the effect of electro-magnetic field which affects to each dredged soil material transportation. For achieving this research, EMF(Electro-Magnetic Field) generator is installed on the dredger(20,000HP) and through monitored flow status, dredging soil flow rate and sampled material specification is confirmed. Also dredger operating condition is measured and dredger power for soil transportation, hydraulic gradient and flow rate are compared, as transportation efficiency is calculated by this parameter, it is possible to check transportation efficiency improvement depending on each dredged soil material under electro-magnetic field. To verify the technique of dredged soil transfer using electromagnetic field, which is the core technique of the high efficiency dredged soil transfer, and the technique of expert system for pipeline transfer and the flow state. This could lead to a verification of transfer efficiency according to the characteristics of the dredged soil (sand, clay, silt) and the transfer distance (5km, 10km, 15km), which is planned to be used for a technology development of pump power reduction and long-distance transfer applying the high efficiency dredged soil transfer technology.

해양준설토 CLSM을 이용한 지하매설관 변형특성 (Deformation Behavior of Underground Pipe with Controlled Low Strength Materials with Marine Dredged Soil)

  • 건설지반재료의 부족과 환경보존의 중요성이 대두되는 현실에서 해양준설토를 건설자원으로의 재활용 방안을 연구하는 것은 매우 시급한 실정이다. 선진국에서는 해양준설토의 재활용에 대한 필요성을 절감하고 이에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있고, 국내에서도 연구의 필요성이 부각되고 있다. 실내모형실험을 실시한 결과 뒤채움재로 유동성 채움재(CLSM)를 사용하는 경우에 일반모래와 현장발생토사를 사용한 경우보다 관의 수직 수평변위 및 지표면변위를 감소시키는 것으로 해석되었다. 이는 유동성 채움재(CLSM)의 특징 중 자기수평능력과 자기강도발현특성에 의해 양생이 진행됨에 따라 파형강관 주변의 유동성 채움재(CLSM)가 굳어 강성화 되고, 이것이 P.V.C관과의 일체화를 통한, P.V.C관의 단면강도를 증진시켜준 효과로 해석할 수 있다. 그리고 뒤채움재의 종류에 따른 P.V.C관의 토압특성은 뒤채움재로 일반모래와 현장발생토사를 대체하여 유동성 채움재(CLSM)를 사용한 경우에 관에 작용하는 수직 수평토압이 거의 0에 가까운 값으로 현저히 작아짐을 알 수 있었다. 이는 실내 모형실험로부터 뒤채움재로 유동성 채움재(CLSM)를 사용하는 것이 지하 매설관에 발생하는 각종 파손을 감소시키고, 안정성을 높이는 최선의 대안으로 판단된다.

사방댐 준설이 계류의 지형변화에 미치는 영향 - 지상 LiDAR 자료를 이용하여 - (Topographical Changes in Torrential Stream After Dredging in Erosion Control Dam - Using Terrestrial LiDAR Data -)

  • 본 연구는 사방댐의 준설작업이 퇴사선내 계류의 지형변화에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해서 준설을 시행한 사방댐과 준설을 시행하지 않은 사방댐을 대상으로 지상 LiDAR 측량을 실시하고 경사도 및 체적의 지형변화를 평가하였다. 지상 LiDAR 장비는 사용자의 숙련도에 영향을 받지 않고 쉽게 지형변화를 관측할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 본 연구결과, 경사도 변화는 토양침식 유발의 위험이 높은 경사도($20^{\circ}{\sim}40^{\circ}$)가 차지하는 비율은 준설을 시행한 사방댐 지역보다 준설을 시행하지 않은 사방댐에서 수치적으로는 더 높게 나타났지만, 우기후 위험구역은 준설을 시행하지 않은 사방댐에서 더 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 체적변화는 준설을 시행한 사방댐에서 침식과 퇴적이 규칙적인 양상으로 나타났지만, 준설을 시행하지 않은 사방댐에서는 침식과 퇴적이 불규칙적으로 나타났다. 그리고 정량적 분석결과 준설을 시행하지 않은 사방댐에 비해 준설을 시행한 사방댐에서 우기후 $m^2$당 1.7배 더 많은 토사가 유입되었다. 조사대상지의 강우량 차이는 토사유출량에 미치는 영향이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 준설을 시행한 사방댐에서는 준설을 시행하지 않은 사방댐에서보다 우기를 지나면서 토양침식의 위험이 높은 경사도 분포가 증가하고, 준설작업을 시행한 지역의 상류계류에서 토사가 많이 유입된 것으로 나타났다.

준설토 이송고효율화를 위한 유동특성의 실험적 분석 (Experimental study on flow characteristics for the high efficiency transporting of the dredged soil)

  • 준설토 이송 시 윤활층에 전자기장을 인가하여 이송 동력을 절감하고, 송토량을 증가시키는 연구의 일환으로, 이런 전자기장 장치의 실제 적용성을 검증하고자 실현장 8.5km의 이송거리의 준설현장에 전자기장 장치를 설치하여 그 효과를 검증하였다. 이송 유속에 관계되는 운전 조건 및 토질상태와 유동상태를 모니터링하고, 획득한 데이터를 송토량과 동력 사이의 관계로 정리하여 전자기장 인가 후 약 30%의 동력대비 이송량 증가가 있음을 확인하였고, 이를 통해 전자기장 인가가 준설토 이송 시 동력절감에 효과가 있음을 확인하였다.
