The double nitride layer Metal Nitride Oxide Semiconductor(MNOS) structures were fabricated by variating both gas ratio and nitride thickness, and by duplicating nitride deposited and one nitride layer MNOS structure to improve nonvolatile memory characteristics of MNOS structures by Low Pressure Chemical Vapor Deposition(LPCVD) method. The nonvolatile memory characteristics of write-in, erase, memory retention and degradation of Bias Temperature Stress(BTS) were investigated by the homemade automatic .DELTA. $V_{FB}$ measuring system. In the trap density double nitride layer structures were higher by 0.85*10$^{16}$$m^{-2}$ than one nitride layer structure, and the AVFB with oxide field was linearly increased. However, one nitride layer structure was linearly increased and saturated above 9.07*10$^{8}$ V/m in oxide field. In the erase behavior, the hole injection from silicon instead of the trapped electron emission was observed, and also it was highly dependent upon the pulse amplitude and the pulse width. In the memory retentivity, double nitrite layer structures were superior to one nitride layer structure, and the decay rate of the trapped electron with increasing temperature was low. At increasing the number on BTS, the variance of AVFB of the double nitride layer structures was smaller than that of one nitride layer structure, and the trapped electron retention rate was high. In this paper, the double nitride layer structures were turned out to be useful in improving the nonvolatile memory characteristics.
The main objective of this study was to investigate effects of pigment mixed with different ratio on the double coated paper. Mineral pigments such as clay and ground calcium carbonate(GCC) as well as hollow sphere plastic pigment were used to evaluate the physical, optical properties and printabilities of double coated paper. The physical properties such as gloss and smoothness, and the printability(ink gloss) of double coated paper were measured to evaluate the effects of the bottom layer on improving the properties of top layer. The data indicated that the usage of hollow sphere plastic pigment for the bottom layer coating improved the surface properties of double coated paper, and that ink gloss was significantly influenced by the structure of bottom layer even when hollow sphere plastic pigment was used for the bottom layer coating.
A novel voltage sag compensator with hi-directional DC/DC converter of Electric double layer capacitor is proposed. Recently, the double-layer capacitor which is drawn attention as a new energy storage element has a lot of advantage such as no maintenance, long lifetime and quick charge/discharge characteristics with large current. This DC/DC converter is used to control the charging current to the double-layer capacitor and also used to keep the DC link voltage constant for discharge of the double-layer capacitor. Therefore, the proposed DC/DC converter has the high-efficiency controller, dynamic compensator of voltage sag is driven by this converter. Finally, experimental results show the validity of the control scheme and the ability of the dynamic voltage compensator.
Mesoporous activated carbon fiber (ACF) was prepared from phenolic resin containing a small amount (0.1 wt %) of organic nickel complex through carbonization and steam activation. Microporous ACF as reference sample was also prepared from phenolic resin without agent. In both cases of the mesoporous ACFs and the microporous ACFs, the electric double layer capacitance of the nonaqueous electrolyte (0.5 M $TEABF_4$/PC or 1.0 M $LiClO_4$/PC) was not proportional to the BET specific surface area. This is owing to the low permeability of nonaqueous electrolyte or the low mobility of ion in narrow micropores. However, the mesoporous ACF showed higher double layer capacitance than the microporous (normal) ACF. This result suggests that the presence of many mesopores promotes the formation of effective double layer or the transfer of ion in the micropore.
The present sustained-release terfenadine-pseudoephedrine HCl dosage form was the core tablet composed of outer (fast-release) layer containing 60 mg of terfenadine and l0mg of pseudoephedrine HCl, and inner (sustained-release) layer containing 110 mg of pseudoephedrine HCl. The purpose of this study was to investigate the possibility of formulating the terfenadine-pseudoephedrine HCl double-layered tablet which was bioequivalent to the core tablet. Its sustained-release and fast-release layer were formulated with disintegrating agents and polymers, respectively, varying with their kinds and amounts. The comparative dissolution test of double-layered and core tablet was carried out at pH 1.2, 4.0 and 6.8, leading to select composite of double-layered tablet whose dissolution pattern was similar to that of core tablet. It was composed of fast-release layer containing 60mg of terfenadine. 10 mg of pseudoephedrine HCl, sodium bicarbonate, microcrystalline cellulose and sodium starch glycolate, and sustained-release layer containing 110 mg of pseudoephedrine HCl and ethylcellulose/hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) (110/30 mg/tablet).

The electronic absorption and surface morphology evolution of two types of molecular double layer thin films, copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) layer deposited on chloro[subphthalocyaninato]boron(III) (SubPc) layer, denoted as SubPc/CuPc, and vice versa, with various thicknesses were investigated using ultraviolet (UV)-visible spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Both types of double layer structures showed similar broadened absorption patterns in the UV-visible region that were consistent with the fitted spectra following simple linear combination of the single layer absorption spectra of the two materials. In contrast, the surface morphology of double layer structures was dependent on the order of deposition. For the CuPc/SubPc structures, surface morphology was characterized by elongated grains, which are characteristic of SubPc thin films, indicating that the morphological influence of the underlying CuPc layer on the subsequent SubPc layer was not large. For the SubPc/CuPc structures, however, the underlying SubPc layer acted as a morphological template for the subsequently deposited CuPc layer. It was also observed that the grain size of the CuPc layer varied according to the thickness of the underlying SubPc layer.
Macroperforations improve the sound absorption performance of porous materials in acoustic cavities and in waveguides. In an acoustic cavity, enhanced noise reduction is achieved using porous materials having macroperforations. Double porosity materials are obtained by filling these macroperforations with different poroelastic materials having distinct physical properties. The locations of macroperforations in porous layers can be chosen based on cavity mode shapes. In this paper, the effect of variation of macroporosity and double porosity in porous materials on noise reduction in an acoustic cavity is presented. This analysis is done keeping each perforation size constant. Macroporosity of a porous material is the fraction of area covered by macro holes over the entire porous layer. The number of macroperforations decides macroporosity value. The system under investigation is an acoustic cavity having a layer of poroelastic material rigidly attached on one side and excited by an internal point source. The overall sound pressure level (SPL) inside the cavity coupled with porous layer is calculated using mixed displacement-pressure finite element formulation based on Biot-Allard theory. A 32 node, cubic polynomial brick element is used for discretization of both the cavity and the porous layer. The overall SPL in the cavity lined with porous layer is calculated for various macroporosities ranging from 0.05 to 0.4. The results show that variation in macroporosity of the porous layer affects the overall SPL inside the cavity. This variation in macroporosity is based on the cavity mode shapes. The optimum range of macroporosities in poroelastic layer is determined from this analysis. Next, SPL is calculated considering periodic and nodal line based optimum macroporosity. The corresponding results show that locations of macroperforations based on mode shapes of the acoustic cavity yield better noise reduction compared to those based on nodal lines or periodic macroperforations in poroelastic material layer. Finally, the effectiveness of double porosity materials in terms of overall sound pressure level, compared to equivolume double layer poroelastic materials is investigated; for this the double porosity material is obtained by filling the macroperforations based on mode shapes of the acoustic cavity.

The double layer screen plate tensioned with two sheets screen mesh is more thicker than that of one screen sheet. The double layer screen plate piled up with two sheets screen 200# or overlapped with a sheet screen 110# and a sheet screen 305# is more thicker than single layer screen plate with one sheet screen 420#. As the screen plate composed of two sheets screen has more accumulated ink capacity than one sheet of screen, printing printed with it has a good plasticity. And the single layer screen plate that accumulate a small quantity of ink has an excellent representation than the double layer screen plate but lower plasticity.

Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells(DSSCs) consist of a titanium dioxide($TiO_2$) nano film of the photo electrode, dye molecules on the surface of the $TiO_2$ film, an electrolyte layer and a counter electrode. But two transparent conductive oxide(TCO) substrates are estimated to be about 60[%] of the total cost of the DSSCs. Currently novel TCO-less structures have been investigated in order to reduce the cost. In this study, we suggested a TCO-less DSSCs which has titanium double layer electrodes. Titanium double layer electrodes are formed by electron-beam evaporation method. Analytical instruments such as electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope were used to evaluate the TCO-less DSSCs. As a result, the proposed structure decreases energy conversion efficiency and short-circuit current density compared with the conventional DSSCs structure with FTO glass, while internal series impedance of TCO-less DSSCs using titanium double layer electrodes decreases by 27[%]. Consequently, the fill factor is improved by 28[%] more than that of the conventional structure.
